CHAPTER TWO

Isabelle watched in shock as Violetta looked at Blake lovingly. All her life was a lie. She got betrayed by her friend too.

Her heart. Her soul. Her entire body seemed to not be able to digest Blake's words.

She held her towel close to her chest and bowed her head in defeat.

She was just too sad to cry or utter any words right now. Too tired to stand up and ask the moon goddess if she was dreaming right now.

Please wake me up," Isabelle muttered with a shaky voice while her lips quivered in shock.

“Isabelle will be stripped of her title and will be given the best punishment for disgracing not only me but also the late Alpha and Luna."

Blake's words cut through her flesh, cut through her heart in a slithering motion. It felt as if her heart would be ripped out of her body as her lips parted, but not a single word escaped from her lips.

Her wolf was hurt. She was heartbroken too because she had missed the signals.

“Serve her right."

“I'm disappointed with her."

A table was brought forward in front of Isabelle.

“She cannot bear the mark anymore," Blake added with an expressionless face.

“No! You can't do this to me, Blake." Blake turned deaf ears to Isabella cry.

She tried to break free from the guard's hold but they held her in place and pressed her against the table.

Tears pooled in her eyes. A hot iron was brought forward. The mark has been passed down from generation to generation.

This was the only thing that defined her as the heir, but Blake was going to get it removed from her back.

Isabelle screamed in pain when the hot iron was pressed into her back. A jolt of electricity went down her spine to settle at her back.

Her screams echo through the walls of the castle.

She has been stripped of her title and everything else.

What was now left for her to do?

“The man who partakes in the treachery act will be thrown in the dungeon while I discuss his judgment. Take her out of here," Blake declared with an authoritative voice.

Isabelle was dragged away towards the dungeon. All the while, she tried not to black out because of the pain.

She steeled herself as she pressed her lips tighter but her throat hurt.

It hurts so much.

She got dragged away and the crowd dispersed.

A cold bucket of water was poured on Isabelle's face and she fluttered her eyelids open. She had blacked out on the way.

“You are awake, Luna," the voice said.

Isabelle raised her head. She knew who this voice belonged to.

She never for once thought she would hear this voice and it would infuriate her like this.

Isabelle managed to stand up. Her leg wobbled as she walked towards the iron door of the dungeon.

“Since when have you been planning this, Blake? Tell me this is not true." Isabelle's voice came out as a whisper, which she didn't like.

She hated being weak, and this was why she tried hard to train herself.

“I know you are shocked but that is understandable. Wear this." Blake tossed a cloth inside the jail room.

”Violetta was kind of sad to see you in just a towel. Wear this dress, you will be sold to an Alpha as a way to bring peace to the Moon Cave Pack."

“Was this your plan all along? Did you set me up just to take over my parent pack? You will pay for this, Blake. Mark my words!"

“Let's see if you will still be ranting by the time you get out of here. No one will know you as Luna there because you will be sold as a slave to the pack, Isabelle. I thought you were smart but you are not."

“I will make you pay Blake. I will make sure you pay for causing me so much pain and—"

The jail door was unlocked and Blake stepped inside. He caught Isabelle's chin and pushed her to the wall.

“I know you have a sharp tongue. Shall I rip them out for you?" Blake sneered.

He grabbed Isabelle's buttocks and squeezed them, eliciting a negative reaction from her because she nodded Blake on his forehead.

“Ouch, that hurts," Blake said before slapping Isabelle.

“Thank your stars that the car is already here to take you out. If not, I would have fucked you right here in the dungeon."

Isabelle wanted to hit him again but she stopped. She was sure Blake could do that right here if he wanted, though she was still a virgin; she wasn't planning to have herself offered to Blake.

“Take her out of the dungeon if she is not willing to wear the dress," Blake said, facing the guards.

“Get her safely to the Alpha pack. If possible, chained both her legs and hand." Blake gave the order and walked out of the dungeon without saying a word.

Isabelle wore the dress, ignoring the wound on her back. She zipped the zipper up.

Her legs were chained by their guards. Isabelle walked out of the dungeon while the guards dragged the chain to the floor.

The maid stopped what they were doing to take a look at Isabelle while they whispered among themselves.

“She is getting sold out to an alpha as a slave." One of the maids said but Isabelle heard it. She has always been blessed with good hearing abilities.

“I heard she will be offered to the man who killed her parents!"

“You mean Gabriel Phoenix? That's cruel for her!"

Thud!

Isabelle's heart stopped in her chest. Her eyebrows raised, and her pupils dilated in confusion.

She stopped and slowly turned her head in the maid's direction.

“What... What did you just say?" Isabelle asked in denial, not sure if she had heard them right.

”Move forward," one of the guards said. He pushed Isabelle forward while the maid watched her in sadness.

This can't be true!

Isabelle was sure her parents were murdered by Gabriel Phoenix, the ruthless and most fearful Alpha in the whole realm of supernatural beings.

Though no one could prove that he is the one behind Moon Cave Alpha and Luna's deaths, Isabelle has not for once forgotten this man.

And now, she will be getting sold to her pack enemy!

She wanted to kill herself. She just wants the ground to open up and swallow her whole.

The cold, fresh air assaulted Isabelle's body. Goosebumps were dotted on her skin.

A beautiful black car was pushed open from the inside and Isabelle was pushed inside the car.

She didn't dare look at her side to know someone was sitting beside her.

“Why chain her?" He suddenly asked, and Isabelle's head subconsciously raised to look at the man beside her.

When she saw him, her breath ceased in her throat.
