A Call to Return

After I had received his Highness'orders, I had no option, I had to obey.

I tried to mind-link Vera but it was non effective. She didn't break her connectivity, right? No way! I told her not to leave.

Quickly, I made my way to the river but she was gone.

"Vera!!!" I yelled her name several times but it was all still and silent.

She wouldn't throw herself into the river… Hoping that she didn't, I gave a keen look at the river trying to figure out if someone was in there, but it was all peaceful. The river was flowing without disturbance.

Where could she be? I tried to link her up again but I couldn't.

Quickly, I left the Riverside and sped down to her room. The door was left ajar and it was empty, there was no sign of Vera. Her maids and guards were not of much help. They all testified that she sent them away two days ago.

Fuck! I should have stayed with her! I should not have left her alone. Walking out of the room dejectedly, I met Targon on the way.
