Remember your promise

As Carl turned away, Amethyst's cold, resolute words hung in the air. This is not the first time she lets them see this kind of part of her, but it looks like they are still not used to it.

On the other hand, Larry, standing behind his father, felt a strange unease at the way his sister spoke. He knew something was wrong, and he also knew what could happen once they cut ties with Amethyst. Also, Larry could not lose the feeling that there was a finality in her tone, a determination that seemed out of place.
