Chapter 8

The next morning , after having eaten Stella and Artthur both headed towards the valley where they train . Arriving there they both saw that everyone was standing without doing anything . '' Hey , aren't you training ?'' Arthur asked . Luke , looked at hhim and stayed quiet . 

'' Hey , say say something ?'' he asks . '' What's wrong with you all ?'' Stella asks . '' Let me tell you why they aren't saying anything '' said a voice coming from behind them . '' Hey is this you the one i saw yesterday ?'' Arthur asks reluctently .

'' Yes , Eris is my name , i have heard everything about you and i decided that i want to see how strong you are myself , how about it ? wanna fight against me ?'' she asks . '' But Lady Eris ,'' Stella was abou to utter something . Right at that moment Eris told her to quiet down . 

Stella did as she had said . '' I will fight against you let's see how much powerful you are '' Arthur replied confidently.. '' Thta's what i wanted to hear '' she said , amusingly . ''We will both fight with arrows and bows whoever wins will get the hEAVENLY BOW AND ARROWS from father '' she says . 

Everyone was shocked . '' Lady what are you saying , we can't hand it over to a human it is our most powerful weapon '' Luke says . '' I know i heard that he's planning to go to the valley of death to search for the great Alchemist Alexandrite then he will need some powerful weapons to fight against the monsters there he will face many dangerous enemies there who will be after his life , if he's not strong enough to survive there he will die , i want to see his resolution , his will power '' says she . 

'' I won't disappoint you , my lady '' says Arthur '' i am ready , i will show you that i have the resolution '' . '' Good , the competition will start in three rounds everyone needs to win two shots in all three rounds whoever wins more will win and if it's a tie then we will decide the other way '' says she . 

''Give him the bows and arrows '' she commands . '' will you be okay fighting against someone like her ? she's among one of the legendary archers in history '' Stella says . '' I need to show what i am made of i want to win the bow and arrow and prove my worth '' says Arthur . 

'' I hope you can win , i will be cheering for you from the sidelines '' says Stella . '' Me too '' says Lisa coming along with elder elf . Elder elf sat in the middle , he will be the judge . Both competitors have taken their positions . 

'' You both will have to shoot at the tree and make one flower fall from there in round one , in round two you have to shoot at the river and catch one fish with the arrow and in the third round you need to shoot wearing blindfolds and attack any bird or animal from the sound of it '' says Luke . 

'' Now you may start '' says elder elf . Every other elf was cheering for them . Arthur didn't had too much supporters but still Stella and Lisa cheered for them . At this time Celia and their party has arrived in the forest and heard all the cheering from the crowd . 

'' What's all the noise about ?'' asks Noir . '' Let's go and see what happened ?'' said Celia . The rest followed behind . They looked fromt the bushes that many eleves has arrived at the valley and something is happening. 

''Hey hey this is not the season for festivals at all '' says Celia . '' I know right '' says Adam . '' It seems to me that they are fighting againsteach other and Arthur is the competitor '' remarks Albert . 

'' And the one he's fighting against is the Lady Eris '' says Noir trembling with fear . '' Why are you quivering ?'' asks Celia . '' Cause she's a scary opponent to have , she's one hundred times more powerful than her '' says Noir . 

'' She came back from the valley of death unscatched look '' Adam says . '' She looks sos much powerful '' Albert remarks . '' Will he win ?'' Celia asks . '' They started '' says ALBERT . 

Both competitors took their stances . and were pointing their arrows at the tree . In the first try Arthur missed . Eris suceeded . In the second and third try Arthur suceeded . Eris failed in the third , so it's a tie . 

'' Two against two both wins '' says Luke .'' Start the next round both come to the valley and take their positions '' says he . 

'' Arthur concentrate '' Stella says . He hears this advice and calms his mind . '' Now , start '' says elder elf . '' Calm your mind , the fish is all i could see and nothing not even the water , feel the water with your body '' he chants . 

Eris was looking at him all this while . '' I will win newbie '' Eris says and shoots in the water . The fish was caught in the arrow . Arthur shoots also and his arrow was able to shoot the fish but it slipped past the fishes body . 

In the second try , Eris shoots first again and gets another fish . ''' What the heck is Arthur doing ?'' Noir was furious . ''' Calm down , he didn't learn all these in the human world so you can't help it '' says Albert . 

'' Maybe i need to help him '' says Noir . '' Don't do that he's trying to win using the powe and skills he has what's the point of the training if we help him out , we can only give him advice '' saying this Adam chants one prayer '' may the blessings of the spirit be with you '' . 

'' Adam is right let's cheer from him from the front lines '' Noir says . '' GO go Arthur '' shouts Celia . They both looks at the people shouting . '' You guys '' Arthur says . 

'' Win and show that women what we are made of '' says Noir . '' We are with you '' Albert says . '' Your friends ?'' Eris asks . '' Yes my buddies i know i will win now '' says he taking the stance to shoot . 

'' Let's see '' sayig this Eris shoots again . She suceeds . Arthur this time was able to shoot the fish and it was cut in half . Even in the third try he smoothly cuts the fish in half . 

'' You did it Arthur '' Noir screams . '' Yes i did '' Arthur yells . '' Calm down this is the main part in this round you have to wear blindfolds and shoot randomly and hit one bird or animal only with your hearing '' says the elder elf . 

'' Can he win ?'' Stella asks . '' He will believe in him '''' says Noir . Luke puts the blindfold on both of them . '' Start '' he says . '' Arthur hear the sounds of the surroundings only and ignore everything '' Adam instructs . 

'' Empty your mind and become one with nature '' Noir says shouting . Everyone was looking at them shouting . '' Please quiet down and let them both focus '' Elder elf retorts . 

Adam apologizes instead of their team members . '' He's a greenhorn but he has potential '' elder elf remarks . '' Old man , why did you let him fight against her ? '' NOIR asks him . 

'' Cause i want him to gain even more experience and grow and become powerful , experience is the best thing to ever have ''' says he . '' Lady will be frustrated to lose against him though '' Celia giggles . '' Do you already know whether he will win or not ?'' says elder elf . 

'' Yes w believe in him '' Noir remarks . '' Such friendship , i admire you '' elder elf comments '' i hope he wins against my daughter too '' . In the third round , Eris was confident in her ability so she shoots first . But unfortunately she fails . 

In the other case Arthur , first observes his surrouning and feels it then taking the right opportunity he shoots and it hits a bird . The bird falls down . All the crowd heers up . '' Don't celebrate too soon ''says Albert .

In the second try Eris was confident in herself . '' I won't fail i know '' she thinks . She shoots again and fails but both don't know whether they have failed or not . Arthur suceeds in the second try too and it was a squirrel this time . 

'' I know i am winning '' says Eris planning to shoot again . Arthur stays quiet . He concentrates his mind and shoots again . This time it hit the owl and it fell down . 

THERE WAS A LOUD CHEER FROM THE AUDIENCE . 

'' Yay he did it '' screamms Arthur's team mates . '' Take your blind folds off '' Elder elf says . Eris was confident but she was disappointed that she has failed misarebly . '' How can i lose ?'' she was furious . 

'' I won , i did ?'' Arthur asks . '' Yes you did '' saying this all other friends huggs him . '' But i am so much experiened and powerful than him then why ?'' Eris curses. 

'' You lost cause you underestimated your enemy , the moment you looked down on him you lost even befor the competition has even started '' says her father . '' WHAT '' saying this she falls on the ground . 

'' I only agreed to this to show you how much arrogant you have become now after you have come bak from the valley of death , so this is my teaching to you which you learned after losing to a weaker opponent than you '' says her father . 

'' So it's my defeat huh '' she utters . ''' The total score you have in all three rounds is four and Arthur has seven victories , so todays competition Arthur wins '' Luke announces . 

All the friends were happy for their team mate .'' I DIDN'T THOUGHT AT THE BEGINING THAT I WOULD WIN '' Arthur says . '' Thank you My lady for giving me this opportunity to fight against you ''. 

'' petty comforting words from the winner huh , but these won't console me at all '' she says '' i have lost so now you can take the heavenly bow and arrow along with me also '' . 

''What '' all the persons who were there was shocked to hear this . '' My daughter what are you saying ?'' elder elf asks . '' As you heard it he's taking the heavenly bow and arrow along with me also cause am his would be future wife '' she winks at Arthur . 

'' Hey , Arthur what were you doing here in our abscence ?'' Adam asked tugging at his collar . '' I really did nothing '' says he . '' Then lady Eris wants to marry you huh ?'' NOIR asks in a angry voice . 

'' What's the meaning behind all of this '' Stella asks . '' Eris say something ?' Arthur pleads . '' What do you want me to say ? i love you ?'' oh so embarrassing she blushes . 

'' All were shocked to see Eris's strange behaviour . '' Anyway , my daughter has promised i will give you the heavenly bow and spear come with me '' says the elder elf . 

'' Okay '' saying this Arthur went with him near the river . Elder elf puts his hand in thewater and chants '' oh holy spirit of water and the guardian spirit of elves grant me the permission to weild the heavenly bow and precious arrow '' . 

Right at the moment the water glows and the heavenly bow and arow appears at the moment . Elder elf picks it up and hands it over to Arthur . ''' Take this '' he says giving it to him . 

'' You can use it whenever you want when you are in trouble chant these words '' holy heaven give me your blessings ' then the power will all be yours '' said the elder elf . 

'' Thank you very much '' Arthur says . '' No need to you earned this with your own will power and worth you deserve to use it '' says elder elf . ''you can chant the words and it will appear in your hands to use '' .

'' Thank you i will be glad to use it '' he says . '' I know no one can use it better than you '' says Eris '' after all you are my future husband i will stay with you all the time '' . '' But i don't want you as my wife '' Arthur protests . 

'' I HOPE YOU CAN TAKE HER AS BRIDE I CAN'T MAKE MY DAUGHTER UNHAPPY LIKE THIS ALL THSES WHILE I HAD GRANTED HER EVRY WISH '' Elder elf says . 

'' We will think about it after talking with Richrd '' Noir says . '' No need to worry i had already talked with him '' Eris says '' and he had given me permission to stay with you '' . 

Celia and others were shocked to hear this .'' You can stay here as long as you want ''' says Eris .'' Yes you can '' agrees elder elf . '' Both father and daughter had planned this all along '' says Noir . '' I htink so too ''Celia agrees . 

'' You have gotten yourself in quite the trouble '' Stella says '' don't come to me for help then '' . '' Don't stay that Stella '' Arthur beggs . '' Let's celebrate '' Luke says . 

Other elves were all cheering for them .
