Chapter 16 - Attempted Escape

Trinity POV

I stare out the hospital window at the black evening sky. Nothing is visible, and it seems to know what I’m thinking and feeling. Instead of dark cloud, it has given me a dark sky.

I need to get out of here. They say it is safer here than any other place, but I don’t trust the Lycans to not do something to me.

Even the older lady from the council today had a look in her eyes, which I couldn’t place. She had the usual sympathy and an air of professionalism, but there was something else. When she talked about me being the only female alpha in over a 100 years, something else lit up in her eyes.

It doesn’t scare me, but it gives me an uneasy feeling which I don’t like.

I wiggle my feet, but they only move a little.
