Chapter 16

Tyler averted his gaze, restraining himself from looking at Kelsey.

He kept his head down and put the cap on the ointment before placing it back in the medical kit.

“Get an early rest.”

Tyler got up, ready to leave.

What was that supposed to mean?

Kelsey stared at his receding back in confusion.

She could sense his yearning, and unlike before, she was more than happy to give him what he wanted.

Yet, Tyler still walked out on her.

“Where are you going?” Kelsey asked in disbelief.

“The study,” Tyler replied in a raspy voice while striding to the door.

Surprise fleeted across Kelsey’s eyes.

“Aren’t… sleeping with me?” She asked meekly.

A wave of despair weighed heavily on her.

Tyler let her stick around, put her in his shirt, and rested her head on his bed.

Even at that point, he would not touch her.

Kelsey did not see the point of staying at his place.

She simply did not get it.

Tyler would not give her an answer either.

He had left the master bedroom
