The table had been laid out perfectly. The food was exquisite and the cutleries glittered under the influence of the chandelier. They had been eating quietly till Joan broke the silence.“ Ana, how is the food?” she asked with a smile.“ It is very delicious. I love every bit of it “ came the reply from Ana who happened to be Jewel. Jewel had found her way into the house of the second Alpha of the Wyoming pack. With the help of the demon Prince, she had changed her form again. This time,he had made her appear much older. She looked like a woman in her late thirties. Thin and tall with a sharp oval face. Her jaw and cheek bones protruded to give her a serious look. She had so much hair. Her hair was thick, curly and blonde. She had worn a gown that was not so modern. These attributes were given to her to suit the person she claimed to be. She had knocked on this family's gate a night before, Jewel had been drenched in the heavy rain and she looked homeless. Under the sky, gazing at the stars,Jewel laid side by side with Asher. Their hands were interlocked. Asher moved closer to Jewel and kissed her.“ my Luna”he said smiling.“you won't leave me for anything would you?“asked Jewel placing her elbow to the ground to support her weight slightly. She searched his eyes for an assurance. His words would not be enough. She wanted every part of him to demonstrate the love he had for her. She loved him so much and she could not even think of losing him.“ I will never leave you Jewel "said Asher as he placed his palms on her chin caressing it tenderly.“ I love you too much to leave a day without you” he said. Jewel loved to hear things like this. She blushed and laid back on her back.“how do you think our family will be like?“ Asked Jewel looking up at the sky.“ It is going to be a beautiful family. Two wonderful kids too” replied Asher smiling.“ I want three” said Jewel giggling.“whatever you want my Luna " came a reply from Asher. The night was

Chapter 11Micah did not mean to kiss jewel in the manner in which he did. He had lost total control of his whole being. Her innocence, he tears and her voice drove him crazy. He had not felt this way in a very long time. He wished Jewel would not be scared of him. He wanted to start all over. He hoped that she would not change her mind and decide to leave the house. He could not guarantee that he would be able to save Jewel from Joan. He thought of making breakfast for her. He was a good cook and he would prepare something nice for her to eat. When he had finished baking,he took the food to Jewel. When he entered the room,Jewel was still fast a sleep. She looked so peaceful and he was careful enough not as to bother her. He dropped the tray of food and walked out of the room. From Jewel's sleep, she could perceive the sweet aroma of freshly baked banana bread and sweet apple based jam. She opened her eyes and used her nose to trace where the sweet aroma came from. There was a tray jus

Micah had gone out if the house and she was a bit scared of what ever it was that was making the noise but still, there was no one so she went back to the laundry room.“Looking for some one”she heard behind her. Turning back, she saw Jana at the door. She was speechless. Fear and tension griped her. It couldn't be. How could she have killed the four Alphas in a gap of three days. Jewel had beads of sweat appearing on her fore head. Her hands were shaking and her heart was beating at irregular interval.“Jana please " was the only thing she could say. Jewel sat in the dinning room checking her wrist watch at intervals. It was unlike Micah. He never came home this late. She had set the table for two and waited for over three hours before she started eating from her plate. She still had the the thoughts of the demon Prince's visit bothering her. When the demon prince left,he did so wiyh the pendant and the dagger. She was happy that he pardoned her but she also felt grieved that Micah would be taken away from her. Jewel thought she could do something to stop the whole thing but the demon Prince had refused to come to her. Jewel thought about Lucia. She was a witch after all. Perhaps Lucia could be of help to her. Jewel had taken advantage of the fact that Micah was away for some days and went back to new York. Things did not seem to change. It was the same old house that stood on its own down the street. The same old street lights and the same high school she attended Nothing changed at all. Jewel would have wanted to see Asher b

She had more skin and a daring look unlike his Jewel. He turned back to the demon prince and asked "what are you up to?“. He wasn't scared for himself but for Jewel. He did not want any harm to come to her and he was trying to figure out why the demon Prince would make a clone of Jewel. “ how expected of my sister to not tell you about me. She knows that I am prettier than her. Definitely "said Jana as a smile played on her lips. “ Jewel's sister?“asked Micah not directing it to anyone in particular. “you have come to beg for the love of your life. Jewel stood in front of the managers office. He had sent for her for the third time in a week. She was uncertain if she would be able to beg this time. She had been reported for sleeping on duty a lot. Her other cleaning job had not been running smoothly as well. She was not working effectively. Her strength was periodical. Sometimes she could be very lazy and other times she was hyper active. She knocked on the manager's door and he ushered her to come in. “ afternoon sir”said Jewel. “please come in “he said. Mr Daniel was a strict man. He did not tolerate nonchalance from his workers but he had surprisingly made Jewel an exception probably because he knew how she was genuinely trying to struggle for her child. The reports had become too much and now he had no other option but to let her go this time. “Miss Jewel. There has been so much reports lately concerning you. I believe you know what I mean?“ he said.“sir it was a phase. I am better now “ said Jewel. She hoped that somehow i

The alarm bell rang so loudly that it made Jewel jolt from her sleep. Jewel opened her eyes and everything looked the same. There was no minty scent that lasted in Micah's mouth around her and he was not present himself. It could not have been a dream she tried to believe. She ran her hands through the bedsheets with hope of touching Micah or something similar to him but the emptiness of her bed brought much disappointment to her. It couldn't be true she thought to her self. She ran to the mirror in her room. It had quite a poor refractive index and rough edges. She felt embarrassed when ever she looked it but it was what she could afford for the time being with hopes that things would get better. There had been kisses and teeth marks on her neck or so she thought. She raised her hair that had grown weak and lighter coloured over time due to poor nutrition to search with hope for scars but there was non. She broke down in front of the mirror sobbing bitterly.
