Ch 6

Samson sat on the couch in his apartment watching a show on tv .

A bottle of vodka was on the table in front of him and half pack of cigarette .

The doorbell rang and he groaned and grudgingly stood up .

He opened the door and was surprised to see Suzy .

“Hi babe .i wasn’t expecting you “He said

“Yeah ...”She breathes out and walked in .

“We need to talk “She said immediately .

“About what?..Is everything okay ,babe ?”He asked observing her troubled face .

“It just that ...I don’t how how to say this but I will anyways ..”She started .”We should break up “She dropped the bomb .

“Wha ...What !”He was completely taken aback .

“Don’t try to convince me otherwise ,Have made up my mind “She said sadly .

“Bu ..but why ?,Have I done something wrong ?,You don’t love me anymore ?,You found a better guy ...,You think am not good enough..?,You ....”

“Just stop !”Suzy cuts him off .

“I still love you but ...”

“But what ?

“My mom doesn’t support our relationship,My friends don’t either .Have not been in good terms with my loved ones ever since I started dating you .i didn’t care at first hoping you would change but no ,Have waited enough ..see..”pointing at the pack of cigarette on the table ”...you are smoking again ...”She sighed  ...”My mom wants me with a more responsible guy .We should just break up okay! “Suzy poured out.

Samson moved closer to her leaving no space between them .He caressed her face .

“Am really sorry baby .Am just so addicted to it but I promise I will change .I will try to stop .I don’t want to ever lose you .please don’t leave me babe “He said sadly .

He really do love Suzy .He haven’t felt like that for a girl for that .He will forever grateful he met Suzy .

“You will find someone better .just let break up “Suzy commented feeling dizzy all of a sudden .

“Ain’t letting you “He said and started tracing his fingers on her lips .

She opened her mouth to say something but he shushed her by placing his lips on his .

He started kissing her gently at first .She wanted to push him off but melted immediately he touched her  and reciprocated deepening the kiss .

The kiss got hotter and he carried her and place her on the couch .He resumed kissing her .

Suzy suddenly push him off her .

“What wrong ....?”He asked

“I don’t know .am not feeling too good ...”She stated feeling the urge to puke .

She looked pale and her lips is a bit swollen from the kiss .

“Will you ...........”He was saying and stopped

when she holds her mouth with her hand  trying to get up but unfortunately vomited on Samson’s shirt and the couch .

“Wtf!”Samson eyes widened staring at her completely gobsmacked .

{Monday }

  Home room class)

“Hey what up with you ..You have been gloomy “Kizzy commented.

“Nothing “Flora replied same thing for the umpteenth time .

“Am your best friend .Just tell me what bothering you “Kizzy said looking at flora worriedly .

Flora gulped down nothing and looks at Kizzy with jealously .

What so special about her ?Why did Nick like her friend and not her .Kizzy is beautiful ..Yes,! but she is also beautiful .

Kizzy is smart ...,She is also smart .

Kizzy is jovial ,fun to be with...She is also .

So why couldn’t Nick like her too .

She haven’t been herself ever since the date with Nick.

She wanted to miss school but her mom won’t hear of it .

She feels sick and sad and maybe depressed .

“Do you like Nick ?”Flora suddenly asked Kizzy .

“Ewww!No!...Wtf!..Why would you ask me that .You know how much I despise that ugly dude “Kizzy screwed her face disgustingly .

“He is not not ugly “Flora frowned .

“Of course he is ...wait a minute ..Do you like Nick or something ?”Kizzy widened her eyes .

“No ,I don’t “Flora lied feeling sick again .

“Better “Kizzy smiled ...

Flora noticed Kizzy happy countenance when she said that but ignored it not bothering to ask why .

{Closing period}

Ben and Riss exit the classroom together immediately the bell rang for closing period .

He couldn’t keep his eyes off her during the day as the thought of going on a date with her keeps popping in his brain and making him excited .

Ben was fighting the urge to hold her hand as they walked side by side at the hallways .

Samson was already waiting outside the school with his car and Riss waved at Ben and left with her brother .

The day ended well for the students except for flora who was feeling sad all day and trying her best to avoid nick.

{Saturday }

The date

...calmly,feel myself evolving

              Appalling so much am not divulging

               Been stalling,I think I hear applauding

Riss concluded the song.Ben who was still gobsmacked and completely taken aback couldn’t close his already opened mouth .

Her voice is gentle ,Melodious and heavenly .

He finally heard her voice for the first time and it wasn’t what he imagined at all .

He woke up early in the morning feeling a rush of adrenaline .

He couldn’t control his happiness as he listened to Justin biebers songs and breakdance in his room as he prepared.he took his bath and wore his well ironed shirt and trouser .

He feels like he is overreacting as it was only 8am and they scheduled the date to start 12pm .

He took off his cloth and ironed it for the second time and sat on his bed glancing at his watch every minute .

The time seems to be moving very slow so he left his house and went to Bella’s.

They played Ludo and she won 10 times in a roll and typically Bella twerked happily in front of Ben who couldn’t stop laughing and shouting

“Stop shaking your small butt !”

She didn’t stop and twerked more to cardi b songs which was blaring loudly from the speakers .

She kept him company till 11am and he quickly dress up and went to Rissa’s house .

After waiting in the Gold’s living room for about 20 minutes and engaging in a conversation with Rissa’s mom,Riss finally showed up looking dazzling and simple .

She wasn’t overdressed as she is dressed in a blue Jean high waist trouser and a blue top with Babe designed on the top with a blue fluffy slippers .

“Am ready !”Riss said smiling .

Ben’s eyes almost bulged out as he stared at her shocked .

It the first time hearing her voice and he couldn’t deny her voice sounds angelic and sweet .

Rissa smiled seeing ben’s reaction .

“Bye mom “Riss waved

“Have fun !”Her mom said in sign language.

Ben didn’t understand what her mom said to Riss but he said nothing but inwardly wished he knew sign language .

Communicating with Riss would have been more easier !

Riss and Ben exit the house waving bye to her mom .

Presently ,Ben and Riss were at a cool restaurant.not so classy and popular.

They had ordered for food and were eating .

Ben couldn’t still believe he could hear her voice .

She surprised him more when she sang and he won’t deny her voice sound heavenly .

“Your voice is so cool .I love it !”He immediately scribes down on a note pad he bought with him .

She smiled and said “My mom do tell me that .I wish I can hear my own voice “She said almost sadly and quickly put on a smile back .

“Anyways ,am hoping to pursue a career in music”She said and he nods .

After leaving the restaurant ,They visited the amusement park .

Riss rode the roller coaster with Ben and she screamed so loud and had to hold Ben’s cloth for support .

She surprisedly enjoyed it and had to persuade Ben to allow them ride for the second time .

After the ride ,they went to buy ice cream and Ben took pictures and videos of Rissa .

“Hey “Ben stooped a lady passing by .

“Can you take pictures of us please ?”he requested .

“Sure “The lady smiled and collected his phone .

Ben posed with Rissa as the lady took the pictures .

“You guys look good together .Don’t dare break her heart “The lady said giving Ben his phone back .

“Sure “Ben winked .

The lady left and Riss and Ben checked the pics they took .

Ben uploaded one on I*******m captioning it “Mon Bebe “ meaning ‘My baby “

Rissa saw this and smiled inwardly blushing hard .

She won’t deny she is been having tingling feelings around Ben and her heart do skips whenever he looks at her .

She feel really happy any time he is with her .

They sighted a couple playing rock ,paper , scissors and Rissaa decided they play.

She won him 5times in a row and she laughed really hard at him .

The date ended on a good note as they decided to go home around 6pm .

Ben and Riss took a cab home as Ben doesn’t have a car yet .The cab stopped at Rissa’s house first .Ben kissed her on her cheek and waved her goodbye .

After making sure she entered her house ..,He told the cab man to take him to his house .

Riss entered her room feeling super happy .She really had fun ..,She won’t deny .

Her mom was making dinner and couldn’t wait to finish cooking and hear the full gist of the date from her daughter .

Riss laid on her bed and stare at the ceiling with a smile on her face.She brought out her phone to text Ben .Almost immediately his text came in .

Ben-Thanks for going out with me

I really enjoyed today

She smiled and replied

Riss-Me too

         

She dropped her phone and opened her drawer and brought out her diary .

She wrote on it ;

Happiest day of my life

And started writing the day’s activities on her diary .

{Later in the night ...}

Ben sat on his bed ,opened his g****e and searched for “HOW TO LEARN SIGN LANGUAGE “
