30. CATCHING A COLD

I had seen her exit the park after yelling at her lapdog, Sawyer, dressed in a short sundress and sandals with some sunglasses to complete the look. Simple, yet managing to catch my full attention.

I went to the park occasionally for some charity business. It was why I had been there this evening. Imagine my surprise when I saw her there, having a good time with Sawyer, almost like she had gotten over her loss so quickly. I did not know what I was expecting when I saw her again, but it was definitely not a woman who laughed and played like there was only today left to live.

I found myself staying there for longer than I had intended because of her. James , who had come with me was just glad that we got to stay a while longer, going off to find innocent women to chat with.

I had just sent James a text that I was done here when I saw them in another corner, with some other people. James eventually came to me and with a huge on my face, I turned around and started to make my way
