"Be right back." Connor whispered as he swiftly disappeared back into the house.
I groaned as Talia made her way around the bar to stand in front of me. Her expression filled with confusion as she pursed her lips.
Loki: Smile. We have to be convincing.
I internally rolled my eyes at my Lykos as Talia leaned her elbow against the marble top.
"Pretty sure we weren't mates yesterday and were you not in the middle of a setup with Connor and them?" She jerked her chin to Su.
Playing dumb, I said. "I don't know what you mean. If you made a witch jealous, would you not try and get out of it as fast as possible?"
Talia considered my words and seemed to take the lie.

Starting 11/22/21 I will be uploading 3 days a week. As we near the ending of the story, I'd like to take more time in completing it to give the quality I want it to be. I won't lie, I have been stressing myself by working full-time, being a full-time mommy, and writing 5 days a week. As long as my plan to relieve some stress works, I'll do my best to upload longer chapters than usual. Maybe even 2 chapters on each of the days. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I apologize for not uploading today. There was a lot going on with family and cleaning after yesterday but I will upload tomorrow as a replacement. I still have another event to plan in the morning but I'll have afterward to write. It's almost Christmas time and I couldn't be more excited! Simon's POV We brought Lil back to Su's home and went straight for our room. Connor did not push me to hand her to him and I could only assume it was because he thought I needed her. He was right. As we get closer to the story's ending, it will be unknown if our main 3 lovebirds will survive. Connor is still on the brink of death... Simon may die if his Lykos dies.... Lilith may die from the spell draining her.... Everyone may die because of Jenny if she survived.... Everything is in Susi’s hands right now. How will she keep the pack under control being just a Beta? If there is a Vargulf alive still, will she be enough to kill it?
