Chapter 241

She walked over to the door of the guest room and knocked on it. She wanted to ask Sean if he wanted to eat breakfast. There was no answer, so she pushed the door open.

The room was so tidy that no one seemed to have slept there. There was no one in the bathroom either.

It was very early in the morning. Angeline wondered if Sean had gone to work yet.

Angeline pulled her dressing gown tighter around her. She pulled out her phone and hesitated. As she wondered if she should call Sean to ask, she received a message from him.

"I won't be coming over for the next few days. I'll pick you up on the day of Mr. Lawson Senior's birthday party."

Angeline returned to the living room and sat down on the sofa. She stared into the distance as she clutched her phone tightly.
