Chapter 9

Colin's POV:

The first time I saw Hazel Larson was during our college's student orientation. She was not embarrassed about showing her physical disability to others. With a bright smile on her face, she even told her peers not to be overly considerate of her because of it.

At the time, I thought she was really brave.

The second time I saw her was at the art studio. Her left hand was shaking as she held a carving knife with that hand. It seemed like she was practicing something back then.

I heard that her father was a pretty well-known sculptor. Hazel had displayed a lot of talent in sculpting too. However, she had to give up on it because of a certain incident.

I watched her from outside the studio for quite a long time that day. I even secretly picked up and held onto the sculpture she discarded at that time.

She always had a smile on her face. So, I thought she must come from a happy family. That was until I saw her getting cornered by a girl one day.

I knew who that girl was.
