Chapter 1

“Listen up everyone. Can I get you guys' attention please? Thank you," my boyfriend Mike said aloud, getting everyone's attention including mine and that of my best friend Gloria's.

“What is he doing?" I asked my best friend but she shrugged.

“I don't know."

I took my attention back to him as he took center stage amongst the gathering of his friends and family. It was actually his dad's birthday and there were a lot of people present at the garden of his compound which was the location.

I really don't know what he was up to but my best guess is that he wanted to make a toast to his father, however he had already done that and gave him his gift- an expensive Rolex wrist watch.

Does he have another gift to give his dad?? Well I can't really bet against that knowing how much he loves both his parents.

With everyone's attention on him he flashed me a loving smile, his white teeth shining like the stars up in the sky above us, melting my heart as I blushed. I must confess he looks so handsome in his black tux, it complimented his height and physique as he is a tall and slender man, standing at 6 ft 2 plus he packs a heavy load in-between his legs and knows how to make use of it. Yeah, I know I am naughty but it's not as if I am a slut. I do enjoy hot sex however only with my boyfriend.

Taking his attention away from me to his father Mike's demeanor changed, as he wore a serious and respectful expression.

“I love you dad and I wish you many years of endless happiness along with you mom," he smiled at his parents who smiled back at him.

“But please permit me to use this opportunity to talk about somebody else, a very special person that came into my life and changed me completely," he and his father gave him a nod of approval.

I became curious to know who he wanted to talk about.

“Thank you father," Mike said then turned his attention to me, that charming smile returning to his face as he stared at me.

“Ella, I wake up every morning thanking God that I have you in my life," he started and I could feel my heart race in excitement and nervousness.

I am the very special person he was talking about?  I don't see myself as being special but at this moment I was feeling really special. More special than the late queen of England. God bless her soul.

He continued speaking. “I have never known true happiness or true love until I met you and now just seeing your face is enough to brighten my day and make my life meaningful. All I want to do is make you smile, all I want to do is make you happy because you are my happiness.." His words were making me blush like a little child and I could feel the excitement down to the pit of my stomach.

“..I love you Ella and I want to spend the rest of my life loving you, if you would allow me too. I promise not to hurt but cherish and protect you always," he said walking slowly towards me and there was this fluttering feeling in my heart that made me feel like I was about to explode.

His next action however made my head spin in a wheel of excitement and I felt a legion of butterflies dancing inside my stomach as he went down on one knee, bringing out a ring from his jacket.

“Ella Rae, will you do me the great honor of being my wife?" He asked, staring directly into my eyes with pleading eyes full of love and care.

I never imagined I would get proposed tonight or this soon. We have only been dating for 6 months now but it's been the best days of my life. I have no doubt that he is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. He treats me like a princess and I feel like the most special person in the world when I am with him. What more can a girl ask for?

I love him and would love to be his wife, this is what I wanted to say but find myself speechless, the words being the most difficult task to say and I could see the tortured and scared look on his face, perhaps thinking I wanted to reject him.

The anxiety level of the atmosphere was high as his friends and family were also waiting for my reply and I took my eyes to my best friend, Gloria who was smiling reassuringly to me and that made me a lot composed and relaxed.

Taking a deep breath. “I will. I will be your wife Mike James," I said and a happy, relieved smile spread across his face as he slid the beautiful, sparkling diamond ring into my finger.

“Thank you so much. I love you pumpkin," he embraced me before planting his wet lips on mine, giving me a passionate kiss and the crowd cheered us on, the atmosphere around us filled with love and laughter.

“I love you too," I said sincerely and we kissed once more..

“Congratulations," my best friend Gloria said as she embraced me.

“Wow it looks so pretty," she said afterwards, taking a look at the ring in my finger and I let her feel it.

“It must be worth a fortune.  I am so happy for you," she said, embracing me once again and I felt so happy.

“Thank you," I blushed, feeling like a princess.

I really don't care if the ring was expensive or not. It could be cheap plastic and I would still feel this way because I am genuinely happy to be with him, for him and not because of any material things he has to offer me. He loves me genuinely and I also do love him…

One by one everyone at the party came to congratulate me and my boyfriend_ I mean fiance. It's so nice to say it and I could feel their sincere love and appreciation for me. His parents were the last to congratulate us both and they gave us their blessings with his mom already planning for the wedding and picking a date.

It was all just so cute and I couldn't stop smiling.

Honestly I have the best life. There is nothing else I could wish for. I have everything I want...

I couldn't get my eyes off my fingers, especially the one that had the beautiful ring on.

“You like it?" Mike asked as he approached Gloria and I after seeing off his family and friends.

“It's beautiful," I stated and he smiled faintly before staring me deep in the eyes.

“But not nearly as beautiful as you," he said and his words made my cheeks turn pink.

“Thank you. Thank you for always making me feel special," I said and he smiled.

“It's my pleasure and don't forget you are special with or without me," he said softly.

He always has the sweetest things to say and I was about to kiss him when my best friend started coughing but I smiled knowing fully well she was faking it.

“I guess I will be leaving you two love birds alone. Have fun but not too much. If you know what I mean," she said and I smiled silly.

“Take care and thank you," Mike said to her and she smiled at him.

“Bye. I love you," I said my farewell embracing her.

“Finally we are all alone," Mike said when Gloria was gone and there was this hunger in his eyes.

I chuckled. “What are you thinking?" I said even though I knew exactly what he was thinking.

He drew closer to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, his palms and fingers spreading across my soft ass. “Well I am thinking why don't you follow me up to my room so I can show you a new magic trick I learnt," he said with a naughty smile.

“Magic trick, really?" 

“Yes, magic tricks," he licked his lips, arching his brows which caused me to chuckle.

“Alright then, let's go," I said, already getting excited for what he has in store for me.

“Ladies first," he said, gesturing to the stairs.

“Ain't you such a gentleman," I teased walking ahead of him, climbing the stairs.

He followed me from behind, holding onto my waist and planting kisses behind my neck, making me chuckle and also causing me to get excited.
