Chapter 296

Inside the hospital ward.

Kelsey was lying on the bed and receiving an IV drip.

Her ankle injury had been properly dressed and bandaged.

The IV drip contained a mixture of painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs that helped with lessening the pain.

“Kelsey, how do you feel now?”

Tyler sat next to her bed and observed her pale complexion with a sympathizing look in her eyes. His voice was especially gentle.

“I’m feeling much better!” Kelsey strained a smile. “What did the doctor say?”

“The doctor said there is nothing to worry about and that all you need to recover is bed rest.” Tyler made himself smile so Kelsey would not worry so much.

“See? I told you it’s no big deal!” Kelsey remarked with a smile.

A dark look appeared deep underneath Tyler’s eyes.

He did not mention how long it was going to take for Kelsey to fully recover.

Nor did he tell her the full extent of how serious her injury was.

He worried it would be too much for her to bear.
