I woke up to the sound of my phone buzzing on the nightstand. I reached over and picked it up, seeing a text from Zach.

"Hey, Alexa! The house feels so empty without you guys. Can't wait for you to come back," the text read.

I smiled, feeling a pang of homesickness. I decided to call Zach and catch up with him and Catherine.

As I dialed the number, Drew stirred beside me, opening one eye lazily. "Who are you calling?" he asked, his voice husky with sleep.

"I'm calling Zach and Catherine," I replied, smiling. "I just got a text from Zach and I wanted to catch up with them."

Drew nodded, closing his eye again. "Okay, baby. I'll let you talk."

I waited for Zach to answer, and when he did, I could hear the sound of Catherine's laughter in the background.
