The next day, Amethyst remembered that she had another reason why she went to the headquarters, which is why she returned early again. Amethyst moved swiftly through the quiet corridors of La Xiena headquarters; if yesterday the weight of documents was in her arms, today it was the weight of what she would say. The weight of the documents in her arms yesterday was almost a mirror of the burden in her heart.

She entered Venna and Maureen's offices, her face set in a determined expression. The two women looked up, surprised to see her so early. Amethyst was sure that they would talk about backing out again, so she took the lead.
