CHAPTER 48

BLAIR POV

"I'm sorry, but what are you doing?" I gasped, still catching my breath from the kiss we had just shared.

He frowned, looking down at me. "You weren't at your desk. I wanted to have lunch with you. Is that a problem?"

"I already had lunch with Samuel and Rosa. We had breakfast this morning, remember?" I replied. But instead of listening, he brushed my hair aside and kissed the side of my neck.

"I wanted more than breakfast with you," he murmured, his eyes intense. "I was alone at my desk."

"You should've left the office. Gone to a restaurant," I suggested, my toes curling in my shoes from his touch. "We can't do this here, Ronnell."

I bit my lower lip, aware that I was perhaps overstepping. This was his company after all, and he had every right to dictate what happened within its walls. I should have voiced my reservations about what we were doing, but the words were stuck in my throat. If I'd said anything, he might have agreed, and the thought of that was unbearable.
