Retreating to the weird night of Morbius, he went to his chamber and let himself pour a blood wine over his wine glass. He sipped as he watched the moonlight glow in a different way.
"What a different night..." he coldly commented as he recalled what he suddenly felt there. He looked at his sweaty hands before letting his right rested on his left chest to feel his heartbeat faintly beating again.
"...I wonder what kind of creature she is...she smelled different..." he muttered to himself before emptying his glass and letting himself do his usual workload.
But as another day began kicking in, the weather was gloomy and threatening to rain at any moment. Natasha began stirring up from resting comfortably the whole night of her escapade. She let her eyes adjust as she opened her eyes only to be welcomed but an unfamiliar ceiling and bloody scent all over the place. It was not a disturbing scent but it made her agitated a little. She looked around and found a vampire servant wearing maid clothing getting wet towels when Natasha began coughing.
"Oh my! You're awake! Thanked God!" the vampire servant exclaimed but not so much that she was jumping like an ecstatic kid. Natasha found it cute but didn’t show it to her face.
"Okay? but where am I?" Natasha tried to sit up from the bed and the servant helped her out.
"You're at Draven's household. My master accidentally hit you that's why you're here." the vampire servant answered what she only knew to Natasha.
"I see...ahm..." Natasha didn't know what to say to her since the servant was a vampire when her stomach crumbled. The vampire servant chuckled.
"Seems like you are hungry. I will get something for you to eat and you have to stay here till you are fully recovered." The vampire servant smiled genuinely at her and she left her alone in the room.
“She seems a friendly vampire…” she muttered to herself when she was left alone in the decent room.
“Well, I better get out of the castle filled with vampires.” She quickly got up from the bed and began stretching as if she had not collapsed last night. She was about to use the window when she saw a new pair of clothing prepared for her. She smiled at the thoughtfulness and wore them but it didn't stop her from escaping again.
The coldness of the weather in the morning was likable mostly to the vampires who were living in the castle. It was doing them a favor by being criticized by humans when they made contact with them. But on Morbius's side, something else was making him intrigued by the strange lady that they saved last night.
“Master, you had a meeting this afternoon with the council representative Magnus.” his head butler, Rizal who was also working as his secretary informed his master.
“They were going to talk about my marriage again…” Morbius sighed coldly as he started fixing his own clothes for the day.
“Seems like and after that you had to roam around the land to check the businesses since there were reported missing goods after a day or two from harvesting.” Rizal added another report that his master must hear.
“Hoping that I will hear new culprit’s name…it's been happening after my wife died, am I right?” Morbius coldly commented as he began to wear decent clothing that he chooses for himself.
“Sadly, yes, Master.” Rizal sadly sighed as he agreed with his master.
“Anything else to add?” he wondered as he began on wearing his dark maroon polo.
“It was about the strange lady from last night.” Rizal was not sure whether to share it or not but knowing his master, he had to.
“Go on I’m listening.” Morbius coldly ushered him to continue his report.
“Dr. Ross said that she was just exhausted and hadn’t been eating properly but something else caused her sudden collapse apart from being hit by our car…” he started on reporting about the strange lady’s status. Morbius sensed something that Rizal was doubting on reporting to him.
“Just continue your report. Let me hear the rest of it whether they were good or bad omens. I don’t care about them anymore.” Morbius firmly told him. Rizal jolted and proceeded with his report.
“He did some tests on her and found out that she was not a human but a rogue wolf…yet, there’s something that he could not figure out…” Rizal went on reporting.
“Hmm…I like thought…there was something different about her…” Morbius coldly muttered to himself before facing his head butler. Rizal heard it but did not comment since he didn’t want to be beheaded from prying too much.
“‘What kind of wolf she was?’, am I right?” he easily could guess and Rizal agreed by nodding.
“Yes, Master. Is it possible for us not to distinguish what kind of wolf she could be? I’m just curious since I’ve never heard it before.” he wondered.
“It's a rare case but it doesn’t mean it didn’t exist.” with his usual cold voice, Morbius clarified to his head butler and secretary. Rizal nodded in understanding.
“Alright, if that was the case kept watching her in right distance until I said so.” He added as he began wearing his vest.
“Yes, master.” the head butler, Rizal answered politely and was about to leave when Morbius remembered something.
“Oh, don’t make her leave our land at all cost.” Morbius commanded since he was already intrigued by the stranger’s presence even though he had no idea what the stranger looked like.
“Can I know the reason, Master?” his head butler asked in a curious tone.
“There was something about her that could bring something to our land that we’ve lost once.” He coldly answered as he was about to grab his coat. But he glanced over his sweaty hands before sighing.
“If that was the case then I will make sure that she’s well guarded, Master.” the head butler saluted while smirking since he could sense some fascination from the aura of their master.
“I’m counting you on that.” Morbius said and they both headed out of his chamber.
They were walking in the hall when Morbius stopped in her tracks and looked over the huge window. The morning clouds were getting darker at every moment when he sensed something was about to happen. His hand began to sweat much more than earlier which never happened before except when he met his deceased wife.
“Master?” his head butler wondered what made his master stop from his usual fast tracks.
“Has the breakfast ready?” Morbius asked out of the blue but his focus was on the gloomy weather outside the castle.
“Yes…” the head butler answered but something began to alarm him through his mind. Morbius turned his attention to the window when he heard a report from the assigned servant to the strange wolf lady.
‘I’m sorry, Rizal. She’s gone when I came back with her breakfast.’
“WHAT DID YOU SAY?!” the head butler exclaimed making him bow apologetically to his master but Morbius waved his hand and he dashed off toward a room.
“Hmm, seems to me you love to run.” Morbius found himself smirking at what he was vaguely sensing. And being alone in the hall, he opened the window before him to do a stunt that he did once when he was young. He jumped out of the window and then landed on the earthly ground smoothly without any impact on it.
Meanwhile, Natasha kept running on her barefoot and she had no idea for how long she was already running around. Without any destination - she easily got lost in the huge property of the vampires who took her in. She groaned and frustration doubled up when an alarm began echoing throughout the entire perimeter of the castle.
“Shit! They know that I escaped.” Natasha clicked her tongue in annoyance as she kept running.
Natasha was looking around but couldn't find any place to hide since it was a field with woods and bushes with nothing else. She frustratedly sighed and ran for some more but something made her weak.
“I have to keep going.” Natasha muttered to herself as she tried to hide herself since she noticed some men were roaming around, searching for her.
“YOU AND YOUR GROUP RUN OVER THERE. WE’LL GO OVER HERE. BE ALERT.” one vampire man shouted.
“YES, SIR!” the rest of the vampires shouted in agreement before running to their designated destination.
“Damn, think Natasha.” she groaned to herself when she heard them being close to where she was hiding.
The feeling of being cornered, Natasha hates it and decides to close her eyes. She started calming herself by making sure that her mind was as clear as a vast sky. She even does her breathing exercises without letting anyone sense her. They might be vampires but whenever Natasha dropped her being into nothingness, everything was cloaked into zero madness.
"Natasha, let's play like the old times..." Natasha thought to herself and opened her eyes almost shifting into her wolf but didn't.
Letting herself compose, she carefully got off from her hiding spot and dashed somewhere less patrolling guards. But that was just wishful thinking since the reality, vampires were scattered around the castle's perimeter.
"Let's dance in the shadow," Natasha muttered to herself while smirking since she was in her younger years when she was in training with the pack.
Natasha began humming a melody as her body began swaying and imitating the movement of the vampires that she was shadowing. Each move was not noticed or sensed as she was very good at hiding her real identity. But the crumbling sound up the sky was starting to make her tremble.
"Focus." She chanted to herself and went on humming and dancing around without being noticed.
Each step that she created was like a wind within a shadow that can't be penetrated or disturbed. But something was oddly different in the air when she sniffed it.
"Not that scent again." She groaned to herself which made her almost caught up if she did not manage to duck. She crawled and got up behind the tree before running once again.
As Natasha was busy in her own world from waltzing in the shadow of those vampire guards, Morbius was blending in the shadow of the trees. He was using his senses as being the master of his castle but something was amidst in between energy flow within his land. Something was moving but had an unpredictable flow.
"Tell me, where are you?" Morbius muttered to himself as he got down from the trees and decided to touch the ground. He began to feel everything around his land in one simple touch.
Morbius began sensing everything when he noticed a different flow among his kind. He creepily smirked as he found was he was looking for and went to where it was coming from. But his excitement died down when he reached the area, there was nobody there.
"You're different from any wolves I’ve encountered before...who are you, my mysterious wolf lady…" Morbius found himself fascinated by the stranger in his land.
He went on running around his land to check everything without being noticed by his own men. But the weather was getting darker and began to release a few droplets until it poured heavily. Morbius kept running when his palms began to be sweaty again and his cold heart began to beat for some odd reason once more.
"Is she?" Morbius muttered to himself as he halted to feel his heartbeat that he almost cried. The last time that his heart began beating was due to the presence of his deceased wife.
Being wet was not a bother to Morbius as he kept searching for what made him feel like a second chance in love was getting closer to him. It helps him to hide the sudden tears that he misses feeling and he keeps those tears from his men see it.
"Please, tell me where are you now." He thought with hope as he kept searching for the stranger who was making him feel again.
But on the other hand, Natasha started to have a hard time dealing with the heaviness of the rain pouring over her entire body. It was not about the soaking clothes or the mud all over her body but something she could not easily overcome. It was making her hands tremble and cry as she ran aimlessly around the unfamiliar land. ‘Please, tell me where are you now.’ Natasha suddenly heard a very alluring and caring cold voice that she hoped to be cradled with. It perks Natasha's wolf hearing and tried to locate where it came from but there was nothing. There was no sign of anyone causing another wave of dismay. She clicked her tongue in frustration and went on her way to wherever her feet led her. “FUCK THIS!” Natasha suddenly shouted as frustrati
"WHAT’S HAPPENING TO HER?!" Morbius coldly boomed as soon as he reached the room. "We don't know, Master. I can't check her without burning." the family doctor answered in his worried tone. "Burning?" he wondered what does it mean. Morbius looked over the bed and Natasha's body was shivering. She was groaning in pain as she hysterically moved harshly on the bed. She was not possessed but she was steaming hot and nobody could touch her or get near the bed. She was like a sun on how hot her temperature was. "She's hot like a sun." Sandy, the lady vampire servant who carried Natasha answered. "Is she in heat?" Rizal wondered. The family vampire doctor shakes his head.
Roaming around the castle after feeling bored inside her bedroom, the silence around might be deafening but not to Natasha. It somewhat calms her but something she felt missing around the walls of the castle. "Colors...maybe..." she muttered to herself as she looked over a certain space where a grand piano was located. It made her smile. "Shall we give it a try? Well, nobody is stopping me...let's play some." Natasha went to the grand piano at the center of the space. Letting her fingertips touch them, Natasha started recalling faint memories of her childhood when she used to play instruments at their old house. She plays and sings the song called I Will Be Here which was sung by Steven Curtis Chapman. "Tomorrow morning if
From the shadow, the master of the castle hides as he watches very carefully every move that Natasha is doing inside of his chamber. He stalked her quietly but there was something he noticed that made him worried. "What's going on with her? She's losing her consciousness..." Morbius thought when he saw how Natasha wobbled toward the window. He clicked his tongue in annoyance over the worry that he was feeling and showed up in front of her beloved. But it was the wrong move that he did. He received a punch straight to his cold beautiful face once again. “Seriously, how many times you can punch my face in one day so, I can prepare myself for it?” Morbius sighed as he was easing the side of his face that Natasha had accidentally punched.
“Master.” Rizal knocked on Morbius’s chamber before entering. “Don’t disturb me if you have nothing to report. I’m not in a very good mood today.” Morbius was standing by the window looking very deep into nothingness. Rizal noticed that his master was trying to calm himself down from the news that he received earlier. “I can tell that already, Master but we’ve got those two people who stole the truck of rice from the farmers.” Rizal reported what he got. Morbius took a sip from his blood wine. “Good. Are they taken care of very well?” he commented before asking. “Yes, Master and they’re waiting for your sentence.” his butler secretary answered politely. “I’ll be right there. Tell them, to hold them down and make sure nob
Natasha did not know how to react but something flashed at the back of her mind regarding the twins she saw before. It made her wonder if that was the twins that her mate was referring to. But she decided to find it for herself and play it cool. “When you said ‘my twins’ you have kids?” Natasha asked a bit intrigued about what Morbius had just mentioned to her. “Ahm…yeah…they were ten and still growing fast…” Morbius’s voice wavered a little out of agitation to what decision Natasha might give him. “I see…but why I didn’t see them around you often?” she wondered as she started picking some scattered things around the messy room of her mate. “I…none of your business…so, do we have a deal?” Morbius didn’t know what to say and just dropped it before askin
With adrenaline rushing throughout her entire body, Natasha was on her feet as she dashed to the farmer’s area. She might not understand completely what’s making her feel the need to protect something there. It triggered her anger that slowly crept out of her until Kristina reached her side. “NAT!” Kristina shouted as soon as she ran beside her imprinted mother. “Can you slow down a bit? What’s with the rush?” Kristina managed to keep up with her but Natasha shook her head. “I can’t, Tina. there’s something I have to do at the farmers’ area.” Natasha growled deeply making Kristina flinched a little but kept running with her. But they both slow down when they hear crying pleas from t
Morbius has been preoccupied with troubles around the land and he was groaning in annoyance inside his chamber. He was about to snap from the overwhelming reports that Rizal had been informing him. "Master?" Rizal carefully asked since he could sense the anger that had been building up around Morbius. "Anything else to add?" he coldly asked as he pinched the bridge of his nose since the issue kept swirling around Ethan Robosso. "Ahm, I just wanted to remind you about Rean Aspire's arrival..." Rizal gulped as he informed the meeting that he needed to attend. "I know. Prepare anything that she could be needing while she's here..." He sighed and just let him prepare what needed to prepare for her arrival later.
Time skipped from days to weeks to months and to years and yet nothing seemed to change. The sky was clear and serene even the vast greenfield of El Mezzanotte was indeed filled with peace after some annoyance and rebuilding of the land. But among the peacefulness, the local farmers finally found their other half and built their own families yet, still busy doing what had been assigned to them by their lady and master. Speaking of their lady and master, something seems to switch as soon as their youngest hits five. "MORBIUS, OFFICE NOW!!!" Natasha's fuming voice began to echo throughout the entire land alarming everyone especially her husband, Morbius. Ever since the youngest turned five years old, Morbius started doing more outside field work than usual. He trained with the newbies and youngsters including their
Thunder, lightning, and heavy rain make noise outside the vast greenfield of El Mezzanotte land. There was a newly built barn house next to the hilltop castle where faint groans echoed as if there was a sick animal around. But like the old burned ones, there was a secret trap door leading to a basement filled with dust and rust, smoke, and blood from a captive creature. "KILL ME NOW!" A very loud scream echoed throughout the entire basement. But it was followed by a sarcastic laugh that echoed well throughout the walls of the basement. The lights around the space were flickering and the wall was filled with stains of random bloods of animals or traitors. The sounds of groans and moving chains were making the creepy space more eerie like a haunted space. But the further it went, a tormenting conversation began to
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and yet, Natasha was not speaking terms with everyone. She rarely went out of the room without Morbius beside her. She walked like a hungry zombie whenever she walked alone in the hall of the castle. Everyone was a bit skeptical but when they learned about her being pregnant, they were trying to be understanding. She just has a different way of having a baby. "Wifey, I heard from Rean that you and our baby are doing great." Morbius was drying his hair after a very long day of work throughout the entire land. He was used to it before but when Natasha came, his hard work suddenly got lightened. But not for a couple of months. Natasha just watched Morbius carefully while wearing decent night clothing. She wanted to speak to him but due to her weird pregnancy, she lost her voice like it
It's almost a month already since they handled Lupo's situation on their hands. Everything seemed to move freely once again and peacefully but behind the wall of the castle, everyone was trying to be happy and move forward yet, not that well. "I hope Lady Nat is okay now..." one of the servants hoped for the better well-being of their lady. "She'll be...Master is there to help her this time." another one commented while cleaning up inside the kitchen. "Hope so." Another servant agreed with a hopeful sigh. Everyone was worried about their lady's well-being ever since Morbius managed to put Natasha to sleep, she hadn't woke up for three weeks already. It was almost four weeks and there was no sign of waking up and it was worrying Morbius.
As anger was taking its toll on Natasha, she was not a doctor that everyone knew about. She began to be a merciless alpha who overly protected her pack and the land that she owned alongside her mate. Lupo wasn't exempted from her wrath. Nobody does. "This is for my lost pack and for killing my mother, Thalia." She gave two tormenting lightning strikes from the sky making Lupo howl in pain. "And this one for endangering and manipulating the innocent desire of every creature you crossed with." She was growling deeper and full of hatred. She even gave her enormous punch causing Lupo to stumble like a bouncing ball on the earthly ground before crashing and smashing two old pine trees around the training field. Natasha was empty and cold yet the heat from her anger was releasing her
The night just unfolds the strongest storm that ever hit the land of El Mezannotte. The rain was even falling heavy and the wind furiously made everything not just sway but dancing wild as if it was ripping the greenery around the woods. Even the thunder was clapping furiously and the lightning didn't stop from slicing the sky in anger. It was indeed a furious typhoon. 'MASTER, THEY WERE PRESSING ON.' 'The flames around the perimeter were now gone.' In annoyance, Morbius clicked his tongue when he heard the report from his men over the castle's perimeter. He glanced over at his beloved who kept fighting with her bear fist against Lupo. 'GO! I'll handle him.' "Please be sa
Noises from a nonstop fight between creatures of the night. They battle by force, one was being manipulated to invade and kill while the others were defending their land. Yet, with the magical barrier, no human being outside the castle's land was alarmed by the blazing fire from the explosion happening within the castle. "Belle," Ceres called her wife as soon as they got back together in the middle of the fight. "Don't even think about using our Immortal Blood here. We're just helping them." Frizabelle quickly said to her causing Ceres to pout as she slammed the rogue's head on the ground, making it unconscious. "Let them deal the rest. We could only stun or immobilize them but never kill them. We're not assigned to do that, Ceres." Francesca added when she kicked a reckless rogue to its head
Groaning. Panting. Growling. Those are the things that were echoing throughout the entire barn house where Morbius kept his prisoner tormented. "Is that all you have? Pathetic, Morbius's pets. HAHAHA!" Lupo laughed like a lunatic while bleeding from the punches that he was receiving. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" The male werewolf who was assigned to punching him shouted. "We're more than you think. We're just holding ourselves from the likes of you." Another vampire but a lady spoke with venom while smoking at the staircase's railing. "You touched our lady and this was from us." Another male vampire coldly added before a back fist slapped Lupo's face.
As another day came to their lives, Natasha and Sandy decided to stroll around the market to check things in person as well as to buy something for her personally."Sandy, what do you think? Natasha asked as soon as they came out from the fitting room of the clothing shop."Hm, they look great on you. You look professional." Sandy commented on the suit that her lady was wearing."I am. But do you think the color was the right one for me?" she asked Sandy."Anything suits you but when it comes to color, I think you're the same as our master. He loves crimson red or maroon color." She suggested as she picked the color and handed it to Natasha."Well, since I do have fair skin tone color, I think dark colors won't
