He could only laugh at the betrayal he's received.

"We found your fingerprints on this gun, and from the investigation, this gun belongs to you, we also discovered a photo of you leaving the premises with some bloodied tools, we'll be taking you into custody," they tell him.

Mark vividly recalls how little he felt that day.

The press swarmed around him like flies, camera clicks with bright lights blinding his eyes, as they cry out to him with questions needing to be answered.

"Mr Sky, did you commit murder?" They would ask.

Their voice grows louder each minute as they push forward, even subduing the cops to hear what the almighty Sky had to say.

Mark with his head down wonders to himself, "Have I been abandoned?"

The answer, although obvious, is very difficult for him to admit and Mark stays quiet as the vehicle drives away.

The first stage of Mark's hate was denial, no amount of words the lawyers said could convince him to disclose the identity of the killer.
