Chapter 82

AMELIA

My heart was pounding so loudly in my chest that I could barely hear the footsteps approaching. Panic set in as I realized that I was still inside the trunk of Alexander's car, and he was getting closer. I held my breath, hoping that he wouldn't hear me.

As the footsteps grew louder, my fear only intensified. I had never felt so helpless in my life. I could hear the sound of the car keys jingling as he unlocked the car, and I braced myself for the worst.

I waited for a moment, trying to calm myself down and regulate my breathing. The thought of being caught in Alexander's trunk was enough to send shivers down my spine. I took a deep breath and slowly released it, trying to dispel my fear.

Finally, I opened the trunk slowly, peering out to make sure that the coast was clear. I saw no one around, no sign of Alexander or anyone else for that matter. Still, I was cautious, making sure to be as quiet as possible as I climbed out of the trunk.
