Ibukun walked into the seating room and everyone turned to her. Tosinmile sighed as soon as she saw Ibukun tear-stained face. She stood up and walked towards her while her parents stared at her.

“What happened?” Tosinmile asked as Ibukun played with her fingers. She turned to her parents and Tosinmile as a tear slid down her cheeks.

“She has one week left” Ibukun replied and Mrs Ola-Amuda frowned a little.

“Who is she?” Tosinmile asked.

“Lashe’s grandmother. She’s the last family member he has left” Ibukun replied and Tosinmile’s hands went to her mouth immediately. Mr and Mrs Ola-Amuda looked at in each other in shock.

“What’s he gonna do now?” Ibukun cried as her mom pulled her in for a hug.

“Why does he keep losing people he loves so much?” Ibukun asked as more tears ran down her cheeks.
