‘Damn! Issac!’
I cursed annoyedly while walking hastily through the vast and empty corridor of the second floor. I was impatiently trying to call him, ‘Why isn’t he picking up?’
My eyes were bordered with tears and my mouth was as pale as my cheeks.
I hastily walked out of the Velvet Villa in search of a taxi. It was so early in the morning that there was barely any guard so none tried to stop or question my messy and suspicious appearance.
Holding my heels with one hand, I was staggering and dragging myself as far away from the Velvet Vila as possible. My head was still throbbing and my vision was blurry due to the tears, clouding my burning eyes.
An inner torment began to gnaw at me as memories were burning my heart. I mumbled, biting my lips hard to control my tears, “How! How the hell did I end up with him again?’
While remembering about last night, my face turned red and gloomy as I mumbled, “I- I just h-hate him so much. I never wanna-”
My voice just choked in the middle of the sentence. Tears began to roll down from my eyes. It was the biggest lie of my life which I repeated to myself for the last 5 years. But, that day when I saw him again, lying next to me, I realised that I was still a fool to love my greatest enemy who destroyed my entire family, and my happiness and even wiped out my existence.
‘Beeepppp!’
The loud sound of the car's horn interrupted my train of thought as I heard Issac’s voice from behind, “Lily, get inside the car.”
“Huh?”
“Hurry! Get inside the car,” Issac repeated his words impatiently. I was puzzled, frustrated and in misery. Somehow I threw my heavy and numb body inside the car. I could hear Issac’s concerned and blurred voice, asking me numerous questions.
However, leaning against the window glass, I just closed my eyes and surrendered to my tormented emotions and aching heart.
‘Those happy days! I wish I could just go back 5 years ago and fix all my mistakes. I wish we had never met before, Keir…’

[POV of Eliza Claire Gold when she was 19 years old]
“Eliza! Wake up already!”
My beautiful morning dream was spoiled by the sharp voice of Aunt Christi. While opening the huge curtains of the bedside window, she began her usual lecture, “Eliza, today is an important day of your life. How can you just keep sleeping till now? Do you know how late it is? Guests have already started arriving and here you are. Still sleeping!!”
I groaned in my sleepy voice, “5 more minutes, Aunt!”
“No, leave your bed right now, Eliza,” Aunt Chirsti sat on my bed as she added while running her fingers gently through my messy hair, “Alpha is very excited about tonight’s party. He has ordered everyone strictly that this party must be the most luxurious and perfect one. I hope that you will not like to disappoint him.”
My body was aching due to my first transformation of the previous night. It felt like all my energy was drained suddenly. Still, I slipped out of my cosy bed while rubbing my sleepy eyes as I complained, pouting, “I hate social events, Aunt. Can’t I just skip it?”
“Ladyy! How can you skip your own rebirth party? This party is for celebrating your first transformation and you don’t want to join. Seriously?”
I nodded my head, sighing, “Yup, I feel uncomfortable in the crowd.” While stretching my body, I whined painfully, “My body is hurting so badly, Aunt. I don’t even think that I can leave my bed to-”
“STOP TALKING ALREADY!”
Aunt Christi yelled, pushing me inside the washroom, “Hurry and freshen up, Eliza. I am preparing your dress.”
“Aghh! My life is so difficult.”
I stomped inside the washroom while murmuring annoyedly. I turned on the shower and instantly, warm water began to wash away all my exhaustion.
I could still hear Aunt’s voice, “Your life can’t be more difficult than mine. No job is more difficult than taking care of you two.”
I giggled playfully as I commented, “Don’t spread rumours, Aunt. I am an obedient lady. I never cause you trouble.”
“Of course. After all, you are the trouble yourself.”

Though Aunt Christi was very strict with me, she always showered me with affection and care. When I was only 6, my mother passed away and from then, my Aunt looked after me and Eden, my elder brother.
Eden was a perfect lad though. He was studious with an intellectual and calm personality and possessed that perfect, dominating aura of an Alpha. Our pack members were quite satisfied, realising that our pack’s future was in secure hands.
However, my father, Alpha Edward, loved both of us immensely.
Eden and I grew up, getting the same kind of teachings and training. Though I was the rebellious one who always caused them trouble, they still loved me immensely. My life was just perfect as the little princess of the Golden Heart pack.
Until that day of my rebirth party…
Hope you all are enjoying the story. The book is going to be a real roller coaster of emotions and affection. Keep reading to be a part of Eliza's life. Don't forget to drop your precious comments.
“Make Haste, Eliza! Eden is waiting for you outside,” Aunt Christi was running behind me, holding my handbag while I was still trying to fix my extravagant and heavy gown. It was the first time I had attended such a huge social gathering; I was feeling extremely anxious, too.One of my grooming ladies tried to calm me down, “Little Missy, that gown looks so elegant on you.”While rubbing my fingers nervously, I scanned myself once again in the huge oval mirror of my bedroom as I mumbled, “Don’t you think that this dress is a little too much? I think that I should wear something casual and-”“You can think later. We are already running late.”Shoving my matching handbag in my hands, Aunt Christi just walked me out of the room, holding my wrist. My heart was thumping so loudly that I couldn’t hear any other sound around me. My introverted personality was screaming in frustration. The moment Aunt opened the door, I found Eden, leaning against a huge pillar of our vast corridor. He was lo
Darkness was ruling over the Starfall forest.‘Hoot! Hoot!’ The frequent screaming of the owls bothered the enigmatic tranquillity of the night until footsteps began to increase, crackling the dry branches and leaves under its claws. It was the footsteps of a night creature that was running through that dense, Starfall forest of Auryn. Her breathing was heavier as she ran faster until she reached the top of the mountain that was separating Auryn and Verena, working as a border between those two kingdoms. That golden she-wolf stood higher on her hind legs, pointing her nose towards the moon. The silvery moon, loomed large, surrounded by an ethereal glow like the mighty queen of the velvety black sky. The stars in the presence of the moon made it the guardian of all the stars. That Shewolf’s golden and silky fur tousled by the soft breezes of the spring as her rare purple eyes were the colour of lavenders; lively, enchanting, and beautiful. Breaking that serene silence of that silve
POV of Eliza Claire Gold(5 years later, Velvet Villa, Starlight Kingdom)‘Knock! Knock!’“Are you ready, Lily?”Issac’s gentle voice echoed from the opposite side of the door as I checked myself once again, staring at my reflection in the huge, round mirror of the washroom, and then replied, curling my lips into a seductive smile, “More than ready, Sir. Let’s taste some exotic wine tonight.”“Not Sir. It is Issac. How many times do I have to correct you?” Issac protested annoyedly.Clicking my tongue, I only blurted out a tiny ‘sorry’ in response. Grabbing my masquerade mask, I fixed my astounding and comfortable, red dress, embroidered with shimmering golden threads. However, it was a little too revealing and attention-seeking, not according to my taste. While putting on the mask, I opened the door and approached Issac Liwan, my senior and trainer who was standing all dressed up in a maroon tuxedo. Issac swung his head around to look up at me. He scanned me critically and beamed
(POV of Eliza Claire Gold)‘Damn! It looks magnificent.’I mumbled as I entered the vast hall of the VIP floor. It was more extravagantly decorated than the ground floor. A famous pianist was playing a gentle piano tune as some luxuriously dressed couples were swaying their bodies along with it. ‘I should go and find Mr Hogg before anyone else recognises me here,’ I thought to myself as I paved my way through the crowd. Instead of taking the left, I turned right in the direction of the confidential area. That floor was specially reserved for the elite guests of the party so the security was also very strict there. The moment I tried to enter the corridor of the guests’ rooms, I was stopped by two guards who blocked my path, “May we see your ID card, Mam?”“Sure, one minute”, I pretended for a moment to search inside my handbag. Then I flashed them a disappointed smile as I answered in my honeyed tone while playing with a strand of my hair, “I am so sorry. I just forgot it in the ro
Wait! Let me accompany-”Before Juliet could finish her sentence, I ran through the crowd in the opposite direction of Sasha. ‘No! No! How can she be here? She was occupied on the other side of the party! I can never meet her.;’‘H-How will she react if just for once I talk with- What am I even thinking!’ Thousands of conflicting thoughts were in my head when I barged into the washroom. Without realising it, my vision blurred by tears. The tears I always tried to hide from everyone, began to run down from my eyes. Biting my lips, I tried to control the sobs as I kept on murmuring, “Calm down! Calm down! I have an important mission to handle. I must not get distracted.”Taking deep breaths, I calmed myself down and wiped away the tears from the corners of my eyes. But the memories that I was trying to suppress were constantly tormenting me within. After waiting a while, I decided to go back to the party, suppressing my emotions. Obviously, that mission was more important than my sil
