CHAPTER NINETEEN

“Mom, it’s been an hour and both of them haven't arrived,” Kayla complained. As they sat in the Henderson Hotel restaurant free of guests. Mrs. Henderson had instructed the staff to do so.  

“Patients Kayla. Today it’s important,” Mrs. Henderson said as she sipped her wine.

“Why is this even necessary, anyway?” Kayla asked.

Mrs. Henderson took a deep breath.

“It is important because Mrs. Miller isn’t an easy person to get along with. I want to show Emily that she’s in way over her head and at the same time get you on the good side of your future mother-in-law and kill two birds with one stone,” Mrs. Henderson replied.
