Angeline still held some respect for Hiram. Whether in terms of their business dealings or the time Angeline had stormed out of the gathering between the four reputable families, Hiram had been somewhat protective of her. And so, she returned the favor by being respectful to him.

"I'm going to have to take a rain check on that. I need to head home and clean up before heading to work," she said with a smile.

"Call me anytime if you need anything at the hospital. If you can't reach me, you can always call my assistants, Taylor Powell and Jamie Tatum."

"Alright, then. Thanks for everything," Hiram said.

"I need to head to work, too. If you need my help with anything, Mr. Scott, just call me," Nathaniel said.

Hiram nodded.

He told Fabian, "See Angeline and Nathaniel off."

Fabian pressed the call button for the elevator. He followed Nathaniel and Angeline into the elevator.

Nathaniel asked Angeline, "Where are you headed?"

"Grand Court Residences," she said.

"Let me hitch a rid
