Even when Alaric was in a bad mood, he never took it out on his subordinates for no reason. However, nobody dared to talk to him about anything beyond work.

Even Ivy, the usually composed and mature executive secretary, quietly asked Zayn, “Why does the boss look as grim as coal today?”
