I opened the packet in front of me, I could feel Aria standing behind me. I could see her holding herself together in my peripheral vision. I scratched my neck before patting the seat beside me. Athe alpha in me wanting to take full control of the situation but knowing that I couldn’t push too hard and risk her running or pushing us out of her life again.

“Come sit by me, love, we will go through this together. No matter what this says we are all here and we will get through this.”

She nodded her head and sat on the stool beside me. I leaned toward her and wrapped my right arm around her shoulders and pulled her to me, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

“I’ll do whatever it takes to protect you and Eli. You will never be alone again. I mean you had Lori, but now you have Asher, Linc and myself, not including Asher’s lady Leah, will love you and be here too.”

Aria looked over at me, “What is she like? Is she good to him?”
