Narrator-

As soon as Dante saw the approaching ladies, he smiled and focused his attention on Cara. When she reached him, he reached out and kissed the back of Cara's hand, while Jason pretended to not be interested in her appearance or presence.

"You look absolutely beautiful." Dante greeted with a compliment.

"Thank you." Cara smiled.

Cindy softly touched Cara's lower back before she brushed past Jason and entered the club.

"Since you look so ravishing this evening, and of course I know you're going to be a rather charming companion tonight, I have only one request." Dante spoke, while hooking his elbow with Cara's.

"And what's that?" Cara wondered.

Jason, still appeared uninterested in the interaction. He stood with his one hand in his pocket, the other scrolling through his phone. He was dressed in all black, with the first two buttons of his shirt unbuttoned.

"That you can't deny me anything." Dante revealed.

Cara's eyes widened just slightly. She chanced a look at Jason, but h

Cara- I don't know when I eventually fell asleep last night. It had to be somewhere between losing my mind by being angry at Jason for what he did and being angry at myself for spending too much time revisiting the kiss in my mind. My dad had barely been underground for a month, and here I was, playing kissy face with the man who practically expressed him to death's door and beyond. Cindy's alarm woke me up, and the first part of my body that reacted to being awake was that jittery organ in my lower abdomen. The kiss was the first thing I remembered. My fingers touched my lips, and zap, my uterus made me aware that a hot, mean, yet still hot male gave me attention the night before. "Amen." I heard Cindy mutter next to me. Maybe I should try praying too. She yawned, I was still covered from head to toe by my blanket. "Morning girly, you awake?" I heard Cindy call. I pulled the blanket off my face. She opened her mouth, I stopped her. "Don't ask, because I won't tell." I warne

She knocked on Jason's door, and as usual waited for his permission before entering his space.Cara walked to the chair and sat down. She was now used to Jason not looking at her when she entered the space. She was also used to him pretending that nothing happened between them, which is why she wasn't surprised when he made no comment on his behavior towards her the night before."Have you confirmed everything for tomorrow morning?" Jason asked, typing away on his laptop.Cara crossed her legs and leaned back in her chair."Yes. The caterers will arrive at 6:00 AM, and Christos's team, including makeup will arrive at 7:30 AM. Miriam promised that the outfits will be delivered exactly at 8:00 AM on the dot. The entertainers will have breakfast on the set starting at 8:30 AM." Narrator-Jason started toward Cara.Cara jumped slightly and began to back away. Her hands lifted towards Jason, as if telling him to keep his distance, while her feet scurried her into one of the walls. Jason was quickly closing the space and Cara's mouth began to speak before she could stop herself."I-I- I take two Advil pills on the first day of my period to avoid cramps. Narrator- The weeks following the photoshoot were uneventful. Cara returned to her routine of playing secretary, and Jason treated her as nothing more than a shadow who can talk. Neither the outspoken beauty, nor the jealous Dom chose to speak of their last close encounter. Jason returned to the club often, even though he never used an entertainer to accompany him in the playrooms, nor did her ever force Cara to join him again. He found that after their last discussion, he began to obsess a little too much about Cara. He hated that the only time he witnessed her smile was when she was with Cindy and Vincent, far away from him. He hated that whenever she looked at him, her eyes were always hard and judgmental. And he hated that he wanted nothing more than to invest time to mold and shape her into his ideal woman. This wish to even reach a common ground with Cara is what scared Jason the most, and urged him to distance himself from her. Cara was right, eventually she would leave, and

Narrator- The tick of the clock hands bounced off the wall of the kindergarten classroom, housing fifteen children, and their two teachers. Crayons colored beyond the lines of their drawing, giggles erupted all over the classroom, as the children completed their final tasks of the day. Cara smiled and lifted her eyes from the folders she was organizing to look out onto the innocent children who found the simplest reasons to smile in this world. Her eyes flashed to the ticking clock and she soon started the mental countdown which led to the ringing of the release bell. Upon hearing the bell, the children cheered and dropped their coloring crayons. They hurried to their personal cubbies to retrieve their backpacks and lunchboxes. "Alright, alright, boys and girls, line up against the wall, Miss Thompson will lead you out. See you guys on Monday." Announced Mrs. Whitey, a short middle aged Caucasian woman with greying red hair, tied in a loose high bun atop her round head. "Have a goo

In the emergency room, he was stabilized, and the doctor ordered a stat CT scan. Cara entered the ER just as they were taking her father away. She was allowed to go to the imaging bay with her father's caretakers, and after the scan was completed, Joe was instantly admitted to the hospital, in the neurology department. Cara now waited for the doctor to come in with the results with a churn of anxiety arousing the pits of her stomach. Her father was sleeping soundly, meanwhile Cara found her heart beating with unexplainable fear. Cara nipped away at the inner lining of her bottom lip and inner cheeks. Her fingers slick with sweat played with one another, meanwhile her right leg bounced uncontrollably. The image of her father's helpless form continued to play in her mind, and as much as she hated it, she c

Narrator- Cara watched with numbing horror the events that unfolded before her eyes. The nurses and doctors rushed into the room. One the nurses pulled a lever under the bed, and the entire bed with her father's frame snapped into a 180-degree line. His body pulsed, while a respiratory technician removed the nasal cannula from his nostrils then moved aside to allow the doctor room to intubate the patient. The tube was in, and the tip of Joe's pink tongue now slightly stuck out from below the tube and rested on his lower lip. The respiratory technician retook his place as he began manually bagging the patient. A loud beeping sounded from the monitor, and Cara's eyes snapped to the screen. The heart rate had decreased significantly. "Patient is bradycardic." One of the nurses announced."Push one of epi, let's start CPR.""Ma'am." Cara suddenly heard in her left ear. Narrator- Cara stared blankly at the person who knocked on her door. Jason looked back with a similar, uninterested gaze. His hands were in his pockets. He wore a simple dress shirt and jeans. His dark hair was gelled and yet fell into it's natural curls and part that hung over his right eyebrow. "Good afternoon." Jason greeted casually. Cara didn't respond. She didn't waste time in figuring out how he knew her home address, he himself said he came by yesterday after her father was taken to the hospital. "Can I come in?" Jason asked, then he reached to his back pocket and pulled out a folded packet of four stapled papers. He waved the folded packet next to his head and added, "I'd like to get down to business as soon as possible." "I just buried my father." Cara said with a croaked tone, though she couldn't ignore the disbelief that exploded in her chest. "And my deepest condolences." Jason replied, placing a hand on his chest. Cara kept her face void of any emotion. If Jason

Narrator- Cara looked at Jason, and Dante did the same, before sending a glance to catch her reaction. While she did her best to keep the distress off her face, Dante was still surprised that Jason agreed in the first place. "Really?" Dante wondered, his tone slightly skeptic. "Yes, while I wasn't interested in selling, if you're willing to consider my asking price, then I'm willing to accommodate you." Jason answered calmly. "Well, that settles that then." Dante smiled brightly while opening his arms, before he stood up. Jason stood up as well, and so did Henry and Cara. "Thank you for hosting us this evening Jason." Dante greeted, shaking Jason's hand. "It was a pleasure." Jason replied, then shook Henry's hand. "And Cara, thank you for receiving us." Dante turned his attention to Cara, who smiled. "Have a good evening." Cara greeted in return, before leading them towards the door."I will call you sometime this week to let you know when I'm coming by. I'll have instruction

Cara- I headed up to the room I shared with Cindy, and found her sitting on the bed with her legs crossed, while she scrolled on her phone. There was a soft smile on her face, which reminded me of what I witnessed in the mall earlier today. Cindy looked up from her phone while I closed the door and walked across to my bed. "Hey girly, everything okay?" She asked me. I nodded, "I guess. I'm gonna need your help tying my hair in a bun. You okay with that?" "Yeah sure. Just let me know when you're ready." She replied, before her phone pinged, bringing her attention back to it's screen. I headed over to my bed, placing down my purse and shopping back, then I walked to the bathroom. I kept the door open but stood in front of the mirror while I started to undo my cornrows. "So who's the cutie from the mall earlier?" I called out from the bathroom. I looked in the mirror to catch Cindy's attention. She looked from her phone for a quick second and asked, "Who?""That guy you hugged fro

Cara- During the car ride, I leaned my head against the window after the conversation died down between us. I tried to not think much on Cindy's words, but a part of me felt ready to use the information I learned as a weapon against Jason. I wanted to go home, he wouldn't let me, but maybe I could make him. If he wanted obedience and submission, then I would talk back more, and be as defiant as possible. I didn't belong in the mansion. Cindy and Vincent were trying their best to make me feel welcomed, but I wanted to be home, far away from the mansion, and all the indecent events that take place within the walls of that place. In my home, I was safe and well away from Jason and all the weird explicit things he implicated in his lifestyle. I wanted to forget everything I saw over the past twenty-four hours. I wanted to be back in my own world, where I was in control, and chose what I wanted to be exposed to. I wanted to hide back in the comfort zone of my old lifestyle and forget th

  • Safe Word: Rosé   Chapter 15

Narrator- Jason sat back in his chair, with his intertwined fingers resting just above his belt buckle. A soft, absentminded smile quirked the corners of his lips, his mind clouded with the echoes of Cara's conversation in the car. So Cara was in fact a good girl... at least untainted in body and pure in the mind. This intrigued Jason more than he would've liked it to, however it did give him the upper hand on how to handle Cara from now on, whenever she crossed the line. The Dom's calculating was cut off, when a swift knock sounded from his office's door. Looking at the wooden barricade, Jason straightened himself, and pulled closer to the desk. "Come in." He invited. The door opened, and in walked Monique, dressed in a workout shorts that could pass for boyshort panties, and a crop top that clearly exposed her underboob. As soon as Monique stepped into the office, Jason's spine stiffened, his blood turning sour in his veins. Jason sighed, not feeling up to entertaining any
