Safe Illness
POV LaylaI woke up in bed the next morning with a headache. I must have fallen asleep on Finn on the couch and he must have put me in bed. I smiled. He's so good to me. I sat up but felt dizzy for a second. I sneezed a couple of times and heard Eve groan at me. I looked over to see her and Hart still cuddled in bed, sleeping. I quietly and slowly got up and walked to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror as I washed my hands and moaned. I looked horrible. My eyes were puffy, my nose was red and my hair was a mess. I quickly brushed my hair out and washed my face. I blew my stuffy nose and checked the mirror again. I still looked bad but maybe no one would notice. I went to the kitchen and started the coffee. Then I started some of the laundry and cleaned up the living room. I switched over the wash to the dryer and cleaned up the kitchen. Safe Getting Ready
POV LaylaI woke the next morning feeling great. I was so grateful that I was better before we had to leave for our big trip. I hopped out of bed and hurried to the bathroom and then the kitchen. Hart and Eve were still snoring in her bed. We were really going to have to look into getting Hart a real bed if he was going to have to stay here much longer. Of course, it didn't seem like either he or Eve minded sharing. I was just glad that Luke had loosened up about having guards sleeping on our couches. POV FinnI sighed with relief when the plane finally touched down. The trip here had been brutal and surprising. I was glad that Jake and Van stayed with me last night because we still had a hard time getting Jake up and out the door on time. Then dealing with Eve, Keri and Hart's massive amount of luggage. POV FinnI woke up the next morning to sunlight streaming in our window and the crashing sounds of the sea. I smiled as I looked down at Layla still sleeping on my chest. She was so beautiful and I could look at her for hours and not get bored. I cuddled her closer and sighed. This was a moment I wanted to live in forever. I hoped that the rest of this vacation goes as well as this. Layla desperately needs this break. So do I. So do all of our friends to be perfectly honest. POV LaylaI got up the next morning, careful not to wake Finn. After visiting the bathroom, I slipped downstairs and decided to make breakfast. POV FinnLayla and I woke up to the sound of thunder the next day."That was loud" she commented as I got up to shut the window before it rained too much in."Let's get up, I want biscuits and gravy." POV LaylaThe next day we decided to go sightseeing. Peter seemed in a better mood and loved every second of visiting the sights of the area which were not that exciting to the rest of us but we humored him. To be honest, it was boring but it got us out of the house and walking around. By the end of the day, we were exhausted. We got drive thru for dinner and everyone went straight to bed when we got back to the house.Everyone slept late and we all met up in the kitchen the next day."I don't want to cook.
