The man's expression hardens as he walks away from the comfort of his home. He knew what awaited him – a meeting with his henchmen, and whatever issue they deemed important enough to disrupt his day.

He knew they were just doing what he paid them for but he was still annoyed with their timing.

"Sir." The groundskeeper greets as he hands him the key to his car. Mark gives the man an absentminded nod before walking to the vehicle.

"This better be good!." He hisses as he opens the door to his car and slips into the upholstery.

He turns on the engine and quickly drives out of the courtyard and into the rapidly darkening streets.

Arriving at the location they specified, Mark was led to a room where a figure lay on a bed. His eyes narrow at the sight of the woman before him – Rebecca, the former maid who had disappeared without a trace a few months ago. Now, she lay before him, her stomach protruding with the unmistakable signs of pregnancy.
