ACCALIA'S POV

My hands were trembling slightly as I reached for the light switch on my desk, switching it on and flooding my room with bright, yellow light. I took a few steps backwards, my breathing was coming out ragged.

I turned around, trying to take my mind off of Don. My mind began wondering why he hadn't come back upstairs for me. I wondered who he was talking to and what he was talking about.

Then I heard the sound of the door knob being turned, it echoed loudly throughout the silent house. My breath caught in my throat, I slowly stepped backward until my back pressed against the wall.

A loud creak resounded as the door swung open, it hit the wall causing a loud thud.

I saw Don standing in the doorway, I averted my gaze and cleared my throat, hoping that he wouldn't notice the beads of sweat forming along my hairline. But he did and he smirked lightly. "Pumpkin," he drawled, his voice sending a shiver down my spine.
