The ride to the palace was agonizing. I refused to leave Trixie’s side and Damien felt the same. She sat in the small space between us, pointing and asking about things the entire time. If I wasn’t so on edge from my fight with mother I’d have found it endearing. The old Queen had pretty much cussed me out in every way imaginable for breaking the engagement. I’d never seen her so angry.

I normally try to do one or two chapters a day but my day job has been working the extra this week and today is my son's birthday so I do not have an update today :-)
