We stopped at the store to get some groceries before heading home after work.

I was a bit exhausted by the time we got back home, I arrange the stuffs we had bought before making my way to my room to freshen up and relax for a while. Drew already ordered some pizza on our way back and in no time it would be delivered to our doorstep.

I dropped my bag on the bed, undressed and headed to the bathroom as soon as I got into my room. I needed this shower to relax and feel refreshed after the day’s job, not that I was too tired though.

I came out of the bathroom and put on a pair of panties and my robe as I left my room, it was past seven pm already and I assumed the pizza was here already. Just as I thought, two boxes of pizza were lying on the kitchen counter. They were both Margherita pizza, this has been our favorite type of pizza since childhood and he still remembers. I opened the refrigerator and grabbed a carton of orange juice and the pizza as I headed back to my room, Drew must ha

I cried till I could find no more tears left in my eyes. Why it hurt me this way was what I still couldn’t understand, Drew said nothing to me all these while. He drew small circles on my back and patted my head, this reminded of how he used to always comfort me back then at home whenever my stepfather had tried to abuse or beat me up. He had always fought Mark and never allowed him lay his hands on me when he was at home, this made him earn a kind of hatred from his father.During Drew’s senior year in high school, Mark had stopped fending for him and even paying his tuition fee. This didn’t affect Drew much because he was loved by so many people and had lots of female admirers some of which were very much older than he was but didn’t mind having a thing with him. They took care of his feeding, he only had homemade meals whenever it was cooked by me. They also made sure he was well clothed, had nice haircuts, and that all his stuffs were taken care of including his fees and all he di

DREW’S POVAnger consumed my whole being as I thought about my father’s wife and also Alexa’s mother Camellia. How would a mother claim to love her child and still let her suffer molestation and abuse in the hands of her own husband, this had always been the reason for my provocation back then and a major reason I had left home years ago. She even went as far as blaming her own daughter for seducing the thug she calls a husband.I hate Mark and who he turned out to become, I hate that he’s my father or that I have to refer to him as such. I was thirteen when my dad had brought in Alexa and her mom to the house one evening, he introduced them as our new family. While Camellia was his wife, Alexa would be my new sister. I had no intentions of creating any new bound with anyone as family, but Alexa was the sweetest child anyone would ask of. She was smart and very beautiful with blonde curly hairs. It didn’t take long before we bonded like siblings and I started to care to for like the k

Alexa grew up with so much fear at home, she couldn’t live like a normal young girl nor did most things her mates did. Mark didn’t sleep with her anymore but he still abused her, he uses curse words on her and touched her in inappropriate places which had always provoked me and made me challenged him.I recalled one time he had stabbed my wrist with a knife when he caught me searching his room. I lied I was going to school but hide behind the house and when he had left home, I sneaked back into the house with a spare key and went to search his room. Unfortunately, he forgot something and had returned back home to get it when he caught me searching his room. It had made him very angry and he stabbed my wrist with a knife he kept under his pillow.I sustained a very severe injury in which I couldn’t use my left hands for months which also made me unable to practice or play football. But it didn’t stop my determination to find out the truth, I pretended to have loosed interest in searchi

I had returned home from football practice one evening when Alexa informed me that Mark had traveled out of town with a couple friends and won’t be back till a month time. I took it upon myself to find something worthy of taking him to jail before he returned back home and before I left.It was few weeks before he returned I had found some pictures, an old video cassette and a gun in his brief case. He had hidden it under his bed and thought no one would ever search there. I took out the video cassette, pictures and gun, leaving his brief case exactly where it had been. The pictures were that of Alexa, Camellia and a man I didn’t know, I tried playing the video cassette but it never played. It must have been bad as a result of staying in the box for too long and covered with dust and cobwebs. I wrapped it up and kept it inside of my cloth case alongside other materials I found. I had a strong feeling in that cassette was everything I might need to make Mark pay for everything he did t

We arrived at the office few minutes to eight O’clock.‘’Coffee please.’’ I spoke to Alexa as soon as I had my seat.‘’Alright.’’ She replied, dropped her bag on her desk and walked towards the coffee machine. I watched her back as she moved, her hips and bum swinging slowly and effortlessly in her skirt. Thoughts of making sweet love and ravishing her whole body consumed me I didn’t realize she was done with the coffee and standing right in front of me.‘’Drew, are you alright?’’ she asked snapping her fingers across my face.‘’Yeah, just put it down there.’’ I answered gesturing towards the table and lowering my head. Shit! She must have caught me drooling over her.She already tried her little way to relieve me this morning, I should concentrate on work and also let her get to work. I didn’t want my workers finding out about all of these.‘’You will be sending out some mails today and also I would want you to go over to Nicholas’ office after that to get some files signed. ALEXA’S POVI stood still in fear as Drew spoke to me, I had delivered the files to Nicholas and the item to his friend he called Mike just as he directed but instead of coming back to the office immediately, I decided to hang out with James for a while but didn’t realize the time was far spent and forgot I was to return to the office.James had dragged me into all of these, we branched at Mike’s shop first to give him the disc before going to Nicholas office which wasn’t the instruction given by Drew. The driver had suggested we get to Mike’s place first seeing it was going to be easier and faster instead of going first to Nicholas’ office. I agreed completely since he said it was going to be quicker and I barely knew the way. After I gave Nicholas the files in his office and exchanged all forms of pleasantries with him and was on my way out, I had bumped into James in the stairs who upon seeing me, dragged me behind the staircase with him and we made out. The drive home was silent as neither of us said a word to each other, while he focused on the road, I paid attention to my phone. I replied James and told him I was going to text him when I was free before he could call me.We got out of the car and headed inside the house, he still said nothing to me. The content of the video in his computer must have really gotten to him, I dropped my bag on the sofa in the living room and headed to the kitchen to tidy up the packs I had taken meals with to work. There was absolutely no need to prepare dinner tonight because I might end up having all of it alone and besides I wasn’t really hungry and Drew was in a bad mood.I decided to make some fruit salad instead and store them in the refrigerator for later. I brought out the different fruits I craved for which consists of some apples, bananas and strawberries, I washed and cut them into bits before putting them in a plate and refrigerating. I got to the office and started off with the work I had.Drew had sent an email to me, informing me of the various paper works I would be reviewing and another set of emails to send out. I started by sending out the mails and replying to the ones that needed response before proceeding to review and also type the paper works delivered by one of his workers. I was yet to familiarize myself with the people working here because Drew had told me there was no need and I was here to work and mind my business not gossip around or get to know anyone.I finished my work around few minutes to one pm, I decided it was time I checked what was in Drew’s computer that had infuriated him so much the previous day and even up till now. I turned on the computer and tried to log in but after several attempts of trying the password and no success, I decided to forget about checking the computer and just mind my business.I went back to my desk and thoughts of yesterday and all that played out filled my mi

I woke up early the next morning, feeling excited and nervous. Today was Zach's 17th birthday, and I had plans to surprise him with a special gift. I got out of bed and began to get ready for the day. Drew stirred beside me, opening one eye to look at me. "What's going on?" he asked, his voice husky with sleep."It's Zach's birthday today," I replied, smiling. Drew chuckled and sat up in bed. "Yeah, that’s right. “He’s gonna get real spoilt today.”We both got dressed and headed downstairs to the kitchen. Theresa was already there, cooking up a storm. The delicious smell of pancakes and bacon filled the air, making my stomach growl with hunger."Good morning," Theresa said, smiling at us.“Good morning.” I said and went to help her set the table. “Oh dear, Catherine should handle that.” She said and called on Catherine who rushed from her room to come set the table. “It’s fine, I want to do it.” I told her and she just nodded, stepping back into the kitchen. I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement as Drew’s hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to him. I leaned in, my lips brushing against his. We kissed softly, the tension between us building into something extra. Drew's hands traveled up my back, his fingers tracing the curve of my spine. I shivered, feeling a thrill run down my whole body. He deepened the kiss, his tongue tangling with mine and fighting fiercely for dominance. I felt myself getting lost in the moment, my heart racing with excitement. Drew's hands cupped my face, his thumbs tracing the curve of my cheeks. We broke apart for a moment, gasping for air."I love you," Drew whispered, his eyes burning with intensity."I love you too," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. We kissed again, the passion between us never quenching, gladly I was melting into his arms, our hearts beating as one.The sound of Drew's phone ringing broke the spell, and we reluctantly pulled apart. “Who wants some?” Theresa asked walking in with a plate of sandwiches. I raised my hands and she gave me some, then Zach and Catherine. We munched in silence as we continued to see the movie, just then my phone notifications went off with series of messages. I picked up my phone and checked for who the recipient was, it was Nessa. I had just spoken to her few minutes ago, I wondered what it was she had sent to me as I cleaned my hands with a paper towel and unlocked my phone. “Jezz!” I gasped, my mouth forming an ‘O’ shape. “What’s wrong?” Theresa asked looking at me, not just her, Zach and Catherine too. “Uhm, nothing serious. I’ll just go upstairs to Drew.” I told her as I stood up and made my way upstairs. “You sure everything is fine?” She asked again before I reached the hallway. “Yeah.” I answered her and nodded. “It’s just something I have to show him.” I said and pointed towards Drew’s door. I rushed in and Drew wasn’t in his room, I knew he had to be in the study. “Gue

The next morning, Drew and I sat down to a delicious breakfast, and he mentioned his plan again. "You know, with Christmas just around the corner, I think it's time we started decorating the house," he said, his eyes sparkling with excitement.I smiled, feeling a surge of excitement. "That sounds like someone trying to have so much fun!" I exclaimed.Drew grinned. "I am! And I want you to come with me to the store to pick out some decorations. We can make a day of it."I nodded enthusiastically. "That sounds like a blast! Who else is coming with us?"Drew thought for a moment. "How about Zach and Catherine? We can make it a fun group outing."I clapped my hands together. "Yes, that sounds perfect! Let's go get them."We finished breakfast, and then Drew and I called out to Zach and Catherine who both seemed excited to join us on our decorating adventure. The four of us piled into Drew's car and headed to the store. I woke up early, feeling a mix of emotions. Today was the day of the court case, and I was both nervous and determined.Drew was already up, getting ready for the day. He smiled at me as I got out of bed. "Good morning, beautiful," he said. "Are you ready for today?"I nodded, taking a deep breath. "Yes, I'm ready," I said.We got dressed and went downstairs, where my mom was waiting already. We had a quick breakfast, and then we headed out to the court. As we arrived at the court, I could feel my heart racing. I was scared, but I knew I had to be strong. We went inside and found our seats in the courtroom. Mark was already there, sitting with his lawyer. He looked smug and confident, but I knew that wasn't going to last. The judge came in, and the trial began. Henry presented our case, showing all the evidence we had gathered. Mark's lawyer tried to defend him, but it was clear that they didn't have a strong case. Then it was my turn to testify. I stood up, took a deep breath, and b

I decided to open the folder, my heart sinking Inside when I saw pictures of me dancing at the club, pictures of me picking up money from men. Drew smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Put it away, I'll always stand up for you," he said. "No matter what. He was trying to manipulate me into forgiving him, but it's not going to work. He’s so much and should pay for his crimes. And here, I got the video,” He said, handling me a small flash drive. I did as he said, stuffing the folder in my handbag alongside the flash drive. My mom stood outside the car waiting for us, "What did he say?" she asked as soon as we got close, her voice trembling with anger. I shook my head, not wanting to relive the experience. "It doesn't matter, Mom. We're not going to let him get to us. We're going to focus on moving forward and making sure he pays for what he's done."My mom nodded, her eyes shining with tears. The next morning we all headed to the precinct again, Drew wanted to speak with the lawyers concerning the video, my mom and I decided it was best if we also went along with him. Drew had asked us to sit in the lobby and wait for him while he looked for the lawyer and have a conversation with them, we agreed but few minutes sitting there, I got up and decided to do what has lingered on my mind for a long time. “I’ll be right back.” I told my mom as I got up from my seat. “You sure you don’t want me coming with you?” She asked me, concerned. “No, I won’t take long.” I told her and walked off quickly. I walked out of the lobby and into the hallway, I didn’t know the exact room where Mark is kept but I had overheard the lawyer telling Drew it was in room 12. I moved as fast as my legs could carry me down the hallway before anybody saw me or stopped me, I kept looking up at the numbers written on the door till I finally saw it. ‘Knock first! 12’ was boldly written on the door, I knew

I glanced up at the lawyer and he gave me a reassuring smile, encouraging me to speak. I smiled back at him and started to talk. “It was hell! I was still an infant when my mom had moved into his with me, I didn’t understand anything at that point but one thing I still remember was the fact that I never got any kind of fatherly love or affection from Mark. He was disgusted by everything I did and beat me up or push me at the slightest mistake I made. It got worst whenever he was drunk, he never wanted to see me happy or playing around with children my age. When I was 10, he dragged me into his room one night and raped me. His son Drew was my only companion in the house, my mom said nothing to the constant beating and abuse because she was scared. He forced me to work even before I got to the age of consent, his excuse being that I had to contribute my own share for staying in his house. The rape, torture and abuse continued whenever I was alone at home and Drew was no where to fight

The rest of the day went by with Drew and I talking, cuddling and just hanging out in his bed room. When it was time for dinner, we headed downstairs to eat with the whole family. After which we returned back to his room, watched some comedy and went to bed. I was extremely tired like the previous evening, though it was caused by different activities. It was easier for me to fall asleep and I lured Drew to sleep early as well. “The lawyer called, we should get ready to visit the police precinct.” Drew announced casually as soon as he walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist, his upper body still wet from the shower. I rubbed my eyes which were still full of sleep and yawned, stretching my body all over the bed. “Is there a problem?” I asked him. “Nothing much, I think your mom would be taken in for questioning today, you as well. I’ll go inform her later.” He said and walked into his closet. I just nodded, still lying down. “What time are we leaving?” I qu
