29. DANGEROUS RIDES

We got to the park by 5pm and I already had a smile on my face as soon as I alighted the car we had come with. I had changed into something more casual. A simple sundress and a pair of sunglasses with a pair of cute, pink sandals.

I was makeup free now, seeing as we would just simply go home from here and I was putting on sunglasses too.

I stood on the grass, wrapping my arms around my chest as I looked around. The park was not as noisy as it would have truly been if there were more children.

Understandably, it was already late and they had school tomorrow.. most of them, at least. A boy and girl exchanging flowers a few inches from me caught my attention. They both looked like they could be three or four at most.

The thoughts of the child I had lost flooded my mind again. I bit down on my bottom lip, watching them longingly. I had wanted that child so bad; he or she would have been the only blood-related family I would have left. But Vincent had his mistress take away the dr
