Hey, Amazing Readers!
I apologize for not uploading a chapter today. Where I live, it is a holiday for our veterans. Even though I am not off work from my full-time job, I also have kids home from school. Writing with kids constantly whining in your ears is not enjoyable and I refuse to let it affect my imagination in writing my chapters.
How did you feel about Chapter 38? Is there anything you would enjoy reading Talia do under the infatuation spell? Will their plan even work?
I'm honestly worried about the sanity of Lili. If she is fated to become a Vargulf currently, at what point does her brain go insane?
Simon's POV"Be right back." Connor whispered as he swiftly disappeared back into the house.I groaned as Talia made her way around the bar to stand in front of me. Her expression filled with confusion as she pursed her lips.Loki:Smile. We have to be convincing.I internally rolled my eyes at my Lykos as Talia leaned her elbow against the marble top."Pretty sure we weren't mates yesterday and were you not in the middle of a setup with Connor and them?" She jerked her chin to Su.Playing dumb, I said. "I don't know what you mean. If you made a witch jealous, would you not try and get out of it as fast as possible?"Talia considered my words and seemed to take the lie.She hooked her hip and rested a hand upon it. "Since we are official mates, can you tell me what pack I am to be Luna of?"Humor flashed in my eyes as I scoffed. "What makes you think I will accept you as my L
Nova's POV Opal gave her best effort in keeping me from hearing Simon head into the office with Talia. Her efforts were failing and I didn't have the heart to tell her to try harder. Lili wasn't speaking still and left me alone to protect us as I listened to our mate's sister gush about finding her mate. The inkling of danger nearing wasn't helping with my focus. Was it because of the full moon presenting itself tomorrow or something else? The pretty red-head in front of me explained she heard a different voice in her head but that the Lykos had otherwise not spoken to her. The only word the Lykos had uttered was "mate" and then she went silent. Poor Opal was confused yet excited. She deserved one-on-one time to help her understand what she was going through but everyone was too focused on Lili. Not that I didn't understand why but Opal was about to risk her life with the change too. The aroma of a horny wolf floated through the vent
Simon's POVMy sister's mate dropped to the floor as though the life had been taken from him. I too, felt part of me drift away as he uttered the two lonely words. I watched as Opal's once vivid red hair brushed the floor without its shine. My twin was gone and I hadn't been by her side to say goodbye.Lil acted before me as she rushed over to Luca. I heard a whine and a whimper leave her before her eyes rested on mine as I dropped to the floor beside her and grasped Opal's hand. Her gaze contained sadness and hatred which she directed at me. More pain coursed through me as my mate shoved her feelings into my face.Lil:You weren't by her side when she needed you the most.Me:She told me to stay by yours!Lil:I wasn't alone... I didn't need you and she did!I winced at my mate yelled at me through the link. Connor was in the link with us and I didn't know if that was on pu
Starting 11/22/21 I will be uploading 3 days a week. As we near the ending of the story, I'd like to take more time in completing it to give the quality I want it to be. I won't lie, I have been stressing myself by working full-time, being a full-time mommy, and writing 5 days a week. As long as my plan to relieve some stress works, I'll do my best to upload longer chapters than usual. Maybe even 2 chapters on each of the days. The new schedule going forward will be Monday/Wednesday/Friday. This way I can also work on the sequel for Susi. Keep an eye out for: Save Me, My Beta, My Mate Andddd........ Dun dun duuuunnnnnnn: Save Me, My Warlock (I can't spill the beans on who this one is about but if you are this far in the story you can probably assume)
The sky was illuminated by the almost full moon as I drove the dead body to the packhouse. Normal people would be creeped out sharing a car with a corpse in the front seat. I wondered how ordinary it must seem to those driving past us. If only they knew what world they were living in.In one more night, the full moon will be here. If only I hadn’t acted out of desperation, I might have had one more day with my sister. Or would I have? I have been so soaked up in Lil and the pack dealings that I’ve neglected my own sister. She may not have said anything, but I could tell we had started to drift apart the moment I became one of the supernatural. It still doesn’t excuse my lack of attention given to her.I parked and threw my sister over my shoulder. There were lights on inside and I didn’t want to draw any unnecessary attention which was hard to do with werewolf ears. Instead of going through the building, I walked around the building. If they hea
Lilith's POV Nova wailed in my head as the feeling of betrayal of our non-mated mate completed the process with someone else. The pain in my chest drummed out the sound of the ground beneath my paws. It was my fault and I had no one else to blame. I released my frustration on him and Connor and in return, I lost a mate. Simon wasn't the one I was truly angry at. It was myself that I found disappointment in. I shouldn't have allowed Simon to stay by my side knowing what Opal was going through. Everything that happened to her was because of me. If I hadn't moved here, she wouldn't have been attacked and now she was dead. The one person I was fighting to gain the trust and friendship of. In the end, I used her just like all the rest. Tears flowed down my furred face going sideways as the wind smacked me. The morning breeze felt amazing until noon sank in with the annoying humidity. I was still expecting to sweat but forgot dogs panted t
The Vargulf that was once my so-called uncle threw his head back and roared viciously. Connor showed no signs of fear and exerted dominance from where he stood. Irritated that the wolf before him did not cower, Tim charged forward. I watched as my mate launched himself onto the beast and latch his jaws onto its exposed shoulder. The black wolf struggled to steady his paws on the beast as it attempted to shake him off. The Vargulf screeched a blood-curdling shrill as his shaking allowed Connor's teeth to rip him open with his weight. Hanging by a slim amount of flesh that had almost ripped completely off, I could hear my mate snarling as he did his best to bring down the monster that was twice his size. Tim slammed a fisted claw into Connor's ribcage resulting in a yelp of pain but he did not release his teeth. Luckily a Vargulf thinks more on the kill than how it will kill which benefitted my mate in his attack. The deranged werewolf glanced at me and I watched as some
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I apologize for not uploading today. There was a lot going on with family and cleaning after yesterday but I will upload tomorrow as a replacement. I still have another event to plan in the morning but I'll have afterward to write. It's almost Christmas time and I couldn't be more excited! It's my favorite holiday and I LOVE making it magical for my children. Oh, and lucky me, I have a birthday party to plan on the 13th too for my soon-to-be 3 year old. I like to call her my Threenager. Talk about attitude!
