~Dawson’s Point of View~

My little mate snuck out of the palace without my knowledge. There weren’t words for how livid I was, positively ready to kill. I immediately assumed it was something Damien was doing, some way to get her alone, sweep her off her feet and outshine me.

When I found out it was Victoria and Draven, I was murderous. Nevermind the fact that I don’t trust Draven for a second, but Victoria should be doing everything possible to stay in our family’s favor. Asking her to mate with Draven was a slap in the face, and one would think highly degrading. He was clearly a pathetic attempt by our families to save face and keep some semblance of a bond between us.

why was there never an explanation of Dawson marked her Author? is it still a mystery, is it just the mate bond, is it because his brother did it, or did he actually care for her? can't really root for this to work if we don't know his motives.

I still think it is really weird that there never was a conversation about why he marked her after rejecting her.. Not an apology, or explanation to why he was a dick to her and paraded his princess in front of her...
