Two

With the sheets modestly covering my chest, I gazed at my discarded lacy underwear strewn across the floor. Clutching the sheets tightly, I absorbed the early morning sunlight filtering through the curtain blinds.

“Here,” a masculine voice shattered the silence, compelling me to look at a man dressing in shorts, a selfsatisfied smile on his face. He gestured toward a wad of cash on the bed. In his late thirties, his lustful gaze left me silently cursing.

“That’s your tip,” he added. Approaching, I reached out to take it, but he halted my hand just an inch away. “What’s your name?” he inquired, and I swallowed nervously.

“I’m not permitted to say,” I replied. His grip on my hand tightened, a frown settling on his face. Despite my wince of pain, he paid no heed, his hold growing even tighter.

“Now, that’s not how to treat a regular customer.” He replied while forcing a smile. “Do you want me to tell the Alpha how rude you are?” he asked and I swallowed as I shook my head.

“No, please.” I pleaded and he smiled while urging me to speak. “My name is Isabella.”

“Now, was that hard?” he asked and let go of my hand, which I reflectively withdrew. There were marks around my wrist where he held me. “You’ve just found yourself a regular.” He added and walked out of the room.

I buried my face into my palms and allowed the tears that had welled up in my eyes, began to fall. It’s been two years since I was sold by my aunt to the Alpha of the Bloodhound pack to become his sales whore.

He was violent and hot-tempered, using me along with other girls for money. His Luna wasn’t an exception as she was an Omega and he hated her. I could tell she disgusted him, by the way he would look at her.

Though I was an Omega, I was his favorite. Yes, he did not like me as well but I made the most earning for him. His clients would pick me anyway, anytime, to let out stress. Maybe it was because of my looks or body but I was pleased either way.

To be honest, being used as a property disgusted me to the core and the fact that I was sold for my body was sickening. I never enjoyed any second of it but it was all I could do to survive.

To become a rogue wolf, meant you were pack less and it was every wolf’s greatest fear. Being a rogue only makes you vulnerable as you could be hunted or used by other rogue wolves. I would rather be used by the Alpha and have a roof over my head than become a Rogue.

A soft knock landed on the door and wiping the mascara that ran down my face ruining my makeup, I watched as the Alpha’s beta walked into the room. He had a frown on his face as soon as he noticed the tears on my face.

He averted his gaze and stared at the bundle of cash on the bed. Moving towards it, he picked it up and nodded.

“Good job. At this rate, you might be able to buy your freedom.” He said with a smile and turned to leave before he halted. “Prepare yourself for tonight… we are having more clients and I will need you on your best behavior. The Alpha will be present to make sure none of you ruins it for him. A car will come to pick you up soon.” He said in disgust before walking out, shutting the door behind him.

My legs were throbbing from the pain and as I slipped out of the blanket, I headed for the bathroom to wash up. As soon as I was done, I selected a new dress that had been laid out for me. I walked out of the room and headed for the Laundry.

Since we were sold to him to become his whores, we were given more benefits than omegas who settled maids. We were allowed to wear comfortable clothes and given comfortable rooms. According to the Alpha, his clients would be annoyed if their whore for the night was all ugly looking.

Soon I arrived at the Laundry room but was surprised to see that I wasn’t the only one there. There were six other Omegas there and from their dresses, I knew at once that they were sex workers too. Their eyes glared at me with resentment and as I approached them, hell was immediately let loose.

“Bitch!” One of the Omegas, Vera, screamed into my face as she grabbed a handful of my hair but before I could wince out in pain, two slaps landed on my cheeks.

My eyes were teary and though I wanted to end the torture, I couldn’t. Her eyes were filled with anger as she yanked harder.

“Please, I did nothing wrong,” I said in return but she paid deaf ears.

“You think you are above all of us because you are more paid than us? Is that why you had to steal my client from me?” another asked and another slap landed on my face.

My cheeks throbbed from the stinging slaps, and tears welled up in my eyes once more. The vulnerability that came with being weak made me an easy target for bullying. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time my colleagues had subjected me to such torment. As the Alpha’s highest-paid companion, I somewhat became his favorite, and it had evoked jealousy among the others.

Maybe it was due to my appearance or my unwavering determination to secure my freedom at any cost, but I found no solace in this life. The lecherous stares, like hungry wolves eyeing their prey, disgusted me, but there was nothing I could do than to comply.

“Excuse me…” Vera interrupted my thoughts, snatching one of my dresses from the floor. “Did you plan to wear this?” she inquired, proceeding to tear the fabric with her bare hands. My pleas fell on deaf ears as she moved to the next dress, repeating the destructive act.

Her cohorts cheered her on, some seizing the opportunity to exact their revenge. Soon, the torn fabric lay scattered across the ground. Vera, leaning in, issued a final warning, “This will be my last warning to you, tonight… I don’t care how you do it, but make sure you don’t provoke me, or you’ll regret it,” she threatened, pressing a piece of gum from her mouth onto my hair.

Later that day, all seven of us Omegas were summoned before the Alpha. As we stood in formation, he sat, scrutinizing each of us with cold, impassive eyes that mirrored his beta’s. His gaze shifted to his Mate, who stood among us, and my heart ached for her.

She appeared betrayed and wounded, and the reason was clear. Rumors circulated that Alpha Cyrus would, in the past, offer his Luna to visitors for the night, granting them free will to do with her as they wished.

Initially, I had dismissed it as mere gossip, but observing the Luna’s frequent presence among us, the pieces fell into place. Furthermore, being an Omega, like the rest of us, she was subject to his disdain.

“Tonight, we’ll be hosting eight clients, but unlike before, they are not to be provoked,” he stated, clearing his throat before continuing. “I’ll need all of you on your best behavior. As always, 10% of the profits will be given to you while those who earn more will get 60% of the profit. You may leave, and remember, do not screw this up,” he warned. With a nod, everyone began to disperse.

I lingered for a moment, my gaze fixed on the Alpha. I couldn’t help but ponder how someone could be so heartless. I questioned whether he harbored any emotions or possessed a heart, or if he was merely an empty shell devoid of any humanity. Just as I turned to leave, his voice cut through the silence.

“Isabelle,” he called, causing me to freeze in my tracks. I heard him rise from the chair behind me, and as I turned back, our eyes locked. “I’ve observed your desperation to gain your freedom, and I must say, I’m impressed. However, don’t entertain the idea that you’ll slip through my grasp tonight. I’ve heard about your previous client, and I’m willing to let it slide. Don’t mess this up,” he warned, though his tone made it clear that it was a threat.
