Arriving at the marriage court, Mark makes a simple phone call, "I'm outside," and in not less than two minute a man dressed in expensive clothings, a lawyer though hurried towards his car. Being someone of curtsey, Mark helps himself down the car and signals the man to a corner, and the two sit and chat till the clock struck twelve. Finally, another man, the lawyer's assistant comes out holding a bunch of documents and hands it to Mark who stands to leave with a larger smile on his face, one better than the one he had earlier. He has to curb the urge to do a happy dance right there in the middle of the street as he made his way back to his car. 'And he said he could take her from me.' He murmurs. The Man crows internally. His blood was pumping furiously. His sleek black car was waiting by the curb, just as he left it. With a smirk, he walks towards it.As he approaches, he notices someone in the car and nearly tenses before seeing the silhouette of one of his trusted men already
"Finally!." Mark huffs out, relief spreading through him at the sight of his objective. The master bedroom was ahead, and his heart quickens as he approaches the closed door. Inside lay Leia, a puzzle piece that could either solidify his power or threaten it. Mark walks briskly through the hallway, his footsteps barely making a sound on the polished wooden floor. The evening light filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow over the place. He stands before the closed door of the Master bedroom, hesitating for a moment. "Focus Mark." The man mutters to himself before placing his hand on the handle and slowly inching it open.Inside, Leia lay peacefully, her chest rising and falling in a rhythmic pattern. Mark's eyes unwittingly soften as he gazes at her. Leia lays on the bed, her dark hair fanned out on the pillows. She looks so innocent, so vulnerable in her slumber. 'You look incapable of even killing a fly' he muses as he stares at her. He can't help but remember the man
Mark!" Leia whines as she pushes him away from her.She glares at Mark, who was sitting there with a mischievous grin."Common tell me!." She yells, fidgeting against the pillows."No~," he says in a single voice."Mark, if you don't tell me now, I will take off my bandages and strangle you with them." She says solemnly, her hands tightening on the said wrappings on her hands. Mark snorts. "Sure you will."The woman's Expression didn't change, as she stared blankly at his face. There was a certain darkness in her eyes. It was eerie and reminded him of the way Leia looked at him when she still had her memories.Like she was one step away from ripping out his throat with her teeth.' she's looking at me like she wants to kill me.' Mark wonders, his gaze still lost in her dark pools. It sent a shiver down my spine, but he ignored this, thinking it was probably a fluke. 'She's just looking at me like that because she's annoyed with my games. Maybe I should tell her just a little bit!.' h
"What did you say?." Leia feels faint as she stares at the male. Mark shrugs, an innocent expression on his handsome face."I said I want to help you today.""You w-want to." She starts slowly, looking like she has a problem processing what the man said. "Help me-." She continues. Mark nods, a small grin on his face."Yes. I want to help you." Mark responds."-take a bath?." She says, uncertainty lacing her words.Mark nods once more, a sly smile on his face that keeps growing at her discomfort."That too." These are his words.Leia flushes as her mouth falls open in shock."W-what!. Why would you want to do that?!. Your maid can help me!."She screeches, pointing a finger at the still woman."Well! Can't you?!." Leia demands sharply. The woman blisters, clearly not expecting to be placed on the spot like that."W-w-well m-miss Leia, y-y-you s-ee, the t-thing is-" she stutters as she twists her fingers in her skirts.Mark grunts as he rises to his feet, his joints stiff from sitting
"somewhere I've always planned to go?" Leia repeats, she can't help but rack her brain throughly to remember if such a place every existed in her memory. "I'm not sure, do you have somewhere in mind?" She asks back staring at Mark who's finding her in the nightdress quite appealing to his eyes. Mark stares blankly at her, nodding like a puppet as he hands her a magazine, but the magazine lands on Leia's thighs and she stares embarrassed. "Oh, I forgot," Mark says as he snaps his fingers, "you can flip through the pages," he tells Leia who' turns away pouting. Mark's fingers trace down Leia's face as he tucks a strand of her hair behind her ears and cups her cheek with one hand. "Aren't you cute when you're angry," he says to her. With a chuckle he moves Leia downwards quite gently and climbs up the bed. He sits with Leia in between his legs and he holds out the book for her. "I bought this on my way back," he tells her. Leia stares at the cover of the magazine and turns aroun
He couldn't wait any longer. He looks over at Leia's bed and heaves a heavy sigh, "She's asleep now but what will happen when she wakes up?" He questions himself. Mark is losing his senses as he stares at Leia in confusion, although he's made that call he's still not sure what the outcome would be. Would she remember him and all the things he's done to her, or would she not remember anything at all? Whatever the case was, Mark was most definitely not ready for the final results. "Is the car ready?" He questions one of his men at the door. "Yes sir, whenever you're ready," the man replies. Mark stares at the sleeping Leia, it's not even been half a day since he came back and now he'll be leaving once again. "Would you be going out sir? What are your orders?" The man asks. The room is silent for a bit, he shuts his eyes, listening to the silence as he gives his response, "postponed the meeting to one week, tell him, I'll be expecting some good news since and try to speed up the
He could only laugh at the betrayal he's received. "We found your fingerprints on this gun, and from the investigation, this gun belongs to you, we also discovered a photo of you leaving the premises with some bloodied tools, we'll be taking you into custody," they tell him. Mark vividly recalls how little he felt that day. The press swarmed around him like flies, camera clicks with bright lights blinding his eyes, as they cry out to him with questions needing to be answered. "Mr Sky, did you commit murder?" They would ask. Their voice grows louder each minute as they push forward, even subduing the cops to hear what the almighty Sky had to say. Mark with his head down wonders to himself, "Have I been abandoned?"The answer, although obvious, is very difficult for him to admit and Mark stays quiet as the vehicle drives away. The first stage of Mark's hate was denial, no amount of words the lawyers said could convince him to disclose the identity of the killer. "With your order
Filled with rage, and hate Mark began his plan to make his enemies crumble, there was only one person on his list that he had to destroy at this point. It wasn't the man who killed his parents, it wasn't his cousin who stole from him as he claims. It was the woman who abandoned him and put him in this wretched situation. If anything, Make craves to end her life after all the lies she's told him. His regret was falling for it in the hopes that perhaps he too could have that happiness and let go of the past. If it means he could settle down with her by his side, he was willing to believe everything she's ever said to him, his biggest downfall, the cause of his crumple was a simple word he's yearned for throughout his years. "I love you," a confession by a woman who simply mistook a crush for love. "You don't have to get too hasty, I don't mind waiting," the man says as he gets ready to return whence he came this time. "All you have to do is give it a day's thought and talk to one
