ROMANTIC DINNER

Ken had ordered a romantic scented candle-lit dinner with a bottle of Champaign. The hotel staff brought dinner served on a platter plus the Champaign. Since they were hungry from the day's escapades they dag into their meal and went to the seat by the fireside and enjoy the night. They were enjoying each other’s company seated at the coach and before long Tina found herself leaning on Ken’s shoulder. Ken felt it was time to open up and told Tina about his breakup with his ex and had decided he has nothing to do with her and wanted to give their relationship a chance to see where it can lead to. Ken said he was going to wait for Tina until she made up her mind about the relationship.

Tina also explained in detail to Ken how she had met her ex-boyfriend cheating on her so she was still feeling not ready for a relationship. She told Ken what transpired that day.

Tina had just started her shift at work, today she was under the weather, she had a terrible headache, flu and her body felt weak. It was just after the peak season in her place of work at least the hotel visitors were slowing down. When it was peak season she was very busy and sometimes she was forced to work for more than 12 hours a day and even spend the evening in the hotel room meant for night shift staff since it would be late to go home. There was a special room for staff to sleep if they were working late in the evening. She worked as a hotel receptionist in a five-star hotel. Her bosses appreciated her work because she was hospitable to her clients and the client's comments in the review were also praising her for her dedication to her work. Due to her kind nature, more clients turned up because they were referred by other happy clients. Tina thought her boyfriend Sam was “very considerate and never complained even when she worked late hours. They have been together for about two years but since most of the time Tina was working overtime they could meet rarely. Tina was living with her best friend Lily sharing an apartment for more than four years they started living together after college. Lily graduated one year before Tina but they were always in contact so when Tina graduated Lily invited her to join her and share the apartment. Lily came from wealthy family background and was gifted the apartment at the age of twenty-one years by her parents.

Tina practically grew up with Lily and she was offered to join her in the apartment. Tina insisted on paying half the rent but Lily declined and told her she can use the cash to pay for her master’s degree in hospitality it was a gift to her because she knew Tina needed it. Tina was really happy to have such a kind and considerate friend and saw Lily more like a sister than a friend.

 She felt lonely and assisted her “sister” Tina since she needed to pay school fees for her master’s degree. She had previously gotten a scholarship for her bachelor's degree and high school because she was a performing student.  Lily who was the only kid in her family loved Tina like a sister.

Lily’s parents had come to regard Tina as one of their own.  All holidays thanksgiving and Christmas were spent by both girls at Lily’s home Lily’s parents could not go on holiday without the company of both girls. They used to refer to them as our kids. Even friends and neighbors were used to the idea that they had two girls. The only difference was their hair color. Tina was brunette and Lily was blonde.  Tina had lost both her parents at the age of seventeen years and the uncle and his family took over her parents’ house and property when they joined Tina they were not kind to her. She was mistreated by her uncle’s family and always wished her parents were alive. They took the insurance money since they were the next of kin and never treated Tina like their niece but as a slave.

They used to mistreat her, she was the one doing all the manual jobs at home and the cousins could not help but scold her. She felt so alone especially at her late parents’ home so luckily for her she had finished school and went to college. Her parents had set a scholarship fund for her college degree which she could access at the age of eighteen years. Once the family lawyer noticed how greedy the uncle and his wife were and mean Tina he did not disclose the fund. In school, most girls bullied her since they were friends of her cousins.

Luckily enough Lily came to join Tina’s school and most students especially the senior girls bullied her but Lily, since she knew what is to be treated unfairly, came to her rescue. She confronted the bullies from that time Tina and Lily became inseparable buddies. Tina was the sweet girl, while Lilly was the protector. Their differences made them closer. The only thing they never agreed on was Tina’s cheating boyfriend Sam. Lily had caught him in clubs with girls in compromising situations in social places especially in pubs and nightclubs with several girls but did not want to break her friends Lily’s heart. But Lily always told Tina that her boyfriend Sam was a loser and a prayer. Tina never understood why Lily hated Sam so much until the day she caught him with his pants down.

Lily never understood why Tina always looked down on Sam until the fateful day she was feeling sick. Since she had been working overtime at her place of work for quite some time. Initially, she thought she was feeling weak due to exhaustion but when all her joints felt weak and had a mild headache she could not work anymore and asked for permission to see a doctor. Her boss gave her a week off duty and a complimentary ticket for a holiday for one week all expenses paid for. He said that Tina deserved a break since she was one of the most hard-working and selfless employees.

 She was happy but had to visit the doctor first. She was taken to the hospital by the company driver who waited for her to be treated and dropped her home. The doctor also recommended that she takes one week off duty from work since she was both sick with malaria and also exhausted from work.  On their way home she remembered that she had left some clothes and shoes, she needed to wear on the trip at Sam’s apartment. Since she had his spare key she told the driver to drop her off and wait for her to pick something, little did she know she would get the shock of her life? Tina was assuming that Sam had left the town since he had called telling her he will travel for a week job related outside the town one of the many trips he had been taking lately. so Tina only wanted to pick up her clothes that were at Sam’s apartment for her trip.  After all, she needed was a break and some peace and tranquility that she would get during the holiday. One thing she was happy about since she was on medication Lilly would not pull her to go clubbing.

She opened the door with her key and got into the sitting room. The house was a mess but that was Sam’s character.  There were leftover pizza slices and soda with two glasses of wine and on close examination one glass had lipstick marks.

Tina was disturbed but she cleared the table and threw the leftovers in the trash.  She knew Sam was a bit reckless that’s why she assisted. She then took the stairs to the bedroom where she had some moans.  She started wondering who could be hurt in the house or if there was an intruder or she started wondering how Sammy could be so careless to live a porn movie on in his bedroom. He loved watching blue tapes. She walked quickly into the bedroom where the noises were coming from to investigate.  The shock of her life seeing Sam naked and having sex in his bed with another woman was unexplainable. She got shocked screamed in dismay and said “sorry for disturbing you, please continue fucking” she banged the door and ran down the stairs to the door crying. The couple who were caught with their pants down were shocked since Tina knew the lady with Sam as his colleague only she had been introduced once to “his workmate”.

Tears started streaming in Lily’s eyes and when she went back the driver was terrified and asked Lilly what the problem was but Lily pleaded with him to drop her at her house quickly. The driver did not have to be told twice he knew Tina might have caught her boyfriend with his pants down since he had a reputation of being a womanizer. She cried her tears the whole journey to her house. She entered the room weeping and Tina was shocked to see her friend so devastated. She had forgotten to carry her bags and medicine so the driver dropped them off. When Lilly asked him what happened he explained that Tina went to pick up something from her boyfriend’s house and when she came out she was crying. There’s something she saw and the driver guessed that it was her boyfriend cheating on her since she has been cursing him on the way home.

Sam called her to apologize but it was too much for Tina to swallow. First, she had seen someone texting late at night when they were together but he apologized and Tina forgive him. There was a colleague at work the lady was lost and moved about with everyone and came to brag to Tina that she was also dating Sam but when Tina confronted him he denied it. Then her friend had gone out one weekend with some friends and met Sam hanging out in a club with some ladies and they were making out in the club. Lily was annoyed and went to confront him he apologized and promised it won’t happen again only for Lily to find him once again with the same girl.   This time she had warned Tina who decided to forgive Sam because he apologized. Of late Sam had started to disappear mysteriously and attending many meetings “at work” and also going for many “business trips” and when Tina called his phone was always out of reach. 

This made Tina suspicious and when he said he had gone for a trip she wanted to go to his apartment pick up the clothes she had left there and give herself to sort out the issue if they would continue being friends or break off the relationship. Little did she know she was to get the shock of her life finding Sam with a woman in bed. It hurt but she was glad since she had a good reason for the breakup and it happened earlier before they moved on with a toxic relationship. When Tina caught Sam with another woman in bed she felt so hurt that she broke up with Sam and swore she is never getting into another relationship.

When she finished narrating the story she was sobbing and Ken had to console her. Ken felt very protective and didn’t want to see her hurt or shed an extra tear. She could not control her emotions and it’s like for the first time in her life she felt she could share her burden with someone else except Lilly without a worry in the world. Ken gave her the security and comfort that she had missed since her parents passed away. Ken assured her he was there for her as a friend or confidant and she could feel free to talk to her anytime. Please, don't cry baby, he is an ass and doesn't deserve you, do you want me to confront him?", please no I don't want you to be involved, I broke up with him and Lily called him and blasted him, thanks for your care.

For a while Tina could open up to someone without hesitating, they were not very close with her ex-boyfriend and he was too busy to get the time and chat with her or so she thought. Ken and Tina talked most of the night and then they started kissing and romancing and one thing led to another and they had the most erotic and romantic night together.
