True to the doctor's words, Kayden's healing process was fast, although I beat him to it when I got to the finish line first. His recovery felt like this immense reward he got for sticking it out throughout the longevity of his coma.

For sticking it out for me. For saving my life.

Sometimes, I wonder what would have happened to me if Kayden had not interrupted my kidnap situation with Tyler. Sure I may have had whatever stupid conversation that Tyler wanted us to have, but what next? Would Tyler have left me alive? Or dead?

Well, my mind tells me that it would have been the latter.

After a duration of complete three weeks in the hospital, the doctor finally certified that Kayden could go home and continue the rest of his treatment in the comfort of his home. Although I was the first to be discharged a week earlier, I still visited the hospital frequently to look after Kayden. I felt like leaving his side was like staying away from my air source, so I stayed with him. All the time.
