Broken Heart

Later that evening Jackson, Emily ,Sam and Elena all sat around the dinner table in silence. Jackson tried to ease the tension between Emily and Elena but both women were too alike. Stubborn to the bone, neither willing to set aside their grievances.

"So Sam what plans do you have over the next few days." Jackson asked curiously.

"I will head into the city tomorrow, probably visit the office. Try to see if anything comes back to me. I know the next part won't make any sense to you but I would like to book a flight to China for next week please if that is possible" Sam still had to visit China and see what Donn needs him to do over there. The quicker he went the quicker he could make it back. He was too interested to see what Donn had in store for him.

Bang!!! Cutlery smashed on the plates as Emily and Elena looked at Sam. "What do you mean go to China" both said in unison.

Sam knew that they would have this reaction. A man with "no memories" wants to suddenly visit China. It's better to be up front with what he needs to do then hide it.

"I'm sorry I just have to go, I seen it on the laptop in the hospital. I would like to take time to myself for a while. Whilst I adjust to everything. I think it's exactly where I need to be at the moment. I hope you can all understand." Sam said determinedly hoping that Jackson and Emily could see that they couldn't change his mind.

"No problem son, we have a private jet that can take you whenever you want to go" jackson quickly jumped in before the others could.

"What do you mean no problem Sam was only discharged from the hospital this morning and you already want to send him on his way jackson are you serious" Emily Roared and Elena nodded in agreement. Both for once on the same page. Neither wanted Sam to go anywhere for the time being.

"Emily, Elena I am willing to let Sam go because I can see the situation he is in. He knows nothing of his life before he woke except from everything we have told him. It's only natural that he wants time to find out who he is now. After all his memories might not return. It's the truth whether we are willing to accept it or not. Sam when you want to go. Just let Nathan know he will prepare everything for you." Jackson seemed more resolute when he said this. Emily and Elena knew what Jackson said to be true. In the end they could only return to finishing their meal.

"Is there anywhere particular you want to go China" Jackson was still interested in why Sam wanted to go to China suddenly.

"I would like to see the Famen temple in Xi'an" Sam answered as he took a sip of his drink.

"Well have fun and make sure to take time to yourself to relax" Jackson smiled.

"Thank you Dad" Sam showed his appreciation by nodding his head towards him. Jackson Smiled, looked at Emily then continued with his meal.

Later that Night as Sam went to his room. He couldn't help but look around at the original Sam's belongings looking at photos of him and Elena, The trophy's and Badges from his school achievements and the clothes that Sam had in his closet. He was interupted when a knock on his door which slowly opened to reveal Elena coming in. With out saying a word she approached Sam and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"Is everything ok" Sam spoke to break the silence.

"Forgive me, When I think of everything your going through my heart breaks and I just want to hold you" Elena sobbed.

"It's ok, It's strange but I'm slowly coming to terms with everything. I just need time" Sam reassured Elena.

But in his head Sam was conflicted. After hearing the story of Sam and Elena, it didn't sit well to take advantage of Elena who clearly loved the real Sam and to do anything or continue anything with Elena felt wrong. Sam had come to the decision to push Elena away.

Elena on the other hand wanted to get close to Sam she raise her head from his chest. She raised her feet till she was on her toes and kissed Sam Intimately.

Sam was stunned at first her soft lips and her body pressed against him were pushing all rational thoughts from his mind. Elenas tongue quickly but gently enter his mouth as she unbuttoned his shirt.

Sam didn't realize he has gotten caught in the moment until Elena but his lower lip. Sam quickly pushed Elena away before catching his breath.

Shit this woman is a enchantress. One kiss and I was done....Fuck.

"I'm sorry but we can't Elena" Sam said breathlessly.

"Why.......did I do something wrong?" Elena looked at Sam small teardrops forming in the corner of her eyes.

"No you did nothing wrong, It's just the Sam you knew is not here anymore Elena. If I do anything with you. I feel I am disgracing the love you and he shared" Sam spoke tenderly trying to let her down as gently as possible.

What he said wasn't a lie. Sam was gone. Only Michael the body snatcher was here and as beautiful as Elena was . He couldn't bring himself to act upon his lust.

"But you might regain your memories Sam, what we had was special and I don't want to give up on us I love you so much." Emily Pleaded.

"And what If the Sam you knew never comes back and it's only me like this for the rest of our life's" Sam was quick to respond.

"If your old memories are gone forever, We have the rest of our lives to make new ones" Emily was also ready to retort anything Sam had to say.

Sam knew this could go on forever so he hardened himself.

"Elena at the moment I don't know you shit I don't even know myself. I can understand that the man I was before, you loved very much but I'm not that man. I have no feelings towards you. I need to find out who I am first before I can decide how to spend my life and I don't know how long that will take it could be years for all I know. It is not fair to you to make you wait while I do this. I think it is best for both of us is to cancel the engagement and give each other space"

Emily eyes widened, tears streamed down her red cheeks that last sentence broke her heart. Heartache could clearly be seen on her face. She slowly turned and walked to the door. She paused her steps before saying "Sam I really truly love you and I will try to be supportive of you. Take all the time you need. I will wait for you always even if it takes years I will wait." She quickly left before Sam could reply she could see how resolute he was in his eyes and that she couldn't change his mind. She wiped the tears from her face and quickly left the Kent Estate.

Sam was back in the room guilt ridden. He knew deep down that what he did was the right thing to do. Elena loved Sam not Michael. He took over his body but refused to live the life that should have been Sam's. Sam shook his head and wiped his mouth. Elena had broke the skin on his lip when she bit him. As he looked at the blood "what a kiss" was all he could say as he took and shower and went to bed.

Anderson Family

"Dad, Stephen and I have set a meeting up with the Chairman of Kent Global tomorrow afternoon to discuss the work on the Black Mountain estates." Ryan informed his father

James has been staying mainly in his study Since Michaels death. He has mainly delegated all work at Anderson Ltd to Stephen and Ryan. He has not spoken to Katherine since that night.

"Are plans still moving forward" James spoke Coldly. Ryan felt a cold Sweat forming on his back. "Yes.....yes Dad once the contract has successfully been passed and details have been agreed Kent Global will pay the Fees up front" Ryan nervously said. His felt nothing but pure fear towards his father. There was no emotion on his face even when Michael died. There was nothing.

"Where's Stephen" James asked satisfied with what Ryan had said previously.

"He is at the office preparing for tomorrow" Ryan quickly answered.

But if they were at Anderson Ltd Stephen was far from preparing for the meeting. He had his secretary naked bent over his desk in a very compromising position. There was no preparation involved that night. But back to the Anderson family.

"Okay that is all, you can go, Get the woman to make some food for me. I'm hungry." James demanded.

Ryan nodded at his father and made he way to Katherine relaying James message.

Katherine didn't reply she simply went to the kitchen and prepared a meal for James, Ryan's and Stephen. Even though Stephen was not home he could reheat it when he gets in. Katherine has shed tears every night in secret since Michael died but did not let James or her son's see this.

After she gave James his meal she did not speak or look at James directly she simply placed the plate down and left to return to her room. She approached her computer and turned the screen back on. The screen showed a picture and a headline. Katherine stared at the screen before muttering "the time is approaching and we shall meet soon". If Michael was here he would be shocked to see the picture on the screen was a picture of Sam.
