Axton’s P.O.V

Sabrina had tried her best to grab my attention. From the décor to the food and the way she was dressed. Everything had only one intension…to seduce me.

I could see it in the way her lips tilted up; the way her eyes roamed my form hungrily and the way her breasts strained against the fabric of her dress. She was still in heat and she seemed to have chosen me as her target.

The problem here was, I was still unmated and the close proximity between us was making my wolf agitated as well. If I had mated Anika, or if my wolf had formed a mental bond with her wolf, then another wolf’s heat wouldn’t have bothered us. But Anika was human and I had chosen not to give into the temptation of the bond between us, so my wolf was now scratching at me, trying to get close to Sabrina.

“Oh? Then can I have him?”

That question had taken me just as off-guard as it had taken Anika and now that she rushed to the washroom to fix her d

Anika’s P.O.V I ran. It was the only thing I could do after what I had witnessed. I ran… I ran blindly. My heart pounded against my chest as I made my way down the hallways, trying to find my way in this maze of a mansion. Finally, I saw a painting that looked familiar, one that I had seen when I had entered the house and I took the turn, following down that hallway. With how my brain felt jumbled, my thoughts clogged…I was lucky that I could even vaguely remember how I got in. Finally…after what felt like an eternity later, I found the huge mahogany double doors with engravings on it that I entered the mansion through. Pushing on the doors that seemed immobile, I used all my strength to push open one side and then I was out the front door and into the cold night air that made goosebumps appear all over my body. I bent down to place my hands on my knees, taking in deep gulps of air as my lungs threatened to collapse. “

Anika’s P.O.V “Better?” Gustav asked, handing me a cup of warm ginger lemonade that he had just whipped up in my kitchen, as I sat on the couch, the covers thrown over my still trembling form. This was the same couch that Axton slept on every night… Shaking that thought out of my head, I took a sip of the lemonade, feeling the warm, sour liquid travel down my throat, bringing me instant relief. Previously, I had felt like gagging even after Gustav had given me plain water from my car after he had found me sprawled out in the middle of the road. Gustav had escorted me home, leaving his own car behind with Officer Emilio, just so he could drive me home. He’d waited in my kitchen, preparing the lemonade as I took a shower, scrubbing myself raw because I felt so filthy. But now, all I felt was…nothing. I felt completely numb; like I was one step away from having a mental breakdown. “No?” Gustav sat at the foot of the couch, his ha

Axton’s P.O.V “Hello, little brother.” I whipped around to face Gustav, crouching down in preparation for an attack. My wolf snarled inside my mind, wanting to take over, wanting to tear him apart piece by piece. But Gustav merely smirked, leaning against a nearby tree. “I’m not going to attack or try to kill you, Axton.” He shook his head. “I had given up on that idea the second I found out that Anika is your mate.” A growl tore through me. “Don’t you dare go near her!” “Or what?” He tilted his head to the side to study me, the smirk growing wider. “It’s funny how you’re acting the mean, big bad wolf when you have another woman’s scent all over you. Looks like I didn’t have to do much this time, Axton. You screwed up on your own.” “At least I screwed up, Gustav,” I growled at him. “I didn’t murder my own mate.” The next thing I know, I was being slammed against a tree hard enough that leaves fell from the tree

Anika’s P.O.V“Morning Dr. Meh…are you okay?”Fin came around the desk to greet me, her expression concerned as she looked me up and down. “Do you have a fever? Are you sick?”“That horrible, huh?” I asked her. It was Monday morning and I looked like shit.I knew I had to get out of this ridiculous stupor that I was in like my boyfriend had just dumped me. I hadn't eaten properly the last couple days and neither could I fall asleep. The instant I closed my eyes, that dreadful image filled my mind. Axton between Sabrina’s leg…his tongue lapping at her most intimate areas…and then his gemstone green eyes, with that pale yellow glow, meeting mine over Sabrina’s shoulders.I knew the way I was acting was simply stupid, but I couldn’t seem to get that image out of my head.It should’ve been me! Anika’s P.O.V“Where are we?” I asked, looking at the cabin in front of us.This was just like any other cabins in this mountain that I had come across so far, but somehow, it still looked beautiful, more ornate than most. Maybe because it was two storied? Or maybe because it was set at the very edge of the cliff. The maker of this cabin had made a very bold decision and it had worked out beautifully.“My house.” Gustav gave me a bright smile. “I thought you would like some home-cooked meals rather than restaurant food. You’ve been having takeout almost every day.”“You saw that?” I asked him sheepishly. Of course he knew I was having take out every day, the little police station was right opposite to the diner and from what I had noticed, the middle-aged woman that owned the diner was quiet friendly with him.“I tend to notice interesting things about interesting pe

Anika’s P.O.V“Shit!”I knelt on the ground, gathering the broken shards of glass with trembling fingers. What was going on? How come Gustav and Axton were related…why…when...?My mind was a jumbled mess as I tried and failed to make sense of everything around me.“Don’t touch that!” Gustav’s voice was harsh as I felt him tug on my arms. “You’ll cut yourself.”“No…it’s…” what was I saying? What was I supposed to say?Why the fuck was I so pathetic?“Hey…Anika. Look at me.” Gustav lifted my face to his with his fingers below my chin. “I’m sorry for confusing you. Axton’s P.O.VSabrina tilted her head to one side, making her dark hair slide off her shoulders to reveal the taut mound of her breasts. They were beautiful and supple, a handful; and her nipples were budded into stiff peaks.Trading through the water, I reached her side of the pool and stood in front of her.Lifting up my hands, I placed them on her waist, but Sabrina pushed me back using her legs and got up from the floor. Confused, I frowned at her, waiting to ask what she was doing. But then she made her way to the bed and got into it. And then she called me over with a flick of a finger.Narrowing my eyes, I got out of the water, rose petals sticking to my body as dried off the water before heading to the bed. Getting on it, I covered her body with mine, straddling her hips as I leaned down to place my hands on either side of her head.Sabrina looked at me with wolf gold eyes, sliding her fingers over my hand to rest the

Hello everyone! Saving Alpha Axton had come to an end, but this is just the beginnig of the journey. The sequel, Torn Between Alpha Mates will be out before the end of this year, I promise. But in the meantime, I do want to take a short break from writing werewolf stories. As a writer, it becomes repetative to write about the same topic over and over again. That's why, I'll temporarity be shifting to the Billionaire/CEO and the Badboy genre's to refresh my mind, before I continue with the sequel. Please be patient with me and I hope you understand my dilemma. And a big thank you to everyone who read this book. It's my very first exclusive after being a traditionally published author and I'm very thankful to all of you who made it so far into this journey. Please feel free to leave your honest opinions, so I can be aware of my mistakes in the future and provide you with an even better reading experience. And most of all, thank you Nakuru Murakami! I love

Axton’s P.O.V:I blinked my eyes open, feeling my entire body ache like I had just been hit by a truck.Oh! I was hit…wasn’t I?Sabrina shot me and I jumped in front of the bullet to save Gustav. After the shitty life he had been forced to live thanks to my parents…it was the least I could have done for him.My vision was hazy…dark. And I couldn’t really feel anything at all. Was I really dead?“Axton?” Came the voice of an Angel.I tried to open my mouth, to talk, but it didn’t happen. Nothing was coming out. I couldn’t find words…all I could do was make this low groaning sound that was barely illegible.Suddenly, the lights turned on in the room, bright and harsh and I had to close my eyes shut tightly to escape from its harshness.“Hey,” I inhaled her scent as she came closer…felt the heat of her touch through my clothes

It was Sabrina’s claw mark.“Wakey, wakey little girly!” Sabrina’s voice sounded oddly close, before cold water splashed onto my face, making me gasp out loud, forcing me to open my eyes.“There you are.” Sabrina’s smiling face came into view, as she bent in front to me to be eye level with me. “I thought I would have to wait longer, but you sure are resilient.”Blinking rapidly to get the water out of my eyes, I looked around the room to grasp the situation. Anika’s P.O.V:I paced around the living area, anxious and worried. The entire pack had gone to war today and I couldn’t do anything else but worry.Fin was a part of the recovery team, a team of ‘healers’ as she told me. They were wolves with special powers to speed up the healing of other wolves. It was a special power bestowed upon the wolves by the Moon Goddess and only special wolves had them. Every pack had two to three healers. It was an ability that I was starting to crave.Damnit! If I had the abilities of a wolf, even if not to the fullest, when were they supposed to show up? Why didn’t I feel any different? I remember Gustav telling me that for now, the powers will come in burst, in no particular order. But at this moment, I really wanted to have super-strength or at least have extended claws so I could rip the throat out of that bitch, Sabrina. But my pacing wasn’t helping anyone so I tried

I shook my head, telling her that I was alright. “I’ll get some rest.” I told her, heading to my room. “I just feel tired.”“Okay.” Fin nodded, continuing to unpack the stuff she brought with her. “I’ll call you when dinner’s ready.”“No, I-”The doorbell rang at that moment, making me groan. Who could it be this time? I simply didn’t want to meet or talk to anyone, ever again. Why couldn’t the universe leave me alone?“I’ll get it.” Fin got up from the floor, where she had her overnight bag laid out and headed to the door.I turned to leave for my room regardless, because I was dead tired, but her next words made me stop dead in

Gustav’s P.O.VSabrina’s smile was both cunning and seductive as she folded her hands in front of her chest, her black dress hugging her body like a glove. Her lips were painted a deep red and her makeup was flawless. Everything about her exuded power and strength, except…she didn’t have the scent of an Alpha. She never had.In short, she was just another privileged ‘Alpha’ who got the responsibility of a pack as a ‘hand-me-down’. But that’s where her similarity with Axton ended. Sabrina was a cunning woman, enough to have held her pack together for nearly forty years. But as time passes and new members are added or born, her power keeps weakening. That’s why she wants to mate an Alpha so desperately. She doesn’t mind becoming a Luna, as long as she can secure a future full of fortunes.“I heard you had fun seducing my brother.” I leaned back in my chair, never

Anika’s P.O.V“You have me.” I told him.“Anika?” Axton’s voice felt like a low whisper at the back of my mind as I felt a kind of blood rush to my ears.I couldn’t see anything else, feel anything else but Gustav’s presence right in front of me. his eyes were wide as he looked into mine and for a second…I thought I saw golden lightning zap through them. And that feeling resonated inside my own body as a shiver ran down my spine.“What-?” I blinked in surprise, letting go of his arm as it felt like I was holding onto something red-hot and burning.Gustav broke eye contact to look up at Axton and Tiffany. “Tell the pack to prepare. Also let them know that I’m reinstating Axton into my pack as a soldier from now on. If he wants to get back the respect of the pack, he’ll have to crawl his way to the top. And for now, take him to live in my old house,

Gustav’s P.O.V I turned my gaze towards Axton sharply. From the look on his face, it was clear what was going on at this moment. “Axton?” I tried to keep my voice under control so it wouldn’t startle Anika, but in the end, I couldn’t. It hadn't even been a week when Emilio and Damien had traced down Axton’s scent to the Dawn Valley manor. Not even a week when Anika had been crying in my arms because of his betrayal. What was wrong with my brother? Why did he find it so easy to cheat and sleep around? How could he be manipulated so easily? “She wanted me to be her mate.” Axton said, looking down at the floor with his hands clenched at his sides. I immediately turned to Anika. “You don’t have to listen to this.” “Listen to this?” Anika raised her eyebrows as she gave a humorless laugh. “I found his face between her legs at the dinner table. The dinner that she invited us to, after apparently saving me from some wolf. She

Anika’s P.O.VThere was a long list of regrets in my life where I wish things could have been different or that I could have made better choices. But this time, I was done blaming myself for other people’s fuck ups! If Axton, Gustav and the rest couldn’t own up to their mistakes, I wasn’t blaming myself for them either.I never asked to be involved in this feud. I never asked to be brought into this world. I never asked to fall for either of the brothers and then be used as a tool to play tug of war with the two of them.“You tried to warn me, didn’t you?” I told her now. “But I didn’t listen.”“It’s not that you didn’t listen…none of us ever gave you anything to suspect. The brothers used your innocence against you. And I am so sorry for it.”“Why didn’t you at least try to warn me?” I had asked her th
