I could barely breathe, holding my stomach in pain as I felt his betrayal all over again, as if it was that fated night.

The mark on my neck stung as I managed to drag myself to the bathroom, looking at my now irritated skin. I hissed as another sickening wave nearly brought me to my knees.

Felling sick and sore; unable to manage it anymore, I blacked out on the bathroom tile; only the glimpse of the pregnancy test kit I had taken earlier held my gaze until I fell into blackness hearing servants trying to break down the door to the bathroom I was in.

"Millie?" I heard my soon-to-be ex-husband say to me. I looked at his tall figure sitting behind his desk, looking at me with his amber-colored eyes, showing he had both just fed on blood, thinking I had no idea of his betrayal.

Due to some findings, I had managed to find out that he had used Faye repealing magic. However, this did not keep me fully out, as I was a half-ling, half-Faye, and half-human. The human part of me had felt everything he did to me with the woman who was standing next to him, posing as his secretary.

"I came here to discuss why I found divorce papers on your side of the bed." I said holding up the papers in my hand.

The woman next to him, who I came to know as Gracie, looked shocked, her hazel eyes wide as she looked at Luis. Luis only smiled softly at me, though he did not know I had already come prepared.

"Millie, I can explain if you sit down please." Luis said to me softly.

I held the divorce documents over my swollen stomach. To my surprise and happiness, I had fallen pregnant two weeks before Luis's betrayal with Gracie.

"I would rather not. Can we get on with this?" I asked.

Luis seemed shocked; I smiled as I sat and put the signed contract on his desk with a few added measures. I saw him pick it up and brush a hand through his wavy blonde hair as he thumbed through the pages, stopping where I had put my own paperwork.

"You added conditions?" Luis asked, his amber eyes slowly turning back to pale blue. I snickered at his audacity as I gripped my purse smiling.

"I do have lawyers on retainer due to our first arrangement, remember Luis?" I said coldly; I barely looked at him as he flipped through the paperwork. My lawyer, Mr. Adda and Mr. Cenric wrote this a month ago in secret as they were my personal lawyers from my family's Faye Grove.

I looked over to Gracie who seemed to be breaking out in a cold sweat. I eyed her down as she rushed toward Luis's side.

"Lord-Alpha Starlyn, I can take those to your lawyers this afternoon." Gracie said, as she fiddled with her button-up blouse, trying to seem innocent.

I chuckled at them, making them look at me. I looked at the woman my husband had brought in, saying she was a rescue from Jasmine Fields Colony. The Colony had been ripped to shreds by hunters and black market killers who used vampire venom and fangs to make sales. I let my husband bring her as I already knew that it must be the woman he found time to cheat on me with despite needing to perform FEMA relief with Eddy, his beta.

Eddy had been distant since they brought home the five survivors, refusing to talk with me hurting me more as once we had been close, lurking near the warrior cabins off sight, or going to train with our Gamma Rory at Lord Oskar's manor.

I noticed Luis glaring at me with his pale eyes, waiting for me to start the conversation again as usual, though instead, I chuckled again at his audacity, thinking I was going to be the one to mend this for him. Gracie moved toward the papers, her eyes looking up at me with fear and confusion as she opened her mouth to speak in her sweet voice laced with a fake valley accent, yet my chosen mate refused to see through this as I listened to her talk.

"Is something funny, Lady-Luna Starlyn?" asked Gracie, who was always trying to appear to Luis. She was doing her best to soothe things. However, when she arrived and rested, she made it clear that she and my chosen mate were fated mates. I had kept my cool, sending out my assistant and dear friend Serena to look into it, of course, Gracie was not lying to my disappointment, though this time I decided to call her out finally along with my chosen mate.

"Miss. Lakely? Now, why would I let my husband's mistress take our divorce filings to the lawyers? No, I will take them myself when I finish packing today." I said bluntly, tired of the charade.

Growls erupted from Luis as he stood up, slamming the paperwork on the table.

"Are you accusing me of something, Millicent?!" Luis yelled, yet I barely blinked now at these antics these days.

Luis had always had a temper, and I was curious to see what he would do, knowing Eddie was not coming to keep him calm and help him save his reputation.

I smirked and narrowed my eyes at him.

"Accuse? I would never, though good thing you never saw me to set up security cameras around the manor." I spat back at him.

Revealing this to him caused the color to drain from Luis's face.

"What were-cat got your tongue now?" I asked and sighed to Gracie, examining both of them.

"Do not worry dear, as soon as he signs those papers and our lawyers settle this. You can have him; I do not want a cheater as a husband or a chosen mate." I informed Gracie, who seemed surprised and stunned at my display. I smirked and dug into my purse, and put a card on Luis's large desk.

"You can contact me through my lawyers, but if you excuse me, I will call the movers now and have some of the servants help me pack." I said, turning on my heel, as I walked off to what used to be our marital suite.

Calling the movers quickly, I smiled as they agreed to assist, as I paid them upfront using my credit card, I took out solely to myself. Funding it from investments I had put in from my Lady-Luna salary, letting them build over six months while I got all the evidence I needed to leave Luis and ensuring he would not catch on. I did this with the help of Serena and some servants who were loyal to me over Luis thankful them as I hung up the phone, arranging the movers to be on their way.

I mind-linked trusted servants and my assistant Serena to help me pack, knowing Serena was probably 20 minutes out, still hoping the message reached everyone as Luis could revoke my Lady-Luna mind-link now. Luckily, soon, servants appeared with boxes, and I helped them pack my belongings in them, pointing out what was mine. Some of the servants who wished me to stay murmured goodbyes as not wanting to get caught by Luis siding with me.

Lifting my nose to the air, smelling the familiar wild blueberry scent of my soon-to-be ex.Faye creatures even hybrids could smell scents on people, from their energy or essence of their soul.

"Luis, I know you're there." I said, not turning around, focusing on getting packed and checking my phone to see if Serena had texted me that she had arrived at the gates as the baby kicked me huffing as I rubbed my stomach.

"How did you know Millie?" Luis asked, as I sighed and noticed the servants glancing at us as they moved my items to the moving truck outside. Luis always chose to confront me in front of people lately.

I barely cared anymore about cleaning up his antics in the manor, as he clearly did not see me as his wife anymore or the Lady and Luna of this manor.

"Because you forgot, I am not a normal Faye Luis; I felt that when you cheated on me with her..and her energy smells like yours more than mine does now, and you expected me just to accept it?!" I shouted, putting my hand on my stomach, as the baby kicked hard due to my stress, yet I knew I could not falter now.

Lady-Luna's of the Colony manors were expected to be graceful, elegant, and proper among the vampires at all times. I had filled every mark since I was trained by Luis's mother former-Lady-Luna Priscilla, until today, as I had no more patience for him.

Luis rubbed his face and looked at me with pain in his eyes.

"I thought I had put down enough Faye barriers, so you would be spared, Millie. But you do not understand Gracie..she is my second-chance mate." Luis said as if I should just accept this.

Rage boiled in my veins thinking of the eight years of a decent marriage and this was how he treated me?

"That does not mean you sleep with her, you idiot!" I yelled at him, not hearing anyone walk upstairs to where we were in the manor. Soon, smelling a familiar scent of peppermint.

The smell was followed by my personal assistant's gentle southern voice.

"Lady-Luna Staryln?" Serena called up the stairs to us.

I stroked my long, golden-bronze curly hair in its messy bun, to calm myself enough to answer.

"In here, Serena!" I yelled and turned my attention to Luis, who seemed lost in thought.

"I am sorry. I ..just...." Luis mumbled. I cut him off as I held a finger up to him as I shook my head.

"You do not have to explain to me, Luis. However, before I leave, I do need to reject you. You cannot keep your hands off her even though I carry your heir." I stated even though after everything I was choking back tears.

I saw Serena peer in as she stood in the doorway.

"Serena, if I faint, please call the colony's doctor..and have me transported quickly." I said in a calm voice.

I saw Serena nod as she approached me, her emerald eyes filled with worry as I looked at Luis.

"I, Millicent Jonquilla Starlyn, birthed as Millicent Jonquilla Birchwood, reject you,

Luis Ulfric Starlyn, Elder Vampire heir of the Starlyn Vampire bloodline and acting Alpha and Lord Vampire of the Starlyn Vampire Colony. I denounce my position as the acting Lady-Luna of the Starlyn Vampire Colony and Elder vampire in waiting of the Starylyn Vampire bloodline." I announced.

A wave of electricity struck me as Serena ran to me, catching me. I looked at Luis, who was now falling to his knees, holding his chest. I could see a few servants run to him as he looked at me and spoke through gritted teeth.

"I, Luis Ulfric Starlyn, Elder Vampire heir of the Starlyn Vampire bloodline and acting Lord-Alpha Vampire of the Starlyn Vampire Colony, accept Millicent Jonquilla Starlyn's rejection."

I feel the last bit of the electricity band that held us together snap, causing me to collapse into Serena. As I faded into the blackness, all I could hear was people screaming for a doctor and ambulance.
