Thunder, lightning, and heavy rain make noise outside the vast greenfield of El Mezzanotte land. There was a barnhouse next to the hilltop castle where faint groans echoed as if there was a sick animal around. But beneath the barn house, there was a secret trap door leading to a basement filled with dust, dirt, and smoke from tobacco.
“What do you think, the Master will do with him?” a voice of man wondered even though he knew what the answer would be.
“Don’t ask since there’s nothing to talk about what will he do to a traitor like him.” another voice that came from a lady with a scoff beneath her breath as she smoked her tobacco.
The lights around the space were flickering and the wall was filled with stains of random bloods of animals or traitors. It was really like a haunted space but the further it went, the groans were getting louder and clearer pleas met torturing punches.
“Argh…please…stop…I…I’m sorry…” a broken voice of a man begged for his life. The man was chained up on a chair with a couple of bruises from the torture that his captors gave him. But he still lives and yet, badly wounded.
“Sorry, you say…but Master won’t let you slip away without paying for what you’ve done.” A pale man with grinning lips tauntingly chuckled as said those words to the tied man on the steal chair.
“I swear, I have nothing to do with it…” the wounded and tied man tried to reason.
“NONSENSE! I don’t think Master will let you go that easily even if you plead.” Another pale man chuckled before he gave the captived man a very hard punch over his stomach. It causes him to cough blood.
“I’M TELLING THE TRUTH!” he groaned in pain as he screamed at them. They chuckled.
“Then who was it?” the only pale woman who had been smoking was the one who asked.
“I don’t know him…” he shivered over her cold gaze as he answered.
“You’re drying our patience low.” the wounded man’s torturer scoffed with warning beneath his tone.
“I think he needs more.” the same smoking pale woman told the men causing the wounded man to flinch in fear.
“NO MORE! PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU!” he begged as he cried for more.
“Then give us the name or else... these pliers will cut every part of you.” the first pale man who had been torturing him showed him the pliers before stabbing his thigh.
“NO!” he screamed in pain.
“NAME!” the second pale man shouted.
“ETHAN! ETHAN ROBOSSO!” the wounded man answered in a shout when the first pale man took out the pierced pliers from his thigh.
As they were having fun torturing the man who betrayed their master and messing around their land, a snickering voice from another pale lady came into view.
“That’s stinky.” The pale lady reacted with a chuckle as she leaned over the staircase of the barn’s basement. It made the rest pale creatures stand down on their spot.
“Master is heading this way and I think you should hang him now.” She added causing them to nod.
“Oh, you really angered our Master.” The smoking pale woman shook her head while the others prepared the chains to wrap around the wounded man.
“What a pity.” The pale man who had been giving him a hard time gave him another blow to knock him down.
“Did you get the name?” the pale lady asked as she stood still on her spot.
“Yeah, and I bet Master’s head will hurt again from hearing the same name again.” The same smoking pale woman answered and blew her smoke.
“It's been a while since the last time he calmed down…I miss the old master…” a heavy sigh escaped from the pale lady.
“But what can we do when his heart was shuttered and became ruthless of all? He became the nightmare of everyone who wronged our land’s peace.” The same pale man who had been torturing the man added and started to lighten his tobacco after hanging the unconscious wounded man.
“And this man will taste it so don’t ask anymore. We all witness that.” The smoking pale woman said when they heard the voice of their master.
“Witness my ruthlessness?” a cold-firm and imperious voice from a man spoke that made the three of them stand up and politely bow at him.
“Master.” they all greeted him in unison.
“Apologies, Master. We're just talking...” The second pale man beside the smoking pale woman answered their master.
“I see…you can all go and clean the mess after I am done.” Their master waved it off and went closer to the captive man behind his men.
“Now, let me play with this traitor alone.” Their master said and waved her hand to dismiss them.
“Yes, Master.” they all left him to do what he came for.
The pale man was seriously emitting a dominating and imperious aura that could bring anyone to their knees. He folded the steel chair and harshly hit the unconscious hangman before him. The wounded man woke up from the pain and looked around until his eyes widened on meeting a very deep shade of amber eyes sternly looking at him.
“Y-you…” the hanged man stuttered as he knew who was the pale man standing before him. He tried to fight the fear that he was feeling but couldn’t. The pale man evilly stared at him.
“I know, right, surprise?” he taunted as his cold voice sent a shiver down the man’s spine causing him to pee on his pants.
“W-what are y-you going to d-do to m-me?!” he was totally frightened before the pale man was not a human at all.
“Drain you and sell your blood to the hospital since you don’t deserve it anymore.” He coldly answered.
“Wha-!” he was about to say something when he appeared closer to him and grabbed his chin with cold but penetrating amber eyes glaring at him.
“Don’t speak as I never ask anything of you but...let’s have fun with your blood. Shall we start?” he coldly said and the next thing that happened was a cursing pain spreading throughout the hanged man when he struck his sharp claws over its body.
The groaning, pleading, or even the scream finally died down from echoing around the haunted barn's basement. The pale man around his 40s was indeed covered with blood as he was monstrous and killed the man who causing havoc around his land.
"Lifeless body is now fully drained. Let's benefit from your blood since it's very clean upon tasting it." A cold and imperious tone from the pale man commented after licking his fingertips from killing his prey.
The wounded hanged man was indeed lifeless as it was covered with bruises and claw marks as if it was hit by rapid wolves or bears around the area. He likes the view but recalling what the man had done to his subjects around his land, it was an unforgivable one.
"Rizal." the pale man called someone that he trusted.
"Yes, Master Morbius?" Like a wind, it appeared behind him with a respectful bow at him.
"Clean this up and make sure his blood is put to good use." the pale man named Morbius Draven answered in his usual cold voice and started washing his hands that were fully prepared for him.
Morbius Draven was not aged and still looked in his 40s as he was a vampire duke in his own land called El Mezzanotte. He cold and ruthless vampire of his own land. He was not afraid of tainting his own hands with blood, especially when his subjects were on the line. He can be anyone's notorious nightmare in their lives.
"Understood, I will get our family doctor to check it before sending it off to the hospitals." Rizal, his head butler bodyguard politely responded before handing a clean towel to his master.
"That will be a great help. Anything else, to update me with my schedule today?" Morbius coldly asked his butler while drying his hands with a towel.
"About that...I am not sure if you are willing to meet them again..." he sighed since he knew that his master wouldn't like to meet them again but it would be his decision.
"Oh them...vampire council in my doorsteps again..." Morbius coldly reacted.
"Yes, Master." Rizal clarified it.
"What a pain..." His master sighed coldly before leaving the premises of the barn as he let his men clean the bloody mess that he created there.
Doing the usual deal that Morbius has around his property, he never forgets to check his subjects' well-being as well. He might be cold and expressionless but he was still a caring master of his land. But he has to go back to his castle.
"Jace, drive home," Morbius commanded his driver-bodyguard as soon as he got near his super-tainted black Mercedes Benz.
"Understood, Master," Jace answered politely before closing the passenger door and heading to the driverseat to head back to the castle.
With the thought of heading home, he needed to prepare himself to deal with the same topic with the vampire council. He was checking his phone while from time to time checking every field that they were crossing until their car stopped.
"Master, we're already here." Jace politely said as soon as he opened the car door for his master.
"Let's deal with them," Morbius told to himself and head inside the castle.
He was warmly welcomed by his servants and he just gave a cold look before waving his hand to dismiss them. They all headed back to their assigned tasks around the castle while he went to the meeting room. He entered with coldness and the vampir council around shivered while some were annoyed with his rudeness.
"Do tell me what brought you here again and I hope it was not the same topic since it will be the same answer. NO." Morbius went straight to the point as soon as he sat on his chair.
"Morbius, you know that you can't handle the land alone, so please..." one of the vampire councils and the most caring among them said but he raised his hand to interrupt her.
"Rude." one of the vampire councils reacted and Morbius's ears twitched but he must remain calm in front of them. Even though, deep inside he really wanted to kill them all for bothering him with the same topic.
"I have something to say and you all know that I'd rather rule my OWN LAND with or without a wife beside me. All know what would happen if we married based on wealth or money." Morbius went straight to the point at them once again but it seemed it was not being heard at all.
"Nothing is wrong with it." another one speaks but Morbius sighed while pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Maybe some can handle it but I respect love when it comes to me again. I don't want to be tied to someone who's not meant for me. you all should know the effect of mates on us you are all vampire council for nothing unless you're just using that title." He coldly countered causing them to look at each other to wonder who what he was referring to.
"What are you saying that some of us using it?" the same vampire who called him rude asked for confirmation.
"I didn't say anything like that but who knows...." Morbius just shrugged his shoulders as he did not give them any satisfaction from hearing the real reason why he got that idea. It was surely saved only for his knowledge and not them until it was time.
“...maybe something else going on behind your backs without you knowing it. Or maybe you're just letting it slip whenever it happens." Morbius indirectly informs them making them wonder about that topic.
"We're here to talk about you and not us." But one of them, a fledging vampire council turned the table back to the real topic they were after. Morbius’s ears twitched from overly confident tone that the newbie used. “Your tone is something, fledgling…” he impreiously commented with coldness in his voice causing the newbie to cower as if he was caught red-handed. “And you don’t have to worry about me and my land as I can rule over it. Also, if you’re worried about me being a widow, don’t bother remarrying me to some random women out there. You’re not my parents. I don't care for how long I will wait for me to decay or the appearance of my second beloved mate to marry." He continued with his cold and firm voice as he decided and cut the same discussion before getting up. "Morbius..." The caring vampire counc
Retreating to the weird night of Morbius, he went to his chamber and let himself pour a blood wine over his wine glass. He sipped as he watched the moonlight glow in a different way. "What a different night..." he coldly commented as he recalled what he suddenly felt there. He looked at his sweaty hands before letting his right rested on his left chest to feel his heartbeat faintly beating again. "...I wonder what kind of creature she is...she smelled different..." he muttered to himself before emptying his glass and letting himself do his usual workload. But as another day began kicking in, the weather was gloomy and threatening to rain at any moment. Natasha began stirring up from resting comfortably the whole night of her escapade. She let her eyes adjust as she opened her e
But on the other hand, Natasha started to have a hard time dealing with the heaviness of the rain pouring over her entire body. It was not about the soaking clothes or the mud all over her body but something she could not easily overcome. It was making her hands tremble and cry as she ran aimlessly around the unfamiliar land. ‘Please, tell me where are you now.’ Natasha suddenly heard a very alluring and caring cold voice that she hoped to be cradled with. It perks Natasha's wolf hearing and tried to locate where it came from but there was nothing. There was no sign of anyone causing another wave of dismay. She clicked her tongue in frustration and went on her way to wherever her feet led her. “FUCK THIS!” Natasha suddenly shouted as frustrati
"WHAT’S HAPPENING TO HER?!" Morbius coldly boomed as soon as he reached the room. "We don't know, Master. I can't check her without burning." the family doctor answered in his worried tone. "Burning?" he wondered what does it mean. Morbius looked over the bed and Natasha's body was shivering. She was groaning in pain as she hysterically moved harshly on the bed. She was not possessed but she was steaming hot and nobody could touch her or get near the bed. She was like a sun on how hot her temperature was. "She's hot like a sun." Sandy, the lady vampire servant who carried Natasha answered. "Is she in heat?" Rizal wondered. The family vampire doctor shakes his head.
Roaming around the castle after feeling bored inside her bedroom, the silence around might be deafening but not to Natasha. It somewhat calms her but something she felt missing around the walls of the castle. "Colors...maybe..." she muttered to herself as she looked over a certain space where a grand piano was located. It made her smile. "Shall we give it a try? Well, nobody is stopping me...let's play some." Natasha went to the grand piano at the center of the space. Letting her fingertips touch them, Natasha started recalling faint memories of her childhood when she used to play instruments at their old house. She plays and sings the song called I Will Be Here which was sung by Steven Curtis Chapman. "Tomorrow morning if
From the shadow, the master of the castle hides as he watches very carefully every move that Natasha is doing inside of his chamber. He stalked her quietly but there was something he noticed that made him worried. "What's going on with her? She's losing her consciousness..." Morbius thought when he saw how Natasha wobbled toward the window. He clicked his tongue in annoyance over the worry that he was feeling and showed up in front of her beloved. But it was the wrong move that he did. He received a punch straight to his cold beautiful face once again. “Seriously, how many times you can punch my face in one day so, I can prepare myself for it?” Morbius sighed as he was easing the side of his face that Natasha had accidentally punched.
“Master.” Rizal knocked on Morbius’s chamber before entering. “Don’t disturb me if you have nothing to report. I’m not in a very good mood today.” Morbius was standing by the window looking very deep into nothingness. Rizal noticed that his master was trying to calm himself down from the news that he received earlier. “I can tell that already, Master but we’ve got those two people who stole the truck of rice from the farmers.” Rizal reported what he got. Morbius took a sip from his blood wine. “Good. Are they taken care of very well?” he commented before asking. “Yes, Master and they’re waiting for your sentence.” his butler secretary answered politely. “I’ll be right there. Tell them, to hold them down and make sure nob
Natasha did not know how to react but something flashed at the back of her mind regarding the twins she saw before. It made her wonder if that was the twins that her mate was referring to. But she decided to find it for herself and play it cool. “When you said ‘my twins’ you have kids?” Natasha asked a bit intrigued about what Morbius had just mentioned to her. “Ahm…yeah…they were ten and still growing fast…” Morbius’s voice wavered a little out of agitation to what decision Natasha might give him. “I see…but why I didn’t see them around you often?” she wondered as she started picking some scattered things around the messy room of her mate. “I…none of your business…so, do we have a deal?” Morbius didn’t know what to say and just dropped it before askin
Time skipped from days to weeks to months and to years and yet nothing seemed to change. The sky was clear and serene even the vast greenfield of El Mezzanotte was indeed filled with peace after some annoyance and rebuilding of the land. But among the peacefulness, the local farmers finally found their other half and built their own families yet, still busy doing what had been assigned to them by their lady and master. Speaking of their lady and master, something seems to switch as soon as their youngest hits five. "MORBIUS, OFFICE NOW!!!" Natasha's fuming voice began to echo throughout the entire land alarming everyone especially her husband, Morbius. Ever since the youngest turned five years old, Morbius started doing more outside field work than usual. He trained with the newbies and youngsters including their
Thunder, lightning, and heavy rain make noise outside the vast greenfield of El Mezzanotte land. There was a newly built barn house next to the hilltop castle where faint groans echoed as if there was a sick animal around. But like the old burned ones, there was a secret trap door leading to a basement filled with dust and rust, smoke, and blood from a captive creature. "KILL ME NOW!" A very loud scream echoed throughout the entire basement. But it was followed by a sarcastic laugh that echoed well throughout the walls of the basement. The lights around the space were flickering and the wall was filled with stains of random bloods of animals or traitors. The sounds of groans and moving chains were making the creepy space more eerie like a haunted space. But the further it went, a tormenting conversation began to
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and yet, Natasha was not speaking terms with everyone. She rarely went out of the room without Morbius beside her. She walked like a hungry zombie whenever she walked alone in the hall of the castle. Everyone was a bit skeptical but when they learned about her being pregnant, they were trying to be understanding. She just has a different way of having a baby. "Wifey, I heard from Rean that you and our baby are doing great." Morbius was drying his hair after a very long day of work throughout the entire land. He was used to it before but when Natasha came, his hard work suddenly got lightened. But not for a couple of months. Natasha just watched Morbius carefully while wearing decent night clothing. She wanted to speak to him but due to her weird pregnancy, she lost her voice like it
It's almost a month already since they handled Lupo's situation on their hands. Everything seemed to move freely once again and peacefully but behind the wall of the castle, everyone was trying to be happy and move forward yet, not that well. "I hope Lady Nat is okay now..." one of the servants hoped for the better well-being of their lady. "She'll be...Master is there to help her this time." another one commented while cleaning up inside the kitchen. "Hope so." Another servant agreed with a hopeful sigh. Everyone was worried about their lady's well-being ever since Morbius managed to put Natasha to sleep, she hadn't woke up for three weeks already. It was almost four weeks and there was no sign of waking up and it was worrying Morbius.
As anger was taking its toll on Natasha, she was not a doctor that everyone knew about. She began to be a merciless alpha who overly protected her pack and the land that she owned alongside her mate. Lupo wasn't exempted from her wrath. Nobody does. "This is for my lost pack and for killing my mother, Thalia." She gave two tormenting lightning strikes from the sky making Lupo howl in pain. "And this one for endangering and manipulating the innocent desire of every creature you crossed with." She was growling deeper and full of hatred. She even gave her enormous punch causing Lupo to stumble like a bouncing ball on the earthly ground before crashing and smashing two old pine trees around the training field. Natasha was empty and cold yet the heat from her anger was releasing her
The night just unfolds the strongest storm that ever hit the land of El Mezannotte. The rain was even falling heavy and the wind furiously made everything not just sway but dancing wild as if it was ripping the greenery around the woods. Even the thunder was clapping furiously and the lightning didn't stop from slicing the sky in anger. It was indeed a furious typhoon. 'MASTER, THEY WERE PRESSING ON.' 'The flames around the perimeter were now gone.' In annoyance, Morbius clicked his tongue when he heard the report from his men over the castle's perimeter. He glanced over at his beloved who kept fighting with her bear fist against Lupo. 'GO! I'll handle him.' "Please be sa
Noises from a nonstop fight between creatures of the night. They battle by force, one was being manipulated to invade and kill while the others were defending their land. Yet, with the magical barrier, no human being outside the castle's land was alarmed by the blazing fire from the explosion happening within the castle. "Belle," Ceres called her wife as soon as they got back together in the middle of the fight. "Don't even think about using our Immortal Blood here. We're just helping them." Frizabelle quickly said to her causing Ceres to pout as she slammed the rogue's head on the ground, making it unconscious. "Let them deal the rest. We could only stun or immobilize them but never kill them. We're not assigned to do that, Ceres." Francesca added when she kicked a reckless rogue to its head
Groaning. Panting. Growling. Those are the things that were echoing throughout the entire barn house where Morbius kept his prisoner tormented. "Is that all you have? Pathetic, Morbius's pets. HAHAHA!" Lupo laughed like a lunatic while bleeding from the punches that he was receiving. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" The male werewolf who was assigned to punching him shouted. "We're more than you think. We're just holding ourselves from the likes of you." Another vampire but a lady spoke with venom while smoking at the staircase's railing. "You touched our lady and this was from us." Another male vampire coldly added before a back fist slapped Lupo's face.
As another day came to their lives, Natasha and Sandy decided to stroll around the market to check things in person as well as to buy something for her personally."Sandy, what do you think? Natasha asked as soon as they came out from the fitting room of the clothing shop."Hm, they look great on you. You look professional." Sandy commented on the suit that her lady was wearing."I am. But do you think the color was the right one for me?" she asked Sandy."Anything suits you but when it comes to color, I think you're the same as our master. He loves crimson red or maroon color." She suggested as she picked the color and handed it to Natasha."Well, since I do have fair skin tone color, I think dark colors won't
