~Trixie’s Point of View~
I stretched out, feeling better than I ever had before. Hmm, must have gotten some really good sleep! I opened my eyes and sat straight up. Where the heck was I?
I was in a basic room, with just one bed. Huh, was this … the medical cabin? I reached up to touch my hair which was a ratty mess. I stretched my neck and immediately remembered. I jumped to my feet and ran into the little attached bathroom. I flicked on the light and threw myself at the sink. I lifted my hair and looked in the mirror.
One mark, two marks. Oh, my goddess! Two mates!! Two princes!! My eyes practically bugged out of my head and I spun around toward the sho
~Trixie’s Point of View~ It had been about an hour since the King had left my room. In that time I’d showered and gotten dressed, then ate my other slice of pizza and chugged my soda. I looked at myself in the mirror and barely knew who was looking back at me. My hair was shinier, my skin was almost glowing and my nails had even grown a bit overnight. My bra felt fuller and my jean shorts were a bit loose. Did I get bigger boobs but lose weight?? I could still hear my mates outside arguing. My … two … mates. Holy crap. It was by far and away enough to consider but compound that with them being princes? I definitely couldn’t handle seeing them both at the same time. I’d be way too overwhelmed. I p
~Trixie’s Point of View~ “Come in,” I called out. The door opened slightly and William popped his head in. “I’m afraid your father is requesting your presence. It’s about Victoria and it can’t wait,” he said, looking nervous. Dawson audibly huffed. “I will be back as soon as I can, all right? You’ll let me know if Damien says or does anything he shouldn’t,” he said, getting to his feet. He didn’t even turn back to wait for me to reply. Was he barking a command at me? What would Damien even do that he shouldn’t??
~Dawson’s Point of View~ The ride to the palace was agonizing. I refused to leave Trixie’s side and Damien felt the same. She sat in the small space between us, pointing and asking about things the entire time. If I wasn’t so on edge from my fight with mother I’d have found it endearing. The old Queen had pretty much cussed me out in every way imaginable for breaking the engagement. I’d never seen her so angry. I’d had my best lawyer review the marriage contract with a magnifying glass. Literally all the language only applied once the marriage happened. It was all about the wedding itself and what came next. There was really nothing about it being called off, but unfortunately her parents had already announced it, rather publicly. As far as I was concerned, it was their problem. As long as we couldn’t get sued I didn’t care if
~Trixie’s Point of View~ Since Mila shredded my clothes, we decided not to change back for a while and it pissed the Queen off pretty bad to have a wolf running around shifted indoors. I wasn’t sure I cared right now. I really didn’t know what my mates were fighting about, if it was me or just some pent up anger. But of course like everything else in my life, I would get the blame. After sitting in the doctor’s office watching our mates get cleaned up, one of the servants put us in a bedroom. Since we couldn’t get dressed Mila just jumped on the bed and rested. *Well do we know how to make a first impression or what,* Mila snorted.
~Damien’s Point of View~ I was never one to pray much to the goddess, to ask for help. I never cared much about anyone other than myself. But now I had Trixie, and everything just moved in slow motion. Everything was me trying to keep train wrecks from touching her. But it seemed like for every one I stopped, another popped up. At least I got her away from that miserable bitch who made her life hell at camp. How do I keep her safe with constant threats, and try to begin a relationship at the same time? It had been a day since we arrived at the palace and already chaos was in abundance. Dawson was close to losing it, mother was ready to throw us both out. Father was keeping his stoic face, trying to be neutral and just absorb everything. To make matters worse I hadn
~Trixie's Point of View~ I did everything possible to hold it together. The whole walk back to the house, all my mates did was fight. I rotated numerous times between them, they even fought over who got to carry me because they somehow decided I would get too dirty walking on my own. By the time we were back to my shoes, I was pretty irritated. Damien demanded the doctor come outside and disclose the results just to the three of us, further pissing off his mom. “It is not your baby,” the doctor said, in a low whisper. “Thank fuck,” Damien said, squeezing my hand. I let go of a hard breath, I felt faint. Dawson turned away. “I
Hey everyone, thank you so much for reading ... I'm sorry to say my day job has really caught up with me, my office has had two retirements in the last month and we were already short staffed. I am going to have to put this book on pause for probably at least two weeks while I rack up a lot of extra hours in the real world. I hate to do it but I after a twelve hour day and still getting some time with my family, I just can't give this the attention it needs right now. Thank you so much for your undertanding and I hope to be back soon! :) :) please keep the book in your library and you'll receive notifications when I have a new chapter! ~Saree Bee Update 12/16/21 I really appreciate your patience while I not only got through some real world issues but I went back and heavily reworked this book. I inserted a new chapter so it may seem like you had to pay for this one again but you should have gotten Ch20 which is new, for free if you'd alr
~Trixie’s Point of View~ “So Victoria, how are you finding the old Drexel palace,” Draven asked, with his best smile. I still had yet to figure out his angle. He seemed nice enough, outwardly said and did all the right things. But you could tell something was hard at work in his head. “It’s lovely. Trixie and I are going riding later,” Victoria said, without missing a beat. Riding? Riding what? Horses?! Ohh no no no... I cringed and stuffed some salad in my mouth, averting my eyes from literally everyone. I had no clue who the rest of these people were at the table but my mates were nowhere to be found. I wasn’t totally sure I wanted to see them anyhow.
