10 YEARS LATER......
Rosemary-
The ice cold rain water drips on my thick long black hair as I look through the bars of my bird cage. “Lift it!!!!! LIFT IT!!” The old wench Enora screams. Her face covered in moles. Glaring with her dark black eyes and rotted teeth. She looked as old as the Earth itself. Hell, maybe she was.
Rising to my feet in anger, I stand my body straight and with a wave of my hands the cage flys through the air. Her eyes widen in approval and fear. “To the pipe!!” She yells. I run like a lightning bolt to the field, picking it up and twirling the long pipe around my hands and fingers like a propeller, then move to my stance with my leg stretched in total balance waiting.
My nostrils flair as I catch the sent of somewhere I estimated to be between 10-12 werewolves closing in on me. Enora appears behind me and ties a black sash over my eyes. “Really?” I hiss.
“Heighten your senses” she screams
At that moment the anger rises in me as they begin leaping from every direction. Snarling, biting, growling.
It happened so fast as I spun the pipe in my hand. Crushing skulls, throwing wolves, even though all I could see was darkness, I could sense and feel every move around me. When I was finished playing around I took my fist to the ground and with it came a bright wave of blue all around me and I could smell the burning of fur as they began to dissipate.
I could hear Enora clapping behind me.
“These bastards did it. “ I thought to myself. “They turned me into the most deadly weapon this world has ever seen. Enora found every power I could possibly posses and made me master them 100x’s fold.” I felt my eyes go dark. “I hate them. I hate them all. They made me a monster just like them.”
I turned to face Enora, blue coming from my palms ready to strike her, when she replied “I wouldn’t do that child.”
“Is that a challenge?” I laughed.
“Tonight is your 18th birthday Rosemary” she stood sure of herself. “You will shift and meet your wolf tonight”
“ what does that have to do with me ending your wretched existence?” I said glaring daggers. I felt stronger than ever and I was through playing games.
“ You have outgrown me that is true” she said almost with pride on her face. “ but if you’re wolf is as strong as I think she is you will need my help tonight or you will perish.”
I looked at her completely dumbfounded. As if on cue, I let out a deafening scream as my body began to break from the inside. Through these 10 years I have felt a lot of pain but nothing prepared me for this. As I was shifting, Enora yanked my hair back and injected me with something she’d been keeping in her pocket. I screamed in more pain, then suddenly, I was standing on all fours, towering over the field.
I looked down at Enora and saw total shock and awe on her ugly face as she exclaimed “magnificent”.
I couldn’t stop myself. All the years of torment she had put me through to become this monster to use for who knows what? I snapped and with all my fury raging. I ended her in a quick break and I was free. I ran through the forest and stopped in front of a large river. I looked down at my reflection and could barely believe my own eyes. There before me stood the reflection of a magnificent blue wolf. At that moment i blacked out. In my thoughts I realized...
I was no longer a tool to be used for someones war. At that moment I realized I was the war.
