Chapter Nine: The Kiss

I was surprised to learn that he had a younger sister and that his parents were still happily married and living in Florida. He proceeded to tell me that his sister recently got married and moved to Seattle. The way he talked about his family showed that he truly cared about them especially his sister. “You must really miss them?” He looked up at me but you could tell he wasn’t really looking at me. It was as if he was thinking about something from the past or remembering his family. “I do miss them. I try to visit them as often as I can but with my job it’s kind of difficult.” I nodded understanding what he meant.

I continued asking him questions about his sister and parents and was surprised to learn more about him as a person.
