One’s Pov

I sighed deeply as I walked into the bathroom to have a quick bath. This was an opportunity that I’ve awaited all my life and it still seemed like a dream. Ever since Alexander held me hostage, I never thought or imagined that I would see what outside looked like again.

“How long has it been…Cassie?” I asked myself as I looked into the mirror, with a big smile on my face.

Cassie was my real name and most times, I had to call it out loud, to remind myself that my name was not One. No one in the mansion ever called me by my real name and I wasn’t quite concerned about that.
