"We're here to talk about you and not us." But one of them, a fledging vampire council turned the table back to the real topic they were after. Morbius’s ears twitched from overly confident tone that the newbie used.
“Your tone is something, fledgling…” he impreiously commented with coldness in his voice causing the newbie to cower as if he was caught red-handed.
“And you don’t have to worry about me and my land as I can rule over it. Also, if you’re worried about me being a widow, don’t bother remarrying me to some random women out there. You’re not my parents. I don't care for how long I will wait for me to decay or the appearance of my second beloved mate to marry." He continued with his cold and firm voice as he decided and cut the same discussion before getting up.
"Morbius..." The caring vampire council was about to say something but Morbius shook his head.
"I already made my decision as the last request from my deceased wife. So if you excuse me, I have so many things to work on and my servants will show you the way." He firmly said and coldly left them in the meeting room.
As he stormed out of the meeting room, mixed-up emotions were ringing throughout his entire body whenever the vampire council paid him a visit with the same topic to discuss. It annoyed him. It angered him and due to his temperament rising up, he must get out of the castle.
"Jace, ready the car." Morbius was controlling his anger and quickly dropped a message to Jace through their mind.
'As you wish. But where we're heading, Master?'
"Escort House." He answered and walked out of the castle to unwind his mixed-up emotions.
'Understood, Master.'
The escort house was filled with the smell of booze, and cigars, ladies and men almost wearing nothing but they couldn’t be touched without putting a bullet on their head. But Morbius didn’t come for lust but he came to a liquor and a talk with the boss of the house to discuss business.
"Sir Morbius, I'm glad that you made it tonight." Arlo, the human business owner of the escort house on his land.
"It's business around my property, of course, I have to answer." Morbius coldly answered as he took a seat on the couch.
"Well, thank you but let me call for someone who gave me the idea to change this slavery house to an escort and servant's house." Arlo was ecstatic at the news that he was about to share with him.
"That's a clever change since slaves were getting outdated. go on and call whoever it was." He told the owner and Arlo nodded.
"Excuse me then." he excused himself to fetch the person who gave the idea to him. But when the human was gone, Jace was worried.
"Master, are you sure about this meeting?" Jace asked his master carefully.
"Jace, just keep quiet." Morbius hushed him and poured the wine into his glass.
"Okay, Master." Jace stood behind him and let his master enjoy his night.
Morbius waited patiently while drinking a 1560s wine that he loved when his hands started to get sweaty. He wiped them on his pants but it was not subsiding after a minute or two of rest. He got confused when his cold heart started to give a beat. It made him knit his eyebrow in wonder until it did another beat as if his deceased wife was alive once again.
"Is it here?" Morbius wondered as he stopped drinking his wine when Arlo, the master of the escort house entered the room again but alone.
"Sir Morbius, I would like to apologize. Someone had taken her out of the house without our permission and we can't find her." Arlo quickly apologized and Morbius sternly looked at him. He took one sniff around the air and he knew what happened.
"It's okay, Arlo. Just send me the details. I've got to go, something came up." He excused himself and ended the night at the escort house.
"Understood, Sir Morbius, have a nice night." Arlo politely bowed and let Morbius leave the house.
Jace opened the passenger seat at the back of the car and he was about to ask his master when his eyes glow in deep shade of silver grey eyes.
"Master, your eyes," Jace commented but Morbius shook his head to drop it.
"Just drive home." He told his driver bodyguard and Jace nodded without saying anything.
He drove their car back home while Morbius's hands were sweating once again. His heartbeat was faintly beating and the more he moved further away, it was losing its beat. It calmed him but the sweat of his hands was not leaving him.
"What's going on with me tonight?" Morbius wondered since it never happened to him before.
“Jace, stop the car.” he suddenly made the car stop and Jace complied.
Morbius got out of the car and let the breeze of cold air brush his skin. He was feeling the air when Jace offered him a cigar but he refused.
“Wait, here. I’ll take a walk.” He told him and without hearing Jace’s response, he was gone.
With mixed-up emotions of confusion and fear filling Morbius’s body. He tried to sense his heartbeat once again as he kept running around the woods where he felt it before. But with every turn, he did, there was nothing. With a heavy sigh, he went back to the car.
“Let’s go,” Morbius told his driver-bodyguard and get inside the car.
On the other hand, there was a lady who kept running away from her new abductors who wanted to rape her. But she was not an ordinary lady, to begin with.
“Natasha, why do you still have to play weakling human when you’re already out of reach of your real captors?” Natasha groaned to her own thoughts as she finally could breathe but not much. She was haunted by lustful drunkards who abducted her from her real captors, Arlo’s gang.
Natasha Grey was not human to begin with. She's a wolf shifter with massive self-control over her wolf since she's been working as a full-fledged surgeon in the human dwellings. Not until she was abducted and now, almost being raped. Good thing, she still had the remaining strength to play around and escape from those drunkards.
"I wonder if that drunkard's balls were still intact with his crouch." Natasha thoughtfully wondered as being a doctor since she kicked it before fleeing from their grips.
Being in her lingerie and barefoot, she did not care about the muddy earthly ground as she kept running aimlessly around the dark woods where they took her. The only she cared about was escaping and running further from her captors. But the lack of wolf exercises really drained her faster than usual.
"Damn, I need my old workout around the woods," Natasha muttered to herself as she rested behind a tree catching her breathing.
"Come out, come out wherever you are, bunny." Natasha's ears were irked by the laughing voices of those men.
"Come out and play with us." she groaned from hearing them and decided to go on her run again.
"THERE SHE IS!" the man noticed and exclaimed as he went after her.
"C'MON BUNNY. I KNOW YOU WILL LOVE IT!" the second man followed and teasingly shouted.
"LET US HAVE A TASTE OF YOU, BUNNY!" the drunken man who has been lusting so much about her really sent Natasha's mood really grim. She really wanted to kill that particular man but decided not to.
"I'M NOT A BUNNY!" Natasha shouted back in anger but kept running further from them.
"OHHOO. THEN WHAT ARE YOU?" the drunken man chuckled taking Natasha's words lightly.
But what he didn't know something began ticking at the back of Natasha's mind causing her to cloak everything in zero point. There was a sudden silence around the dark woods when they could not hear any response from their prey. But a whisper made the drunken man pee on his pants.
"Nobody but I can howl throughout the night to give a warning of a nightmare coming your way," Natasha whispered tauntingly to the drunken man before slipping away into the shadow of the dark woods.
"What a pity." She muttered to herself as she noticed that they were not able to follow her anymore.
Natasha kept on her tracks and went back on running. But in the middle of her run, something familiar hit her nostrils and made her slow down. She knew the scent that she was smelling around the woods. But the droplets from the night sky alarmed her and went back on running.
"This is not good...I'm having goosebumps..." Natasha muttered as she aimlessly ran out of the woods when the rain started pouring.
It was getting heavier and Natasha might have liked the rain but being soaked in a strong pour had another effect on her body. Her massive control was sending her to the edge but she had to hold it as much as she could. But she was losing her strength under the strong rain. Not until a stretching sound of a tire on the wet ground echoed followed by a loud crash as her body collided with a fully black tainted luxurious car.
“What a night of escapade…” Natasha muttered weakly to herself when she noticed a black leather shoe standing before her.
“Miss, are you okay?” a man with a raspy voice asked Natasha and carefully touched her. Natasha knew that the man was a vampire but a bad one.
“Do I look like I am? I…I’m tired…” She might be weakening due to the impact and lacking strength but she still managed to be sarcastic as she responded to the vampire.
“Miss? Hey, miss!” the vampire man tried to wake her up but she just lost consciousness.
Upon the contact of their car with Natasha’s body, Jace quickly checked it, and took him some time to deal with it. Morbius noticed and partially opened the window in the backseat to call on Jace.
“What’s going on there, Jace?” Morbius asked his driver-bodyguard coldly.
“Master, we hit someone and we need to take her to the hospital…” quickly went to the car and politely answered.
“No need to take her to the hospital. Just take her to the castle and call our family doctor to treat her.” Morbius was not sure why he uttered those words and it caught Jace off guard for a second but he obeyed what his master commanded him.
“Yes, Master,” Jace responded and Morbius closed the window as he let his driver take the unconscious Natasha inside the front seat of the car carefully before going back on their way to the castle.
Morbius might had no idea what’s gotten to him and took a stranger to be in their custody. But the sweating of his hands was now turning warm and his heartbeat was there ringing again. He looked over the front seat but he could not see who was the lady they took in.
“I will learn it later.” Morbius thought to himself until their car stopped.
Jace opened the car for Morbius and he immediately went to the grand staircase of the entrance of the castle. When the door opened for him again, he was once again being greeted by his servants.
"Welcome home, Master Morbius." the servants welcomed him as soon as he stepped inside the castle. He did not utter any words as he just went on removing his globs and his coat.
"Call Dr. Ross now." Morbius coldly commanded and one of the servants immediately complied.
"Master, is she from the dark market?" Rizal, Morbius head bulter asked him as he checked the unconscious Natasha that Jace was carrying.
"Based on how skinny she was, she'd been there for two nights or a third if she didn't escape from one slavery house there." Morbius coldly responded before he glanced at her again. His hands started to warm up again and his heartbeat rang again but he ignored it.
"Impressive," Rizal commented in amusement.
"Indeed. Go on and let her rest. Let me know about everything about what you can find about her.” Morbius walked away as soon as he dropped his last instruction for the night.
Retreating to the weird night of Morbius, he went to his chamber and let himself pour a blood wine over his wine glass. He sipped as he watched the moonlight glow in a different way. "What a different night..." he coldly commented as he recalled what he suddenly felt there. He looked at his sweaty hands before letting his right rested on his left chest to feel his heartbeat faintly beating again. "...I wonder what kind of creature she is...she smelled different..." he muttered to himself before emptying his glass and letting himself do his usual workload. But as another day began kicking in, the weather was gloomy and threatening to rain at any moment. Natasha began stirring up from resting comfortably the whole night of her escapade. She let her eyes adjust as she opened her e
But on the other hand, Natasha started to have a hard time dealing with the heaviness of the rain pouring over her entire body. It was not about the soaking clothes or the mud all over her body but something she could not easily overcome. It was making her hands tremble and cry as she ran aimlessly around the unfamiliar land. ‘Please, tell me where are you now.’ Natasha suddenly heard a very alluring and caring cold voice that she hoped to be cradled with. It perks Natasha's wolf hearing and tried to locate where it came from but there was nothing. There was no sign of anyone causing another wave of dismay. She clicked her tongue in frustration and went on her way to wherever her feet led her. “FUCK THIS!” Natasha suddenly shouted as frustrati
"WHAT’S HAPPENING TO HER?!" Morbius coldly boomed as soon as he reached the room. "We don't know, Master. I can't check her without burning." the family doctor answered in his worried tone. "Burning?" he wondered what does it mean. Morbius looked over the bed and Natasha's body was shivering. She was groaning in pain as she hysterically moved harshly on the bed. She was not possessed but she was steaming hot and nobody could touch her or get near the bed. She was like a sun on how hot her temperature was. "She's hot like a sun." Sandy, the lady vampire servant who carried Natasha answered. "Is she in heat?" Rizal wondered. The family vampire doctor shakes his head.
Roaming around the castle after feeling bored inside her bedroom, the silence around might be deafening but not to Natasha. It somewhat calms her but something she felt missing around the walls of the castle. "Colors...maybe..." she muttered to herself as she looked over a certain space where a grand piano was located. It made her smile. "Shall we give it a try? Well, nobody is stopping me...let's play some." Natasha went to the grand piano at the center of the space. Letting her fingertips touch them, Natasha started recalling faint memories of her childhood when she used to play instruments at their old house. She plays and sings the song called I Will Be Here which was sung by Steven Curtis Chapman. "Tomorrow morning if
From the shadow, the master of the castle hides as he watches very carefully every move that Natasha is doing inside of his chamber. He stalked her quietly but there was something he noticed that made him worried. "What's going on with her? She's losing her consciousness..." Morbius thought when he saw how Natasha wobbled toward the window. He clicked his tongue in annoyance over the worry that he was feeling and showed up in front of her beloved. But it was the wrong move that he did. He received a punch straight to his cold beautiful face once again. “Seriously, how many times you can punch my face in one day so, I can prepare myself for it?” Morbius sighed as he was easing the side of his face that Natasha had accidentally punched.
“Master.” Rizal knocked on Morbius’s chamber before entering. “Don’t disturb me if you have nothing to report. I’m not in a very good mood today.” Morbius was standing by the window looking very deep into nothingness. Rizal noticed that his master was trying to calm himself down from the news that he received earlier. “I can tell that already, Master but we’ve got those two people who stole the truck of rice from the farmers.” Rizal reported what he got. Morbius took a sip from his blood wine. “Good. Are they taken care of very well?” he commented before asking. “Yes, Master and they’re waiting for your sentence.” his butler secretary answered politely. “I’ll be right there. Tell them, to hold them down and make sure nob
Natasha did not know how to react but something flashed at the back of her mind regarding the twins she saw before. It made her wonder if that was the twins that her mate was referring to. But she decided to find it for herself and play it cool. “When you said ‘my twins’ you have kids?” Natasha asked a bit intrigued about what Morbius had just mentioned to her. “Ahm…yeah…they were ten and still growing fast…” Morbius’s voice wavered a little out of agitation to what decision Natasha might give him. “I see…but why I didn’t see them around you often?” she wondered as she started picking some scattered things around the messy room of her mate. “I…none of your business…so, do we have a deal?” Morbius didn’t know what to say and just dropped it before askin
With adrenaline rushing throughout her entire body, Natasha was on her feet as she dashed to the farmer’s area. She might not understand completely what’s making her feel the need to protect something there. It triggered her anger that slowly crept out of her until Kristina reached her side. “NAT!” Kristina shouted as soon as she ran beside her imprinted mother. “Can you slow down a bit? What’s with the rush?” Kristina managed to keep up with her but Natasha shook her head. “I can’t, Tina. there’s something I have to do at the farmers’ area.” Natasha growled deeply making Kristina flinched a little but kept running with her. But they both slow down when they hear crying pleas from t
Time skipped from days to weeks to months and to years and yet nothing seemed to change. The sky was clear and serene even the vast greenfield of El Mezzanotte was indeed filled with peace after some annoyance and rebuilding of the land. But among the peacefulness, the local farmers finally found their other half and built their own families yet, still busy doing what had been assigned to them by their lady and master. Speaking of their lady and master, something seems to switch as soon as their youngest hits five. "MORBIUS, OFFICE NOW!!!" Natasha's fuming voice began to echo throughout the entire land alarming everyone especially her husband, Morbius. Ever since the youngest turned five years old, Morbius started doing more outside field work than usual. He trained with the newbies and youngsters including their
Thunder, lightning, and heavy rain make noise outside the vast greenfield of El Mezzanotte land. There was a newly built barn house next to the hilltop castle where faint groans echoed as if there was a sick animal around. But like the old burned ones, there was a secret trap door leading to a basement filled with dust and rust, smoke, and blood from a captive creature. "KILL ME NOW!" A very loud scream echoed throughout the entire basement. But it was followed by a sarcastic laugh that echoed well throughout the walls of the basement. The lights around the space were flickering and the wall was filled with stains of random bloods of animals or traitors. The sounds of groans and moving chains were making the creepy space more eerie like a haunted space. But the further it went, a tormenting conversation began to
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and yet, Natasha was not speaking terms with everyone. She rarely went out of the room without Morbius beside her. She walked like a hungry zombie whenever she walked alone in the hall of the castle. Everyone was a bit skeptical but when they learned about her being pregnant, they were trying to be understanding. She just has a different way of having a baby. "Wifey, I heard from Rean that you and our baby are doing great." Morbius was drying his hair after a very long day of work throughout the entire land. He was used to it before but when Natasha came, his hard work suddenly got lightened. But not for a couple of months. Natasha just watched Morbius carefully while wearing decent night clothing. She wanted to speak to him but due to her weird pregnancy, she lost her voice like it
It's almost a month already since they handled Lupo's situation on their hands. Everything seemed to move freely once again and peacefully but behind the wall of the castle, everyone was trying to be happy and move forward yet, not that well. "I hope Lady Nat is okay now..." one of the servants hoped for the better well-being of their lady. "She'll be...Master is there to help her this time." another one commented while cleaning up inside the kitchen. "Hope so." Another servant agreed with a hopeful sigh. Everyone was worried about their lady's well-being ever since Morbius managed to put Natasha to sleep, she hadn't woke up for three weeks already. It was almost four weeks and there was no sign of waking up and it was worrying Morbius.
As anger was taking its toll on Natasha, she was not a doctor that everyone knew about. She began to be a merciless alpha who overly protected her pack and the land that she owned alongside her mate. Lupo wasn't exempted from her wrath. Nobody does. "This is for my lost pack and for killing my mother, Thalia." She gave two tormenting lightning strikes from the sky making Lupo howl in pain. "And this one for endangering and manipulating the innocent desire of every creature you crossed with." She was growling deeper and full of hatred. She even gave her enormous punch causing Lupo to stumble like a bouncing ball on the earthly ground before crashing and smashing two old pine trees around the training field. Natasha was empty and cold yet the heat from her anger was releasing her
The night just unfolds the strongest storm that ever hit the land of El Mezannotte. The rain was even falling heavy and the wind furiously made everything not just sway but dancing wild as if it was ripping the greenery around the woods. Even the thunder was clapping furiously and the lightning didn't stop from slicing the sky in anger. It was indeed a furious typhoon. 'MASTER, THEY WERE PRESSING ON.' 'The flames around the perimeter were now gone.' In annoyance, Morbius clicked his tongue when he heard the report from his men over the castle's perimeter. He glanced over at his beloved who kept fighting with her bear fist against Lupo. 'GO! I'll handle him.' "Please be sa
Noises from a nonstop fight between creatures of the night. They battle by force, one was being manipulated to invade and kill while the others were defending their land. Yet, with the magical barrier, no human being outside the castle's land was alarmed by the blazing fire from the explosion happening within the castle. "Belle," Ceres called her wife as soon as they got back together in the middle of the fight. "Don't even think about using our Immortal Blood here. We're just helping them." Frizabelle quickly said to her causing Ceres to pout as she slammed the rogue's head on the ground, making it unconscious. "Let them deal the rest. We could only stun or immobilize them but never kill them. We're not assigned to do that, Ceres." Francesca added when she kicked a reckless rogue to its head
Groaning. Panting. Growling. Those are the things that were echoing throughout the entire barn house where Morbius kept his prisoner tormented. "Is that all you have? Pathetic, Morbius's pets. HAHAHA!" Lupo laughed like a lunatic while bleeding from the punches that he was receiving. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" The male werewolf who was assigned to punching him shouted. "We're more than you think. We're just holding ourselves from the likes of you." Another vampire but a lady spoke with venom while smoking at the staircase's railing. "You touched our lady and this was from us." Another male vampire coldly added before a back fist slapped Lupo's face.
As another day came to their lives, Natasha and Sandy decided to stroll around the market to check things in person as well as to buy something for her personally."Sandy, what do you think? Natasha asked as soon as they came out from the fitting room of the clothing shop."Hm, they look great on you. You look professional." Sandy commented on the suit that her lady was wearing."I am. But do you think the color was the right one for me?" she asked Sandy."Anything suits you but when it comes to color, I think you're the same as our master. He loves crimson red or maroon color." She suggested as she picked the color and handed it to Natasha."Well, since I do have fair skin tone color, I think dark colors won't
