~Trixie's Point of View~
I did everything possible to hold it together. The whole walk back to the house, all my mates did was fight. I rotated numerous times between them, they even fought over who got to carry me because they somehow decided I would get too dirty walking on my own. By the time we were back to my shoes, I was pretty irritated.
Damien demanded the doctor come outside and disclose the results just to the three of us, further pissing off his mom.
“It is not your baby,” the doctor said, in a low whisper.
“Thank fuck,” Damien said, squeezing my hand. I let go of a hard breath, I felt faint. Dawson turned away.
“I
Victoria is in a tight spot!
Hey everyone, thank you so much for reading ... I'm sorry to say my day job has really caught up with me, my office has had two retirements in the last month and we were already short staffed. I am going to have to put this book on pause for probably at least two weeks while I rack up a lot of extra hours in the real world. I hate to do it but I after a twelve hour day and still getting some time with my family, I just can't give this the attention it needs right now. Thank you so much for your undertanding and I hope to be back soon! :) :) please keep the book in your library and you'll receive notifications when I have a new chapter! ~Saree Bee Update 12/16/21 I really appreciate your patience while I not only got through some real world issues but I went back and heavily reworked this book. I inserted a new chapter so it may seem like you had to pay for this one again but you should have gotten Ch20 which is new, for free if you'd alr
~Trixie’s Point of View~ “So Victoria, how are you finding the old Drexel palace,” Draven asked, with his best smile. I still had yet to figure out his angle. He seemed nice enough, outwardly said and did all the right things. But you could tell something was hard at work in his head. “It’s lovely. Trixie and I are going riding later,” Victoria said, without missing a beat. Riding? Riding what? Horses?! Ohh no no no... I cringed and stuffed some salad in my mouth, averting my eyes from literally everyone. I had no clue who the rest of these people were at the table but my mates were nowhere to be found. I wasn’t totally sure I wanted to see them anyhow.
~Trixie’s Point of View~ “Books will be written about Golden Wolf Beatrix. There hasn’t been one for centuries! Oh and you’re a hero! You’ll be absolutely celebrated,” the King said, practically giddy and giving me a half hug. He’d already seen me the night I first shifted. I didn't know why he was acting like this was new news. “Yes! Can you believe it! Quiet little Trixie, coming to the rescue,” Dawson cooed in front of reporters. “Yes but who is Beatrix exactly? Does she work in the palace? Is she a distant cousin,” someone asked. All I wanted to do was run and hide, but instead dozens of people stared at me, waiting for me to relay the story. Though I quickly found I didn’t need to, Draven was fawning al
~Trixie’s Point of View~ Mallory squeezed me until I was practically out of breath. “What the heck are you doing here,” I blurted out. Victoria quickly moved next to the psychopath, looking confused. “What the heck? This isn’t the right girl,” she asked, genuinely looking confused. I turned to look for Draven and he was gone. “I thought you’d be happy to see me,” Mallory said, completely fake. “Please tell me you have Jeanette in your pocket,” I asked, fully well knowing the answer. How could this even happen? She
~Dawson’s Point of View~ My little mate snuck out of the palace without my knowledge. There weren’t words for how livid I was, positively ready to kill. I immediately assumed it was something Damien was doing, some way to get her alone, sweep her off her feet and outshine me. When I found out it was Victoria and Draven, I was murderous. Nevermind the fact that I don’t trust Draven for a second, but Victoria should be doing everything possible to stay in our family’s favor. Asking her to mate with Draven was a slap in the face, and one would think highly degrading. He was clearly a pathetic attempt by our families to save face and keep some semblance of a bond between us. I didn’t see the point. While I thoug
~Trixie’s Point of View~ “Prince Dawson sent this dress for you to wear in the morning. He gave me specific instructions on how to do your hair and make-up. I’m not sure what’s going on exactly but he seems … excited about it,” Ainsley said, as I got ready for bed. I was mentally exhausted from my lessons with Celine. I was learning about all the different kingdoms, their top government officials, their imports and exports and blah blah blah. I hadn’t seen my mates tonight but I knew they had a lot going on. Still, I had to wonder if I would be sleeping alone? Having them both next to me last night was incredible, especially after what Damien and I did. I’d been blushing over it all day, obviously I’d
12/29/21 Hey everybody! Thank you again so much for your patience and understanding while I took a pause to focus on the real world and then re-wrote and restructured this book after publication. That was a hard thing for me to do and to ask everyone to start over again. I just want to again say that if you added this book to your library prior to 12/16/21 you'll need to delete it and re-add it to see my updates and then start again. The new additions mostly started around chapter 10 and moved on with a new one being inserted. You will not lose chapters you already paid for. I wanted to drop this note again because if you have not re-read it from the start to get all the changes things may not make a lot of sense going forward. Thank you again so much for reading! ~Damien’s Point of View~ We were all gathered outside, waiting for the prisoner and his lawyer to come in. Since Dawson insisted on making a big spectacle out of the trial there were literally two hundred people gathered, microphones and a PA system. Tables were set in front of the “jury” as humans would call it. The deliberations were held by a panel of anywhere from five to nine persons, with the King acting as the judge. Of course Dawson and I were on the panel today. “Where the hell is Trixie, why isn’t she out here? And where the hell is William,” Dawson said, practically whisper barking in my ear. I looked at him like he had two heads.
