That night, I had a dream. I was standing in a desert with a garden filled with peonies. I remembered the moment I plucked a flower and confessed my love.

[“I love you.”]

The man’s voice faded. His figure blurred, but one thing was sure. I was smiling so happily in front of him.

The memory did not last long as I awoke from my sleep.

“Ahhh,” I clutched my head in my hands. my head ached as if someone had smashed it with a huge rock. But even through the pain, I tried to grasp the fragments of the memories inside my head.

I knew that the man I confessed to wasn’t Alpha Ethan.

My forehead was covered in damp hair as I pushed it back, feeling a cold sweat. With my hands covering my face, I desperately longed to retrieve all my memories as quickly as I could.

As I sat up in bed, I noticed that Alpha Lucas was missing.
